This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed for five days in Fox Cottage. The accomodation was so welcoming, cosy and clean and the hosts friendly, informative welcoming and responsive Within one day our children our children wanted to come back. The cottage is:- - very conveniently located for local amenities and towns. - in a very peaceful location with enviable views which the picture window the photographs highlights - was spotless throughout and turned out with modern high quality furnishings - had lots of welcoming details (toiletries) which made for a welcoming and special experience - was frequented by two very friendly cats which the children adored - had a very peaceful private garden/deck which will be lovely when warm Should we return to the peak District we will first look to book Fox Cottage

We loved staying at Lime Lodge, the location, even within the park itself, was incredible with stunning views all around. We loved spending time in the hot tub whilst looking out over the fields of sheep, one of our party went for a run in the morning which also had beautiful views, the lodge was well stocked with everything we needed and the communication from the host was great. As we were staying for a wedding we did not make the most of the local area, however noticed that the lodge had recommended walks which I’m sure would have been lovely to do. Thank you for the great stay!

Was a very impromptu booking but so glad I chose here, the setting is amazing so private and was so lucky with the weather I got to really enjoy outside. Katie was amazing with suggestions and such great little touches like bbq fire supplies, milk etc. couldn’t recommend enough if you’re looking for a break away into the Countryside. About a 45 minute walk through the fields into the nearest town to pubs and shops Couldn’t fault, worth the 5* reviews!!

Beautiful place, was the perfect escape from the city for the weekend. Pip explained everything accurately and thoroughly and provided us with some logs for the fire which was great fun. The hut was beautiful and had everything we needed. The bath outside was perfect for a cold evening. Thanks Pip we had a great time!

The property is lovely and cosy, a very nice welcome with biscuits and Prosecco aswell after a long day of travelling, the field behind leads on to lovely walks with the dog also. The host was very helpful prior to arriving and was flexible with check in times also. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and family in the future!

Overall it was fantastic and would recommend staying here for the immediate surroundings. We had fantastic weather for April so we could sit out on the patio and enjoy the view and the kids enjoyed the garden which was big enough to play football and rounders in. The only nitpick we had were the towels provided were very hard and scratchy and after using a lovely bath or shower the towels were not nice to use. So maybe bring your own in case they are not replaced soon. Although this did not affect us as the weather was great. If it did rain a lot and you were stuck in the downstairs lounge or dining area has no view of the lovely lake you can see from outside. There are views from upstairs main bedroom windows though.

Lucy was great - always responsive and helpful/clear with instructions. The place itself was fantastic, I was there with my wife, brother and some friends over New Year, and we were very comfortable. We had our dogs as well, who loved the garden! (Though note that the garden is not fully enclosed). We had a wonderful time - thanks Lucy!

The perfect stay. We came to Jayne’s for a special night away for our anniversary. Had a great meal at the hand & trumpet. Came back & stargazed with the fire going for hours. Next to a lovely farm with beautiful views, very private space around the shepherds hut. Cosy space, warm and very well decorated inside. Everything you need is there. We will have 100% be coming back over the summer and following years.

I can’t recommend this place enough! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that it was thoughtfully designed to provide the ultimate guest experience. The property was spotless, well-maintained, and even more beautiful than the photos. Every detail, from the comfortable furnishings to the well-stocked amenities, made our stay feel luxurious and stress-free. The location was absolutely perfect, peaceful and relaxing. Raffaele was incredibly responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. We rented this Airbnb for a works meeting and it couldnt have worked out any better. The accommodation was clean and beds really comfy, the outside space was great so we did most of the meeting in the late afternoon and evening sat in the sunshine in the garden. We couldnt fault the cleanliness of the kitchen or bathrooms and the showers were really powerful, what was needed to wake us all up in the morning to carry on our meeting. We had milk and juice in the fridge when we arrived and tea and coffee was provided along with a little treat that was a lovely added touch. Joy (the host) responded to all requests for information and the information regarding access to the house etc was provided in time with easy to follow instructions. We would just like to say a BIG thankyou to Joy.

thank you hosts for being so responsive, for answering all my questions and requests with patience :) my family enjoyed their time there. my only nitpick would be some kitchen utensils were a bit dusty / dirty, and there was no hooks in the bathroom, which made it a bit difficult to hang up clothing. other than that, everything was as advertised and we had a fantastic and memorable stay.
