Everything was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay on this farm. It was close enough to the town, but far enough to feel a bit secluded. The cabin was clean and cozy. We felt right at home. It was great to be so close to nature (the river). We will be back soon!

We had a wonderful time at David's cottage and would definitely recommend this spot. There's heaps to do in the surrounding areas but just chilling out and disconnecting and exploring the farm is enough! Thank you Colleen and Janie.

Immediately after booking, we received a very nice message from Steven, including very exact directions. Check-in was very flexible, he greeted us personally and showed us everything, explained and made suggestions for things to do. And I don't want to reveal too much, but also something homemade from Steven enriched us dinner. Thank you :) The place is very nice, exactly as described. Landscape around is quiet, beautiful views. What a wonderful stat!! We absolutely loved the cottage feel with the quiet and remote location. The lapa/pool area was amazing and we spent happy days swimming and evening braais while stargazing. Close to stilbaai for outings and great to come back to the farm to relax. Erica and her staff were absolutely amazing, so welcoming and willing to make us comfortable in any way. Highly recommended!!

We were welcomed from the moment we drove through the gate to the basket of goodies we needed. Absolutely lovely! The dirt road may seem long to get to the farm but just enjoy the ride and the farm is beautiful!!! I Wish we would have planned a couple days just to sit back and enjoy everything. We were still glad we went and hosts went up and beyond to help us out!!! Special place! Highly recommend!

As always, we had a fantastic time and enjoyed every moment. The only downside I’d warn others about is that leaving is incredibly hard—you’ll wish you had booked a longer stay!

Awesome stay. The barn was perfect and enough privacy. Braaing with a view was amazing. Thoughtful touches as well. Went with a smaller car and did not have a problem getting to the place.

It’s a brilliant and peaceful place on the river. The boathouse is a great place to come with a group of friends or family. You can swim in the river or do a little bit of canoeing, which is really nice for it to be right on your doorstep. Overall, a highly recommended place where I hope to come again.

This is the best farm stay I have ever been to. Braham managed to take us on a game drive in his farm. The room was clean and the kitchen was super furnished.

This was the highlight of our trip to SA. Carol's place is an hidden gem submerged in nature. Don't forget to check out the zebras!

Really a piece of heaven! Decorated wit lots of effort, evering squeaky clean and everything we needed. Although quite isolared and serene, we felt very safe as there was a staff member living about 50 meters from the cottage and checked up ons us freequently. The hot tub was pure bliss! We had a wonderful time during our stay at Pepper Tree Farm! We absolutely loved having our morning coffee on the stoep overlooking the blossoming thorn trees while sheep grazed ambled by. The farm provided us with the perfect location for a peaceful getaway. The cottage was spacious and well equipped. We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet and rustic holiday. The surrounding nature was a brilliant bonus!

Belinda is a great host. Stoepsit is exactly what we were looking for. Being away from the hustle and bustle of suburban and city life, surrounded by an amazing view and peaceful environment was food for the soul. There are a few reviews that mentioned requiring a 4x4. Getting there was quite comfortable in our Corolla Cross.

Thank you for this sweet sanctuary space. The Tile house crept right into my heart! Clean and neat with a well-equipped kitchen, beautiful view of the mountain and friendly community. It is worth mentioning that this home is on the main road, a blessing with friendly locals waving past, but it can be a little noisy - for a little village! All in all it was a fantastic visit and would recommend Shannon and her well-crafted space in a heartbeat.

It was a home away from home. I love everything about it and I’m definitely coming. The warmth I felt there from welcoming to a nice chill with the hosts made my trip complete.

It's a very picturesque place, an attachment to the main house built inside of what used to be a water reservoir!! It is perfectly transformed in an unique and beautiful ensuite room, confortable and cozy. Despite the fact that we arrived very late and on really short notice (we booked the place while we were on the road and just a couple of hours away), Neels was extremely friendly and helpful, he offered us welcoming drinks, let us use the kitchen facilities on the outside of the house and even shared his food with us!! We didn't get to meet his wife, who was out of town at the occasion, but we met their three beautiful dogs, which are very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, but notice that it is a small farm a little bit away from the town.

This little spot of heaven in the Karoo was perfect for a quiet reset. Beautiful quiet surroundings, and amazing star gazing. Absolutely will return!

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Kliphuis. We could switch off and relax from the moment we got there. The directions and self-checkin worked very well. The house had everything we needed, even an ice machine. As our host Jacques was not expecting any guests on the day of our departure, he offered that we could stay an extra night if we wanted to, and of course we did! It felt as if we were in the middle of nowhere, we did not see other people for our whole stay. Although the place is quite remote, its very safe and there is cellphone reception. The huge stoep with comfy coaches on wheels and one of them hanging, was such a highlight. We sat on the stoep almost the whole day enjoying nature, birdlife in/around the river below, and the amazing view of the starts at night. We were woken up by 4 owls on the stoep on our last morning, what a treat for birders. We were also fortunate that there was water in the river during a hot December.

Sionsberg is an absolute gem. The perfect place to escape city stress and corporate mayhem and just come up for air. Anita's home is magnificent - beautifully curated, high quality bed linen, well-equipped, loads of small special touches and a truly exquisite garden. She went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful time.

Perfect place for the short trip to Barrydale for a nearby memorial service. Spent two nights in Betsie Cottage and it was the exact tranquillity needed. Grabbed a brekkie at the Blue Cow Barn one morning, love the view and the friendly atmosphere. We took a lovely walk through the farm, really gorgeous. Although we didn't use the kolkol, it was super to see it steaming and ready on Sunday morning when I work up ;-) Thanks for the lovely stay.

We had a fantastic stay in Barrydale and Daph was an extremely friendly, helpful host. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer than one night, but we'll definitely make an effort to visit again in the future.
