Family-friendly vacation rentals in Grande Riviere Noire

We had a wonderful stay, which we will look back on with great memories. The house is older, but very charming, especially the exterior with a fantastic porch with wonderful views of a jungle similar to the sea. We could sit on the porch and enjoy the sight of the kids playing in the pool and parrots and bats flying through the garden. The house is located in a residential neighborhood within walking distance to a nice supermarket, but would recommend renting a car so you can get around to nice beaches and sights on the island. The beach in front of the house was not a big deal. Elizabeth, who greeted us, was very friendly and available before and during our stay. The house was a perfect base for our exploration of the south of the island. We would definitely recommend this house as it is good 'value for money'.

it was a really wonderful holiday, Ambrosio gave us the best service, the house and the location are very safe, we enjoyed evening walks on the beach watching crabs, the pool is clean with sea water, the house is clean, every day was a little tidy which was a nice surprise for us . we enjoyed a barbecue dinner. we will definitely come back again

I stayed 14-21 February. It is a bright spacious and very clean modern flat. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. It is easy to get to the coast and plenty of dive shops. I found the process and locks for entry and exit a little tricky but it became easier with practice

Very nice accommodation in Riviere Noire . The house is spacious and looks exactly like the photos. 15 minutes from Tamarin for the departure of the tour to the island of Benitiers and 35 minutes from cop in a bottle. We had a magical stay at François's place.

Very nice apartment on the first floor of a house, very generous in spaces and amenities! The apartment is located in a residential, non-touristic place, which gives it more interest and allows to be in direct contact with the local inhabitants of Pointe aux Sables (Port Louis). The accommodation is nevertheless close to the city center and more touristic places (Port, Caudan, Central Market, Museums...). Very spontaneous, warm, festive atmosphere on New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve. Easy communication with neighbors. In addition to the terrace that offers a beautiful view of the sea and the city, we loved this environment, this generosity of layout and comfort (large living room, bright workspace, 3 bedrooms, terrace on the top floor) that made us really feel at home, at home. A big thank you to Florian for allowing us this unforgettable stay in Mauritius.

Our stay with Laurent and his wonderful family exceeded all expectations. The home was impeccably clean, peaceful, and ideally located. Each morning, I enjoyed working on the serene patio, which was perfect for staying productive during this working vacation. The fresh breeze and tranquil surroundings made it an inspiring place to start the day. In the evenings, we loved walking to the nearby beach for dinner, discovering a variety of restaurants—10 nights wasn’t nearly enough to try them all! During our stay, I had an unexpected mishap and needed to visit the hospital for stitches. Laurent and his kind-hearted daughter didn’t hesitate to assist. They personally took me to the hospital and helped communicate my needs, turning what could have been a stressful situation into a manageable one with their generosity and support. I can’t imagine a better place to call home on this beautiful island. We can’t wait to return and experience Laurent’s and his warm hospitality again.

The place was very nice and tastefully decorated! The kitchen was super equipped! The outdoor area was gigantic - nice to chill, eat and linger! The beach was very clean, the only minus was the grass and the sea urchins walking in! The best thing about the place was the pearl of the house Ashmita! She is a top chef and keeps the house very clean! She is also extremely likeable! We can give at least 100 stars!!! We would book the place again! Thank you!!! Set in a very quiet street and a very easy walk to the beach and shops. The main supermarket as Cascavelle is a 10 minute drive. The apartment is just as described and tastefully decorated with everything you need for a short or long term stay. There's plenty of space with a large dining area, well equiped kitchen with an added extra of a water filter jug. Beautifully decorated bedrooms, one with an en suite and also a large seperate shower and toilet for the other bedroom. The open plan lounge area has comfotable seating and a tv. There is a seperate breakfast bar by the kitchen hatch area. AC is available in the bedrooms and lounge. There is a small covered seating area outside. I was able to put my car inside the property. Wifi reception is very good. The property was spotlessly clean and I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you want easy access to many of the beautiful sights in the south of Mauritius. Thank you Shanon and your family for making my stay so lovely.

We had a great time at Amélie's place which is very friendly! The house is ideally located 5 minutes from the supermarket by car and 10 minutes from La Preneuse beach and 30 minutes from Le Morne (the sunset is worth a visit;)). The accommodation is very well-equipped, the bedding is comfortable and the accommodation is very clean. The pool is on top. Not insignificant asset: walking access to the ocean which is a real plus! We can only recommend booking with Amélie, we will be happy to come back anyway.

Impeccable accommodation well equipped and above all much bigger in real life than in the photos! Joel is a great host, very friendly and always ready to help you! Albion's mall with a dodo market is located 2 min drive which is super convenient!

This was such a beautiful space to be in while we were in Flic En Flac. The swimming pool is huge and well lit at night. Martine was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The beach is within walking distance, and there are lots of restaurants to choose from right around the corner. I loved this stay the most while we were in Mauritius, would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful environment.

Lovely house, good host and very nice reception via Karine. There was a housekeeper who cleaned once during our up hold which was perfect. There's a really good bakery and pizzaria nearby. You have to have a car to get around as the roads are not suitable for longer walks. Perfect for family vacation with small children.

Nathalie is a great host, she gave us tips for sightseeing and helped us get a rental car for a good price. Also she gave us some local food on our arrival. She always responded quickly when we had questions. We had a very good experience.

We had a fantastic 2 week stay in this beautiful property which exceeded expectations. The many staff (housekeeper, cook, cleaners) visited daily and were really helpful and attentive and always on hand for any requests or enquiries we had. Anyone keen to explore the northern part of Mauritius will have a wonderful stay here!

Great experience, the host is very good, the exact location was sent to us in advance, the room is clean and tidy, everything is fully furnished, especially suitable for family trips, there is a dock in the back, we can go directly charter to see dolphins and whales, we are very fortunate to meet such an attentive host

A very nice house. There is everything you need and a lovely housekeeper comes for 3 hours every day, who also buys and cooks for small money. A car is recommended, with the house beach within 8 minutes walking distance. if you are looking for tourist hustle and bustle, it's better not to go here. Albion as a city offers almost no shops except a well-stocked supermarket. The house with its pool and the helpful owner is a recommendation!

A very luxurious and beautiful villa just by the sea! The villa was so clean and modern with beautiful modern art on the walls and fantastic seaview, we never seen such a bedroom before with the turquoise sea outside the big windows! The children loved both swimming pools and both of them were clean! The sea was also good for swimming just outside the house! We also liked that there were a cosy resturant just next to the house. Finally, the house keeper Jocelyne made our visit so good! She was so kind and helpful and easy to talk with, everything we asked for she helped us with and kept the house clean and made us feel as home! We can strongly recomend this villa!
