Vacation rentals with a fireplace in James Island

Great location for us. We thought the house was clean and comfortable. We would stay again if we were in the area.

We had a wonderful stay in Summerville at Colleen’s lovely cottage. She had it all decorated for the holidays so it was like walking into a magical setting and we loved it! It was the perfect place for our visit with family nearby and it made our stay so special. It was just as perfect for our little Jack Russell, Jax…he loved the surroundings as much as we did! We would highly recommend Colleen’s place to anyone wanting a cozy, comfortable cottage in historic Summerville!

We couldn’t have asked for anything better! The house felt very calm and comfortable, like we were staying in our own place! The house definitely had a “Charleston-like” charm to it and is located in a great neighborhood. Parker was a great host. She was very attentive and accessible even though we didn’t really need to reach out for anything. I’m sure if we would have needed anything she would have been there to help without delay. There were a lot of restaurants and grocery stores in the vicinity which was also nice. Overall, our stay was great and I definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting the Charleston area!

What an amazing property with so much to do! My family of 5 had an incredible stay for Thanksgiving week. Mark (the owner) is good people and the place is even better than the pictures. Lots of room to spread out, a great big dining table and a large living room to hang out and watch TV (or the beautiful sunsets). Air hockey, foosball and video arcade game in the Game Room. Horseshoes, corn hole, basketball, pool and large open yard. Double-decker dock with tables and rocking chairs. Kayaks and river fun . . . We give this property a 10 out of 10 and will definitely be coming back!

The cottage was perfect for our little weekend getaway. Amy was fantastic extremely helpful and very easy to communicate with. The king bed was super comfortable! The decor is eclectic but warm. We loved the fireplace too! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

Great stay just outside of the downtown Charleston area. I stayed with a group of 5 adults, but it’s definitely a kid friendly home too. We can’t wait to come back!

I visited the area with my soccer team and it was very nice to "come home" to a clean and spacious house after a day on the field. The location was in a nice neighborhood that we explored a little and found a great pizza place, Park Pizza on a street full of cool restaurants and people walking around. Great weekend along with a nice place to stay.

We stayed here on a bachelorette trip and it was the perfect location. They provide a parking spot close to the house, which was great. Once parked, there was no need to move my car all weekend because of how walkable it was to everything. The house was beautifully decorated and stocked with the essentials. Alex and Olivia are excellent hosts; I would absolutely stay here again!

I stayed here with an infant and a toddler for a long weekend… It was great! Great location that was walkable to King Street and different restaurants. Super helpful that the host had a pack and play available for use as well as a washer/dryer. The only thing I would know is that the included parking space is a bit tight and we had a larger SUV so it was hard getting the kids in and out… But not a problem parking there and if you had a smaller car it would be totally fine. I highly recommend for a Charleston weekend!

Great location. Little loud at times on the weekend but that’s the price you pay to be close to downtown! Hosts were great!

Kenneth was very helpful and allowed us to check in early. The place was very clean and perfect for our getaway. It was in the center of all of the areas we needed to be. Thanks for a great stay!

Matthew's place was great! It was comfortable, clean, well appointed, as shown on-line, and centrally located in downtown Charleston. The bed was comfortable and gave us a good night's sleep every night (not always a given...). And Matthew was very responsive. We had a light bulb out in the bathroom; it was fixed within a couple hours. Last, but not least, when we left a phone in the apartment, Matthew saw to it that we received it the next day. He really took great care of us. We will definitely stay there again!

This place was Very Spacious! There was only two of us and we needed separate sleeping spaces - this worked out perfectly. You can walk down to the battery, as long as you don’t mind a long walk. We Uber’ed down to some restaurants with no issue. There’s plenty of places nearby as well, just walk over to King Street and also an easy walk to C of C. Parking is a plus / easy access with the key pad and both beds were really, really comfy. You will hear some street noise if you’re in the front bedroom though FYI. All in all, a great place to stay!

Richard and his team were extremely accommodating during a very challenging time - family member suddenly in hospital. The property was a short walk to hospital, and he/they were flexible with my needs. They stayed in touch and responded quickly. The spring house is very cute and nicely appointed. I look forward to returning under better circumstances.

Martia’s place was an amazing find!! I was booking a relaxing senior spring break weekend with a couple of sorority sisters and we lucked out for sure!! The place was spotless, well stocked, spacious, and truly had everything we needed. I even found myself looking at future availability within a few hours of us arriving. We are so happy with our experience and cannot wait to book a stay with Martia again!! <3

This condo was absolutely beautiful! The location was peaceful with a great view and right by a beach boardwalk. The inside looked to have been recently updated and it was done with exquisite taste. The kitchen was gorgeous and the bathrooms had a spa-like feel. It was decorated beautifully and tastefully. I appreciated that it had everything needed, but was clutter-free!

Cameron’s villa at Kiawah was a perfect destination for two couples that had a wedding to attend. Walkable to The Sanctuary and The Nest, quiet and peaceful with a lovely view. Cameron was also quite flexible when it came to us extending our stay for one night. We will definitely be back!

This was a great spot for our group of three women. We all had our own bedroom and bathroom. We were able to prepare some meals there and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable with great linens. The family room was a great space to hang out together. This was a great location and a quick walk to the private beach area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Vicki’s villa on Seabrook. The location is perfect, private and peaceful, nestled in the Live Oaks with beautiful views from each of the FOUR outdoor areas. It is an easy walk to the beach and the club, which has a great pool and lounge area on an embankment overlooking the ocean. We love to cook, and the kitchen is fabulous, well appointed with all the equipment you need to make meals. Vicki and the management were also incredible with communication. We couldn’t have asked for a better week. We highly recommend Vicki’s villa—you will experience a peaceful escape and right at home.

We had an amazing stay. Grayson was the perfect host.The house was spotless, stylish, and exactly as described—maybe even better. Definitely get the amenities card, as that is the only way to spend money on the island. Loved waking up to all the deer in the backyard..

Would definitely come back! This place is beautiful and close to the beach. Private and beautiful surroundings. The beds are comfortable and the place is beautiful! Perfect place for the family or for two. Plenty of space and love the balcony with a pictiresque view. Lots of nature to see from the balcony. I came here because I was running the Kiawah Island Marathon and it was so convenient to stay here. This is the perfect place to stay if you are running this race or just vacationing.
