Tatami Triple Shared Shower

Ola IngebriktRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Soi’s Guesthouse is a super place to stay when you’re in Kyoto! All the hosts were super helpful, giving us recommendation and even helped us out with an office for one in our company. The street is also really peaceful and quiet, but still very close to the old town. Would definitely come back!

This homestay is cozy and tastefully decorated with a clean and comfortable environment. The breakfast provided is not only a wide variety, but also delicious. The two owners were hospitable and the attentive hospitality made us feel so welcome. In addition, the neighborhood of the homestay is convenient, and there is a large supermarket nearby, so shopping is very convenient. The surrounding environment is quiet and perfect for living and relaxing.Overall very satisfying experience, would highly recommend!

Quiet B&B in Pottery town Mashiko - Tatami room

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is an excellent homestay in the Japanese countryside. Quite a few things to do in the area, such as the Motegi Resort/Honda Collection, Mashiko Pottery Museum and Shops, and the Pick-your-own strawberry farms. The area is famous for its pottery and strawberries, so these are highly recommended, though Yuriko offered samples of both to guests. I can't recommend this homestay enough - the food was delicious and the hosts warm and generous, offering to drive to and from stations and trying their best to entertain and communicate with guests despite potential language barriers. Other amenities such as electric bikes available also accentuated the stay. Thank you again for having me!

Nozawa Onsen Nagano Lodge SoraNozawa2

JuneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Loved our stay! Super warm, cosy, and homey with a great location – close to the ski lifts and gondolas, which made waddling up in our boots much much easier; and close to the main street, which was very convenient for dinner and shopping. Leo and Linda were so hospitable and welcomed us warmly. Felt like we were greeted by old friends :') Big thank you to Ellie and Cam as well for hosting us at the lodge, and for the great breakfasts! All in all, we left with full hearts and new friends.

Our stay at Abiya was very pleasant. We have met people from around the world, even a couple from Belgium where I have profound youth memories. Yoshi and Seongmin are excellent hosts who treated guests like family and looking constantly at our well being. It is definitely the place I will go back. Thanks Yoshi and Seongmin again and take care!

The food and the room were very satisfactory. It was my first time using it, but it was an explanation of the access to the inn, and the communication after I arrived was very polite and pleasant. I would like to stay again if I have a chance.

Nice place, except it was a little far away, but you can feel the real experience of staying in Kyoto, better than staying in a hotel in the city

Kizuna: Relaxing Stay in 150 yr old Farmhouse

유진Rating, 5 stars4 months ago
It was my first time traveling abroad for a month with my dog, and the process before leaving wasn't smooth, so I was worried a lot about whether my dog and I could get around well. Even so, Yukie & Kevin took care of a lot of things, so I really enjoyed the whole trip.😊 I am so grateful that I have so many memories that I would not have had if I had booked the accommodation as a general mansion or hotel! Thank you so much for picking me up by car throughout the trip to the airport and the station and bringing me a delicious meal every day. Everyone in the village was kind and kind, so I enjoyed the countryside of Japan with my dog. It was better because I preferred a quiet and relaxing trip with nature rather than crowded and bustling sightseeing.☺️ We are also looking forward to a new kids' house, so be sure to invite us when the house is repaired.💓 Both of you take good care of your health. We wish you all the best until the day we meet again.🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ Cosmo-chan and Hina-chan are also healthy and well!!

Onigiri House (Western-style room)

SharonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Sano family perfectly embodies what "home away from home" truly means. My stay was a heartwarming, comfortable, and unique addition to my trip to Japan! Great communication before my arrival. It rained a lot during my visit, but despite the weather, Sano-san kindly picked me up and dropped me off at the station to keep me from getting soaked. I was lucky enough to enjoy two home-cooked meals at their house, they are delicious! The nearby hot spring was perfect for unwinding at the end of my trip. Sano-san was kind to ask about my plans for my last day and ended up taking me to gem shops in and around Kaizuka city to help me find the items I had wanted but hadn’t had a chance to buy. One night at the Sano family's home was simply too short—I truly wish I had more time to enjoy their hospitality and explore the area further. I can't wait to return someday to see their adorable poodle, Vamos, who will likely have grown into an even bigger boy by then. 100% recommended!

Pension Petit House 4 Special Room in Myoko Kogen

This little place is a gem and the hosts are amazing! Though you can’t ski in/out, the hosts will give you a lift to any resort for the day and pick you up. They can also drive you to the restaurants in Akakura town. You can even order dinner in and the food was delicious! I would stay here again if I was visiting the area in the future.
