Vacation rentals with beach access in Hvalfjörður

This was a great place to stay. Matthias and Rebekka are nice people, and the apartment looked just like the photos: modern, comfortable, clean, and quiet. Having a washer and dryer was a real bonus. It’s also a wonderful headquarters in Reykjavik … parking is right outside, it’s close to downtown, it’s near a great bakery, coffee shop, several burger shops and a convenience store. Plus, in one minute you can be on the main road out of the city to explore the many natural attractions surrounding Reykjavik. And as an added bonus it’s just a 4 – 5 minute stroll to one of the city’s great swimming pool/hot tub/sauna/steam room complexes. If it’s available, don’t hesitate to book their apartment. (PS … I found that parking in downtown Reykjavik was difficult …. not that many spaces and the parking “zones” were confusing to figure out. If you’re able to, just hop on one of the many electric scooters that are all around and you can be anywhere you want in Reykjavik in 5 minutes.)

VERY cute place - a little small but not really an issue as you spend all your time in Iceland outside. beds were the ultimate in coziness and comfort after a long day of walking around!

magnea’s place was wonderful! beautiful ocean views, clean space, and lots of amenities! we even saw the northern lights from our bedroom window! magnea was responsive with our concerns. highly recommend the hand knitted accessories that are sold for charity. they kept me warm! overall, we would stay at magnea’s place again. thank you so much!

Great second floor flat, about 30min to downtown. Extremely friendly and helpful host. Easy property to find, great communication from host. Easy check in and out. Lovely clean, comfortable beds. Plenty of room for a family of 4 for a city break. Great, large bathroom with a powerful shower.

Enjoyed our time in Vogar, Matti was friendly and helpful. Location is very peaceful but requires a car. Celebrating a New Year there was a great!

This property is spectacular. It far exceeded my expectations for comfort, style, cleanliness and being well stocked with everything one needs. If I could give the property 10 stars I would do so. Anthony was a great host and great to chat with. I will return again in just a couple of weeks because I loved it so much. Anthony thinks of everything and is so attentive to detail. The town is walkable and has everything you need including great restaurants, bakery, local market and harbour walkway. The local swimming pool is just a half mile walk and is a must visit for the hot tubs and lap lanes. This is among my top Airbnb's that I have stayed at. Reykjavik is only a 15 minute drive, but you don't need a car to enjoy Hafnarfjordur.

We traveled with an infant and since no one was using the place the day before, Hildur allowed us to come straight from our flight! It was so incredibly nice of them and my daughter appreciated the opportunity to catch up on some sleep. Overall, the place is beautiful, spacious, and had an incredible review. I’d recommend this AirBnb to anyone!

Michelle was a great host. Discreet but always present and ready to give directions. Very attentive to the environment and things that surround it. The house is well located and equipped with its own charm, although not brand new it is equipped with all the comforts and equipment. The view is splendid.

The most incredible house we have been in, all luxury of details.. there was nothing missing, the house beautiful, the jacuzzi is an authentic madness, we have fallen completely in love with the house!! We will be back for sure!

We stayed wishing to catch the Northern Lights and we were lucky enough to do so each night and be there for a huge solar storm. We ventured out the first night and after that realized we were able to stay comfy at our airbnb and see them both in the front yard and backyard. The house was spacious and our children 7 & 1 loved the books and toys available. We were offered a portable crib and high chair which were convenient. There were plenty of novels for adults and a variety of books on Iceland. There is a washer and large drying rack, dishwasher, and full kitchen which was wonderful since it is a serene spot you can relax and not run down the road 15 minutes for food or coffee. I enjoyed walking the road to the church and admiring the horses next door. The location is remote and going to parks or the city required an hour drive. Our host was gracious and extended our check out which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Nice place to stay at. Very cozy!

What a perfect airbnb! Our family loved so many things-that all of the bedrooms were well appointed with excellent mattresses and so cozy, wonderful child friendly features like the high chair, the natural hot tub was incredible, the sauna was lovely and the living/dining area had plenty of comfortable seating for our big family and amazing views for enjoying our morning coffee and for watching northern lights at night. We have been to Iceland many times and stayed in many wonderful airbnbs but this one was by far our entire family's favorite of all time! We hope to return sometime soon!

This AirBnb is not n a prime location for most activities in Reykjavík. The balcony offers an amazing view of the Northern Lights with a self filling/draining hot tub. The place was beautiful, and was perfect for a romantic stay.

The Harbor Apartment was perfect to visit Reykjavik. It’s clean, comfortably furnished, nicely decorated, and wonderfully warm and inviting on a cold January visit to Iceland. The location was unbeatable, just across the street from the scenic old harbor and near plenty of excellent restaurants and steps from a small market for your daily needs. The host provided voluminous tips on getting around and responded quickly with a work-around when we discovered that the Internet network listed in the check-in instructions was down. We would definitely stay here again. Just one small caveat for light sleepers—the bedroom window is located next to the ground floor elevator and you can occasionally hear the voices of people coming and going, or stomping the snow off their shoes before they get in the elevator.

Fantadtic apartment with all we needed for a long weekend visiting family. Short walk to city center, nice swimmingpool close by.

Thank you to the brilliant hosts for making our stay so enjoyable. Perfect location beside the sea, and within 5 minutes drive of the supermarket and restaurants in Akranes. Under an hour into the city centre and just over an hour to the airport. The ideal base. Salvor and Bjorn were so kind and welcoming. The apartment looks out at the sea, and was immaculately prepared. Full of personal touches and all essentials. The hot tub was a godsend each night, and we got the northern lights on our last night. What an end to a great stay. Fully recommend staying here. If it was a hotel it would be a 5 star. Thank you again to our lovely hosts.

Beautiful new apartment near a bus station. Likewise, you can quickly reach the Skylagoon on foot and from there you can simply enjoy the northern lights. It was a very great apartment and I would book it again right away. 5/5
