Vacation rentals in Hanwell

Our family skiing getaway to Crabbe was made perfect by our delightful stay at Deanna’s! A beautiful spot on the river with so many winter activities to do. Our kids loved the games, hot tub, sweet dog Harry and the little treats. The comfortable apartment had everything we needed-and the host were so kind and generous. Although you feel like you’re away from it all, there’s a couple of local pubs and restaurants nearby so you can get meals out if you want- but the kitchenette enabled us to make meals there too. We definitely plan to come back and go snowshoeing and xc skiing on the frozen river. (There’s snowshoes there for guests to use!)

Shaune and Danny were super host! They treat us like family. Cozy , super clean place, amazing view , great local town and it has everything you need to relax , cook , grill and unplug. Yet you can still check your email. My 3 Golden’s loved it and she was kind enough to let us have them! She left us the most delicious home mad jelly and dog treats. Recommend her place and other rentals 100% thank you! 🥰

This was a beautiful setting overlooking the lake. The apartment was clean, well stocked and comfortable. Looking forward to returning.

Our stay at Marie and Harry’s River Valley Escape was incredible! The place was spotless, quiet, and exactly as described. The hot tub and sauna were a dream, offering ultimate relaxation. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, making for restful nights. The hosts were kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

We enjoyed our stay so much! Carolyn was very responsive and friendly. She sent lots of helpful tips and reminders. The space itself is beautiful, the decorations were amazing, and the extra Easter decorations (and Easter eggs) were just an added touch. We had 4 adults and two teenage boys in our group and had lots of space. We celebrated a birthday on our final night with a campfire and dip in the hot tub. Would 100% return!

This little oasis is just that, it has a peaceful and welcoming feel. We visited for the purpose of ice fishing, and it did not disappoint. We had everything we needed and more, plus the access to the lake was very easy, convenient, as it was literally right in the back yard! I recommend this place to anyone, anytime of year. We will definitely be returning to see all its beauty in the summer! Mario was personal, friendly, and prompt in his messaging. It is obvious he is organized and genuinely wants his guests to have a good time. He has thought of it all, including a binder with all sorts of information about the property, location, fishing, bike trails, etc. there isn’t anything he hasn’t thought of! Excellent service!

We were looking for a quiet getaway and we got it, a very nice quiet place to sit back and relax. We managed to visit some of the surrounding areas including St. Andrews, McAdam and Harvey. The home was a perfect size for us and the view of the river was amazing, everything was beautiful and we highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay and enjoy. Thanks

It was the perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday weekend with a few friends! Right from the start we were made to feel welcome with a welcome basket with everything we needed for smores including fire starters and sticks in addition to nice handwritten note. We all loved the cottage inside with more than enough room for both kids and adults to relax or play games, sleep and eat supper. Outside was also great with the bbq, fire pit, propane fire table, especially at night with the amazing stars!), yard games and of course the beautiful lake especially with the leaves at this time of year! We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and a little swimming repeatedly including the last morning after the hosts graciously allowed us to check out a couple hour later! We, especially the kids, also enjoyed the visits from a very friendly pug the hosts had told us would likely drop by. All in all I highly recommend staying at Shore Thing Cottage! We will definitely consider coming back!
