This home was perfect for our stay. Very open floor plan, comfortable spaces. It was the closest to home without being at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

My husband and I wanted to find a place we could hike and fish, Bill’s place was perfect. The accommodations had a view of the lake, it was peaceful and serene. The accommodations were clean and very comfortable, Carlos (his foreman) dropped us off some farm fresh eggs for breakfast 😊. Bill is a great host and I highly recommend his place. We can’t wait to come back in the spring when all the azalea’s will be in full bloom, and we can’t wait to fish the lake again. Next time we’re going to take Carlos’s suggestions and fish with tortilla’s. Again, THANKS for your hospitality and we will see you soon!

Sam’s house was beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed to feel right at home for the week we stayed. He was super helpful and quick to respond to questions. I wish all of my experiences with Airbnb were this great and easy!!

We had a great time very nice place. Lots of room for all of us. Beds very comfortable I slept on a bottom bunk and woke up refreshed. We had a great fire ! Couldn’t get the fish to bite but the rain had something to do about that. Everything worked as expected. We would definitely come back.

5-Star Stay at the Perfect Fishing Getaway! We had an amazing stay at this cozy two-room cottage on Lake Athens! It was the perfect spot for a fishing getaway. The dock was ideal for tying up our boat, making it easy to head out early in the morning or relax on the water in the afternoon. The sunsets over the lake were absolutely stunning—something we looked forward to every night as we sat on the porch and reminisced. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking up fresh meals, and the outdoor smoker was a fantastic bonus for preparing some delicious meals. The friendly neighbors even shared a few great fishing spots with us, which made our trip even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a peaceful lakeside retreat with great fishing, beautiful views, and all the comforts of home, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Shelly was friendly and welcoming. She was so helpful when I got lost because I followed GPS instead of her instructions. 🤦🏻‍♀️. The property was beautiful, peaceful and was exactly what we needed for the weekend. We will be back.
