One building in the outskirts of Kure City

We used it as a home for 7 adults and 1 toddler. I was separated into a private car group and a bullet train group, but it was really helpful that they were flexible not only from the nearest station to the inn, but also from the inn to the destination. It was used in January, but we had an air conditioner, stove, kotatsu, and warm futons, and we had a comfortable stay. The road to the inn is sloppy and narrow, so it will be a little hard to see at first glance in a large car, but it was no problem if you go through the road on the map you shared. It was a nice and warm place to stay again.

I’ll never forget arriving at the hotel at midnight after our flight from Tokyo. Exhausted but excited, we were immediately struck by how spacious and cozy the place was. The first thing we did was rush to the living area to warm our feet and make hot drinks. The kitchen was impressively well-equipped, with cabinets everywhere and everything we could possibly need. The house had three bathrooms and plenty of comfortable beds, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. The only challenge was the winter temperature, which ranged from -2 to 3°C. The ground floor heater struggled to warm the entire bedroom, but thankfully, there were plenty of comforters and blanket heaters to keep us cozy. Despite that, we didn’t want to leave—we even wished we could extend our stay! The view was breathtaking, offering stunning sights of both the mountains and the sea. Plus, the location was super convenient, just a short distance from the station and conbi! Overall, I’d highly recommend this place—100%

Free Car Rental! Stay on Setouchi Island

PeteRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Beautiful location. Nice to have lots of space for our family of 6. We used the bikes to go around the island a couple times - lovely. We also swam out front at high tide. It’s a bit long to get to Hiroshima itself but we only did that for one day - took the car up to Saijo Station and rode in from there. Was about 90 minutes each way all-in.

【hagiumi】Rental of a whole building with a sauna

This was our 4th Airb on a 2 week trip with 4 people. Debated getting rooms in a seaside resort hotel (very nice looking one on the nearby beach). For the beautiful sea views, that would have been better. The house is exceptionally clean and minimalist - a nice patio and a bit of architecture visible outside. The neighborhood is astounding - feels like more well-preserved ancient temples and religious buildings, cemeteries, than lived-in houses. Here you feel Japan's population decline directly - very few people on the streets in late October. KOZUCHI is an everyman's izakaya with a big menu (only in Japanese); everyone agreed the tuna sashimi was a new dimension in freshness - lifetime memory. Waiter explained they get the fish much faster from the fishermen than in Tokyo. Try driving a bit east along the coast - almost a Japanese version of an Italian fishing town; great views from Mt. Kasayama. Hagi history museum good. Beautiful town, history packed.
