Vacation rentals with a kayak in Jackson County

We had a great time at the lake house. We could easily spread out. The two dining areas were great for the kids. We enjoyed the hammocks and the kayaks. The host was very friendly and responsive.

Wonderful place to stay while visiting Chattanooga!!!

Our group of friends came down from Indiana to spend a long weekend exploring the area's caves and trails and this place was PERFECT for us with plenty of places for everyone to sleep and socialize. The beds were very comfortable and the fire ring was perfect. Lake views and quiet surroundings were also lovely. Paula was a great communicator and provided us with recommendations on local restaurants, where to get firewood, and details about the home. We plan to come back again and hope to start a future tradition - camping outside this past weekend would have been quite cold and staying in such a nice place was great for group morale! Thank you so very much, Paula, for being an amazing host!

Mark's home was amazing! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need for meals. The view of the lake from the deck was gorgeous. The house was very spacious and could easily host two families. It was an easy jumping off point to get to beautiful hikes at Little River Canyon and Desoto State Park, and we were just 10 minutes from Mentone. We enjoyed grilling on the deck, the wood burning hot tub, and having family game night after a long day of hiking. We look forward to coming back in the warmer months to take advantage of the kayaks!

We stayed for a long weekend for our girls trip and had the best time. The house was clean and well stocked with necessities. The beds were so comfortable, and everything felt fresh and clean. Between the fireplace, Christmas tree, cozy furniture, hot tub, and pond, we couldn't have had a more relaxing time. Everything had clear instructions so we felt confident using the fireplace, hot tub, and appliances. A few nice touches: the toilet paper provided is so soft, the coffee maker has the option of making a pot or just a cup (and they provided filters), the house and linens felt and smelled clean without having any fragrances, and the list of checkout items/house rules were very reasonable and easy to accomplish. We would definitely recommend, and hope to stay here again.

We have family in the area and needed a place near Gurley AL to accommodate others. Our stay was great and provided everything we needed (although the weather could been better!).

Really enjoyed our stay at Lazy River Cottage! Home was clean and orderly and exactly as described with plenty of room for our party of 5. We don't eat out much and prefer to cook our meals at the home so the full kitchen was much appreciated. Making use of the kayaks was a ton of fun. DeSoto Falls hiking trails and picnic area were easily accessible by a very short walk. This was a great home base to explore Mentone and Little River Canyon. 100% would book it again. Thanks so much for a great stay!

The space is absolutely gorgeous, the calm river water is perfect for canoe ride , space is very zen, Bailey made outstanding recommendation and I highly recommend “Elevation Bistro” (make reservation. WiFi is good but Verizon cel is pretty bad (not that you need any connection in a peaceful location) the Desotto fall trail are enjoyable but will challenge you in some locations. Fort Payne has a lot of little boutique and coffee shop. Over all an escape from city life that command a return trip in the summer

We had our annual college friend reunion here this year, and I think we’ll be coming back here every year. This place was perfect. It had enough space for everyone without being crammed. Everything worked great, easy to get to. This was the perfect place for us. Cannot recommend Laura and this place enough. We will 1000% be coming back!

Lots of space for our family get together. Prime location to get to area attractions (Mentone, hiking, swimming spots). Well equipped kitchens in both cabins. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. We particularly enjoyed the screened porches. There were kids games and puzzles for inside fun as well as paddle boards and floats for water fun.

This is the perfect spot for a group gathering. We came for a bachelorette celebration and every detail was perfect, including a bottle of bubbly for the bride! Has everything you need for a peaceful, private stay with a KILLER view. Trying to find a reason to come back and just sit on the porch the whole stay. Highly recommend!

Cabin was cozy and everything we needed for a restful weekend. We hope to come back sometime!

Absolutely loved this spot. Mentone has a special feeling about it that has to be experienced. Really appreciated being able to stay at this cozy cabin! Loved being able to go for a morning walk/hike w/ my pup through the backyard. Will definitely be back!
