The cottage does not have a generator. In the very rare event of a power outage, please come prepared and have fun and enjoy the outdoors. Most outages in the area are resolved quickly, and during the winter months, you can of course use the wood fireplace to keep the home warm until power is restored. Wait it out, we do not do refunds for power outages as they are out of our control.

In the winter, the private road is plowed by a local contractor. We highly recommend winter tires, and a 4x4 for adverse weather. Please come prepared we are in cottage country. We also provide shovels and salt for winter use. Please note that we are unable to offer refunds due to weather, power outages or vehicle preparedness.
