Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hartford County

This was a great location for our family of 7. There were enough beds, good amenities, and it was a great location to get down to the Connecticut River. It was centrally located and we were able to explore many cities in CT due to the location. The hosts were extremely responsive and the home was well-maintained.

Jason is a great host. My family and I enjoyed our time at this beautiful spot. The house is newly renovated and the layout is quite spacious. The location is fantastic for getting to downtown Hartford and Storrs CT (20 min to either) with quick and easy access to I 84 and 384. Jason gave good recommendations for restaurants and things to do near by. Visiting in winter time meant the neighborhood was particularly quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed using the hot tub and the lake itself was walkable due to the cold weather. Really the only trouble we had was the lowest floor is off limits which we completely respected, but it is somewhat challenging accessing the hot tub (lower deck) during the winter season as the upper deck steps were completely iced over and the yard has a substantial angle of decent and we had to gear up and tread carefully around the house each time we wanted to use it. This would of course be a non issue any other season. We would certainly consider visiting again.

I love this place. This was my second stay at the property, after having first stayed back in September - 'nuff said!

The home exceeded our expectations! We had a long drive from (Pennsylvania to Massachusetts) and were able to find the home and make a nice dinner soon after arrival. The beds were comfortable and we slept well, making our next day so much more pleasant. The location is quiet and private, and the home itself is beautiful. I would love to stay there again when we make another journey in the future. Martin was always helpful and available.

We had a great time saying here with some friends for New Years. David is super friendly and responsive and even went out of his way to get a high chair for us. The house itself is well laid out and has amazing views of the reservoir, and a real working fireplace. Nice local hiking as well. Property is managed by the owner and not one of those cheap corporate managed airbnbs which is always a huge plus. Thank you for a great time!

We had the best time at Amanda’s house! Her home was beautiful, spacious, and had everything we need down to towels, extra blankets, toiletries, and every pot/pan/kitchen tool you could ever need! Amanda’s instructions were incredibly clear and informative, and she checked in on us throughout our stay. Overall we would recommend her place to anyone and will definitely be back!

Jane was a helpful and responsive host, the apartment was beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped (and things were labeled for finding easily), the location was great for what we needed, and the cats were the absolute sweetest. Our family of 5 was comfortable and felt safe and right at home even during severe weather (super hot in the 90s and severe thunderstorms). Our kids didn’t want to leave! We had a wonderful stay in Katelin’s apartment - we stayed there for 3 months with our newborn. One of the best Airbnb experience we ever had. The place is beautiful, decorated with taste, really well equipped, full of light. It’s really close to the center of west Hartford and all the best restaurants. Katelin is super kind and helpful. We felt so much at home we did not want to leave. We will definitely be back there when we are back in the area. Thanks again Katelin!

Everything was great, house clean and great condition. Big place for my entire family, everything was amazing.

Neighborhood had a lot to offer, including a great coffee shop and bar just steps away and close to the city center. Made for an easy weekend for seeing a show at Bushnell.
