For a mini vacation in Bochum(Zoo and Starlight express) we were looking for a cheap alternative to a hotel. With Sam's apartment we found the perfect accommodation. Modern, clean and very close to both excursion destinations. With the personal welcome, you almost felt like checking into a hotel. Tip: don't pack your suitcases too heavy, there is no elevator ;-) We would book again in case we are back in Bochum!

We enjoyed our three-day stay in Marco's very nice place for three. Our late check-in was no problem and if we had any questions, they were answered very friendly and helpful, thank you very much for that. Nearby is a bakery where you can have a good breakfast. We can fully recommend the place and would book it again anytime.

Oh where shall I start? The place was amazing! I have to be honest it is bigger than you can see in pictures so I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I love big spaces so the apartment was great. It’s located on the 3rd floor, no lifts unfortunately which isn’t a big deal just something to keep in mind if bringing lot of luggage which I did for my long term stay but I managed well. The apartment has everything you need for cooking, cleaning and very comfortable stay as the bed is very comfortable and very big loungy sofa. I felt like at home I didn’t wanna leave. Only thing I would suggest maybe some black out curtains but that’s my preference. Apartment is on top of the hill so that’s cardio sorted! But it is walkable distance about 5-8 mins to town where you can find everything you need. About 10 mins to train station. Very nice and friendly neighbours and good neighbourhood. Julia was very responsive to all questions I had and easy check in. I had zero issues during my stay. 10/10

The hosts are always easily accessible, very friendly and supportive. Check-in is straightforward. The apartment has a practical layout, everything you need is available. Hamm Heessen train station is within walking distance, but currently only 2 tracks, therefore rail replacement traffic. It is advisable to arrive by car. Public transport is available, but buses take a long time to travel around the ring.

Julia is very friendly and the place is super nice. It is clean and comfortable. Julia has also thought of everything...she got us drinks, snacks and pizza. In addition, there is also no shortage of small items such as deodorant, disinfectant, toothpaste, etc. in the bathroom. Better than some hotels. We felt very comfortable.

We had a wonderful friends weekend. all a private bedroom that were very spacious. you basically don't have to leave the house. it is equipped with every comfort. a lovely jacuzzi with a lovely sauna in addition. bbq works super well. very spacious kitchen where you are equipped with every comfort. large living room with a pool table. everything was very clean. we choose a different house every year but this really jumped out. this home is highly recommended

Iordanis' place was excellent in all respects - it was spacious, well kitted out, warm (as we visited in December) and homely. Access to ample parking was very useful too as we had two cars with us. Iordanis was a very responsive host and was accessible whenever we needed him. The Christmas tree with the lighting was a nice touch as well!

Location is top, everything was very well maintained and complete. The garden is lovely to relax in and the contact with the host went smoothly. The upstairs neighbor is also very nice and always available for questions or a chat. It was also very nice that the dogs were so welcome. We enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

Despite the hour ahead, we were personally welcomed and instructed by the hostess. The apartment is bright and nicely furnished. Everything was clean and we felt right at home. The location is ideal for excursions in the Ruhr area. If the opportunity arises, we would love to come back.

Not to criticise the photography, but the apartment is actually much better than it looks in the pictures. Considering it is the host’s own apartment, it was very clean and organised. Great decor and excellent appliances. The host was very helpful, friendly, generous, and quick to respond to any requests. The terrace is gorgeous and definitely needs to be enjoyed, including the sunsets you can catch while cooking in the kitchen. Would definitely recommend to my friends!
