Cabin vacation rentals in Highland County

My husband and I enjoyed our overnight getaway. It was a convenient distance for travel but felt like we were far from home. The area is not secluded, which would be our preference. No fault to the host. The cabin is well kept, roomy, clean and very enjoyable. The host was very accommodating with a late checkout!

Great spot for a quiet weekend away. The property had plenty to stay busy with right there for you. Golf cart, hot tub, and shuffleboard occupied a lot of time.

Had a wonderful time, very peaceful and relaxing, looking forward to going back!

We really enjoyed our time here. Played basketball everyday. Town was only 10 minutes away with everything we needed for our stay. Would recommend.

We had a really lovely stay here. Despite raining the whole weekend and being stuck indoors, we were glad to be indoors somewhere which offered so much to do! Our 3-year-old loved the game room downstairs, and the kitchen was very well-equipped for us to make dinner. Nick was incredibly responsive and also so kind to bring over his chickens when he saw our daughter looking at them and letting her see the baby chicks. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

This place was a perfect private getaway. There was plenty of space on the property that we didn’t need to venture far, however it was just a few minute drive to serpent mound. Angalena was incredibly responsive and gave so much information about the space that we actually referenced it periodically and it gave us every answer we needed. The cabin itself was well stocked with all the little things you would need at all with lots of little notes to make sure you know how to use every thing. This place was perfect.

I loved this stay ! It was in a beautiful location , I walked up the road and found a pear tree , behind the house there’s a beautiful open field. I will be returning ! Only thing is that there wasn’t any salt and pepper like listed . But I didn’t mind too much. Also to note I stayed during a warm season and struggle sleeping in the heat, the AC unit is in the living room so that it where I slept during my stay. Host was very responsive and friendly, there are stores nearby with everything you need. I felt very safe here and held by the beautiful surrounding nature.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cozy cottage. Very peaceful. Sent instructions ahead of stay to be able to find the cottage and once there the home has been well kept and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Loved our time here! The house was as advertised, spacious, lots of amenities for kiddos and adults. Comfortable beds. Clean. Very quiet and the bedrooms were DARK in the morning with all the trees. Lovely cabin in the woods.

Just like the name states this is a very cozy hideaway. If you’re looking to go off grid and need some peace and quiet this is the spot. The hosts were Absolutely wonderful their hospitality and kindness are unmatched I was recommended hiking trails and all of what’s notable in the area. They were very accommodating if I needed anything they were ready to help. The area is secluded and your about two football fields away from the hosts house he even has a trail that leads from your cabin to there back porch incase you need wifi. All in all it was a wonderful time and I will defs be back soon to visit my new friends and hike some more trails!!!

Joe was an amazing host. He had thought of everything you could possibly need and it's there. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Clean, cute, comfy. We fell in love with this place and hated to leave. Everything about it was exactly what we were looking for, for a weekend of quiet time before the hustle and bustle of Christmas. The property was breathtaking. And for us one of the best features was Joe's dogs. Three dogs roaming the property. Super friendly. Calm. Very loving animals. they spent almost the entire weekend with us in and out of the cabin. They escorted to the shower house and back nearly every time. 💗💗💗 The weekend was very cold unfortunately so we didn't get to explore much but Joe happily provided us with multiple movies upon our request to pass our time relaxing in the cabin. Joe was also very proactive in insuring we had ample wood to keep the fire going in the fire place or entire stay. Thank you Joe. We definitely plan to return this summer.

Very nice and well kept. The cabin was one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in, we could definitely tell Megan takes great pride in her cabin. We would recommend this for anyone looking for a peaceful and laidback place to stay.

My wife and loved this cabin!! The cabin was perfect with all the amenities and extra goodies. It was very cozy and clean. Loved all the bear decore. Having a solo stove camfire on deck was a plus and awesome to enjoy next to the jacuzzi. Paula was super nice & answered all our questions. We would definitely come back. Perfect price and secluded location. We highly recommend this place. Thank you for everything!!!

So great! Easy check-in and communication. Our kids loved the beds in the loft. Cabin was cozy with so many fun details. Cute little ducks in the pond, delicious breakfast, fun tour of the sugar shack. Felt like we were family, and our kids already want to come back!

Stay was great - definitely recommend!

This place was a quiet escape off the beaten path but still close enough to a few restaurants if we wanted to leave. We used this for a quick girls weekend getaway and it was lovely. The hot tub was in great working order, the fireplace was a nice option to have with the chilly weather and Christina was responsive for a few questions we had. We would stay here again.

Nicole was incredibly accommodating. I reserved this space for my husband as a gift for Christmas and when he had something come up, she allowed us to move the date with no issue. She was also so considerate and graceful when my husband arrived lated than anticipated due to work. He had an incredible time recharging and resting and we've already shared this listing with other friends. Thank you so much!

The cabin was cute and cozy and the kitchen was well stocked with items often forgotten. During our visit we watched a buck walk through the property, loved on a very friendly kitty, watched a lot of birds and squirrels scampering around and had many Amish buggies pass by. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning sometime in the future.
