it was a last minute booking but the host made everything go so smooth and easy with clear instructions how to get their, the house is beautiful and so peaceful, we also got to meet a friendly possum and a dog that hung out on the balcony. Beautiful pool with a view aswell! Would definitely go again, just have to be careful of leaches when walking around

thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cabin amongst rainforest serenity. even with the rain my friends were cosy reading a book in a warm loungeroom, while i had fun in the bush exploring rainforest tracks, rivers and wildlife. birdfeeding at breakfast on your verandah. sunset bbq with friends. national park access so handy. a drive to allen river, williams top lookout, lagoon pinch, headwaters lookout reminiscing of the bus trips the barrington guest house would take us on 20 yrs ago playing spot the koala. we saw...lyrebirds, bandicoot, quoll, diamond python, parrots, bowerbirds, echidna, pademelon and gloworms. cannot wait to come back to this location location location!

My family and I have stayed at many hotels and accommodations, but Susanne and Dave’s Misty Ridge was truly the best of the best! We spent an unforgettable weekend there (2 nights and 3 days) and my entire family was beyond happy. The stunning house sits atop a mountain, surrounded by breathtaking views and friendly wildlife—walabies, kangaroos, cockatoos, monitor lizards, and possums. Trust me, the place looks even better than in the photos! Both the interior and exterior were spotless and beautifully decorated, creating such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The spa, located right next to the house, was an absolute highlight! I’ve already recommended this gem to many friends and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. I can’t wait to bring my family back again. Hopefully very soon! I feel so lucky to have found this place and can’t thank Susanne and Dave enough for their hospitality. Thank you! ❤️

A peaceful house on a ridge, surrounded by gum trees and kangaroos. We had everything we needed at the property and enjoyed the moderately challenging hike across the ridge below. Gorgeous views across the valleys around from the deck, with ever-changing clouds and weather. We were joined by fairly large numbers of kangaroos early morning and in the evening - often hopping right up onto the deck beside us! The steep drive up from Vacy is well worth it for the peace and quiet and the scenery.

Beautiful location and the most perfect little cottage to stay in. The cottage had everything we needed for a couple of nights and the scenery was gorgeous. While I didn't partake in the jacuzzi or sauna, it gave us something to try out when we come back (because we will definitely be returning). Loved the little touches of the robes, the wine and the chocolate and the bathroom was ENORMOUS. Highly recommend this piece of paradise to anyone.

Antonina was a lovely host, who responded straight away to any questions we had. The home was just as described very beautiful with lovely surroundings. We felt so relaxed in this beautiful private surroundings. Would definitely recommend and we will hopefully be coming back in Easter.

Perfect one bedroom apartment that was clean, close to the town/river, and private. We very much appreciated everything Linda had done to make it welcoming with all the little added touches. Would definitely recommend to others who are looking to stay at Harrington.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! It was ideal for myself, my partner and our dog. The accomodation was perfect. Very clean, spacious and relaxing, with everything we needed. The resident horses were very friendly and came over to say hello each day. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed yard, which was surrounded in beautiful scenery. The location couldn’t be better. It was far enough out of town to enjoy the serenity, but also had multiple towns and villages within 15 minutes drive, including Black Head (quieter) and Forster/Tuncurry (large town). Helen was an excellent host - friendly and helpful. She left us a complimentary breakfast basket in the fridge which was a nice touch, and she was able to give us lots of local recommendations, particularly for dog friendly places. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth. Lastly, great value for money. I would stay again if I’m back in the area. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough!

Carol's site is very peaceful in the middle of nature. The DayDreamer - our accomodation - was the perfect set up for 2 families with many kids and 2 dogs! A lot of space outside to play as the campsites were not occupied during our stay ;) Very relaxing! Also plenty to do short drives away from 10 to 30 min (beach, horse ridding, treetops, even go karting near Newcastle!!) ; plenty to keep everyone busy. If your thing is eating / coffeeing out, there may be other better suited options but it was perfect for us! Thanks.

What an awesome space. We spent Christmas at The Wilds and it was just superb! Everything we needed was there. The place is gorgeous and so many amazing little details, just gorgeous! Highly recommend! The local Trading Post had a great pub/cafe, a shop for all your needs and a great gift shop. There’s also a free local pool for the locals (ask at the pub, if they like you they might give you the code to get in). Overall a fantastic experience!

Very cute idyllic weekend cabin Super comfy bed and living space. Has everything you need to enjoy a weekend by the fire with family. Location is great and we all had a lovely stay

Tha cabin was very clean and we had convenient and clear instructions to get in. It is not a house but a high standard cabin in a holiday park. The park was quiet and the swimming pool great. Access to the beach from the holiday park, 2 mn walk. Easy and beautiful beachfront. We had a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

The only thing we didn’t like about the cabin was having to go back to the real world when our stay was over. This is our go to stay in Glouscestor. The cabin is well equipped and furnished comfortably. Mornings you wake to clouds in the valley and evenings bring in a nice cross wind. The family of four kangaroos that were regular visitors made for welcome unexpected company. Catherine

Absolutely fantastic getaway location, filled with wildlife and blissful views. Spent the night stargazing and counting satellites passing by. Cabin is extremely well maintained and functional, equipped with everything needed. Katherine is definitely a super host who went above and beyond looking after us. Would certainly return in a heartbeat. If you are looking for authentic rural accomodation, look no further!

Wonderful escape, private and serene with a wonderful view. Air con worked brilliantly for the summer siestas, kitchen has all you need and beds very comfortable
