Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hobart

My family loved staying at Richard’s home. It is a beautifully designed, light filled house that welcomes you from your arrival. It’s well equipped, and the furniture is practical , comfortable and beautiful. The beds and pillows are super comfy. It’s in a perfect spot, with framed views from all windows. You can walk to all the markets, and the dock. Great pubs and cafes abound. The house has lovely communal spaces but also smaller areas where a few or one can sit quietly. Very happy to recommend Richard’s house to you!

This property was so good that we have come back for another family get together, the property is so perfect, with everything you could wish for. We cant wait to come back for another visit. Jason is so friendly & helpful.

We had a wonderful few days . Wonderful sleep on very comfortable beds. We loved the styling and the huge living areas.. Easy to manage with our elderly mother as she was able to sleep on the same level as the main living area and kitchen and bathroom. We would love to stay again and would recommend to family and friends.

We had a wonderful stay in Moonah! If you are looking for a cozy place to base yourself whilst visiting Hobart & you have a car then this is your place. It has great views of Mount Wellington, restaurants and grocery stores are all close by. Plus it’s only a 15 min drive to Hobart CBD. Loved the off-street parking, located in a really quiet street with a secure yard for our dog. The place was beautifully presented with lovely period furniture. Highly recommend!

Being able to have my dogs with me rather than boarding them for 10 days was great. Homely place to stay, and was lovely and warm on arrival in mid winter, due to Esther’s thoughtfulness of having air con going for my early arrival. I requested and was granted early check in as I had a morning event I needed to be at

Amazing stay at Michelle’s place - only regret is we stayed only one night! Michelle was so friendly, greeted us upon arrival and even offered us some freshly picked berries. Loved sitting in the sunroom with a coffee - amazing sunset view, and great place to do some yoga in the mornings. Met their farm animals as well - some alpacas, sheep, pigs, and many chickens. Highly recommended!

Brilliant stay in a fantastic location. Easy access and short walk to everything going on in Hobart. Lots of nice cafes and great restaurants near too! Lovely house too - would absolutely recommend!!

Close to everything and ferry / bus

We really enjoyed our stay and it’s an easy still to the waterfront, and just around the corner from OGEE. Huge apartment which would be great for two couples or a family and felt completely luxurious for my sister and me. I left a shirt behind and they organise to send it back for a small fee.

We were so lucky to fine such a beautiful house that 3 double bedrooms that was within walking distance to Constitutional Dock. The house was beautifully presented. Bec was available to answer my silly questions.

Charming space with a lot of character. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the living spaces and couches were spacious and comfy, too! Kitchen and bathroom are lovely and functional. You can hear some traffic driving by if you sleep in the front room, but that dies down at night and there’s also a fan in the bedroom which can provide some white noise. We slept like babies. The washing machine is very quiet and super efficient. We visited at a time when the temperature outside was chilly, so we welcomed the space heater and fireplace to make it cozy in the mornings. We appreciated the local recommendations and also enjoyed discovering so many small businesses along Elizabeth and Murray Streets. The location is great for walking or driving anywhere around Hobart. Plan for a 15-20 minute walk down to the CBD/piers, and remember that it’s a bit hilly.

My only regret is staying just one night! What a comfortable, clean, modern space. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The air conditioning worked very well in our very minor heat wave. Julian was clear with instructions on parking and accessing the building which I really appreciated. We will for sure be back.

Where do I start! The views are breathtaking both day and night. There is a pool table & ping pong table for entertainment in inclement weather. Tennis court and exclusive use of the spa were an added bonus. It was blissfully dark and quiet to sleep as well. Plenty of parking also. Couldn’t fault the place.

The perfect spot for a girls weekend! Check-in and location instructions were clear and the host was very responsive if we needed anything. The place was exactly as described/pictures and had everything we needed. Clean and well laid out, it was the perfect home base for our weekend. It was an easy 15-20 minute walk into town to the Salamanca market and Mona ferry (though we did get a taxi back up the hill at the end of the day). Beautiful surroundings and lots of suggestions for local cafes and restaurants from our hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would happily stay again!

This place is everything you need for a holiday. Great location, next to the beach, close to amenities and shops. The host is very nice, responsive and respectful. If you’re after a nice time down in Kingston area don’t miss out this place.

Peta-Jane’s home is fantastic. Everything was absolutely perfect and we are so grateful for our stay there. Her home is beautiful and has absolutely everything you need.

Wonderful stay, the property and grounds are amazing!! Hosts were super responsive and so helpful with my questions. They even helped connect us to some local services (ie babysitter and taxi). The industrial / farmhouse design was lovely. We were two couples with two small bubs. The only thing I’d call out for anyone travelling with children is the two ensuites open out to the rooms so hard to use the bathroom once your little one goes to sleep. Also need to bring blockout blinds as the en-suite windows don’t have blinds.

3...2...1...RELAX. Oh, this place! We enjoyed a three-week stay while our home was being renovated. Let's start with the location. It's easy to find, quiet, peaceful, and literally five minutes from anywhere. Close to all amenities you need, although once you get there, you really won't want to leave. Don't waste your time with the supermarket; just get the necessities delivered so you can enjoy every second. Driving into the property takes you somewhere else. With beautiful gardens and a charming egg chair hanging in a tree, you just want to grab a book and stay there. The home is exactly as the photos present and more—beautifully presented, clean, and just a home. It invites you to enjoy your time. The surroundings really steal the show. There's an amazing pool overlooking the bay at the rear of the property. It's perfect for wandering and discovering all the different flowers and plants. Walk further out of the property to a beautiful walking track. Sit back, listen to the water,

We stayed in Fay’s house for two nights.There is a steep road to drive up to the door but we made it. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and especially the dish washing machine which saved me a busy mom’s life. The location is perfect that you will find an IGA supermarket, multiple restaurants and a beautiful beach with lots of sunshine within just 5-10 mins walk. My family actually spent a whole day just having fun nearby. The place is very clean except for some smell from the carpet in the front door though not causing much problem. Wi-Fi is a bit slow but we have our own mobile 5G so it is OK. As instructed we took all the rubbish out into the big rubbish bin outside. The rubbish bin actually is around the corner down from the kitchen’s window instead of outside the bedroom wall. We first threw rubbish into the wrong place and the neighbor in the nearby apartment told us the right place.

Absolutely superb! Picker’s Hut exceeded our expectations in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway. Karen and Andrew's impeccable attention to detail has created a truly cosy and indulgent retreat. And the views are breathtaking!
