Vacation rentals in Halifax

We had a great time as a family of 6 (5 adults and 1 child), enjoying a Thanksgiving getaway on the lake. The house itself has tons of space, very comfortable, fast Wi-Fi, and matched the descriptions, but the real highlight was the amazing views of the lake and being able to walk down to the water and the dock. We also did some stargazing at night, and actually managed to spot the Milky Way on a particularly clear night, along with way more stars than you'd typically see just 70 miles from a major metro area like the triangle. Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet lakefront getaway.

Great location and views! We spend most of our time on the water so having the boathouse so close and hardly any steps was a huge plus! I like a lot of places in Lake Gaston. Very easy to go back and forth to the house (we are always forgetting things.) Huge bonus having a refrigerator on the dock. The house was beautiful, comfortable beds and linens, very large kitchen with plenty of room to cook. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the large deck. Great long weekend all around.

It was such a blessing to be at Renee and Kenneth's place. They were very accommodating as we booked this late at night for that night. Both of them were very responsive whenever we needed anything during our 2 week stay. Their place is very peaceful. We felt right at home.

Sean was an awesome host!. I needed a last minute stay for my aunt’s funeral and this was the perfect place. He was super proactive with getting all the details to me and responded to all of my messages, within minutes. The house was absolutely stunning!

From the picturesque views to the cozy, relaxing atmosphere, this was absolutely an amazing experience. With just a short drive into town, offering boutiques and restaurants, you feel right at home with the locals. There are adorable quaint towns near by, with beautiful antique shops that you should definitely visit. Kristen was the perfect host! She was very responsive with every correspondence, and was so kind to even check in to make sure we had everything we needed. We felt right at home with all the extra touches. From the plush throw blankets and soft linens to the fire table on the screened in porch. When you book this for a week, you’ll want to stay for two. I hope you enjoy your experience as much as we did.

House was amazing! The fireplace was a plus. You would never know it is pet friendly because of how clean the house was. Smelled wonderful too. Definitely recommend.

The pictures don’t do it justice. The home is so clean and absolutely wonderful. We didn’t have the best weather but it was a perfect weekend getaway to relax inside the living room surrounded by windows and sit in the hot tub at night! Would highly recommend.

Loved this place! The home is brand new in a new townhouse complex. Exactly shown as pictured. Kitchen was fully stocked! Bathrooms & kitchen was clean! 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor and 2 bedrooms on the 3rd floor. Each bedroom has its own lock which would also work great for groups too. Owner was super responsive, quick and very nice. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.
