Cottage vacation rentals in Goleen

Felt right at home in this tranquil location, the cottage was beyond my expectations, it is set inside the grounds of a beautiful old estate. Stunning private walks to its own lake surrounded by the most spectacular old trees. Our cottage had everything we needed and more, a fully equipped kitchen with the essentials included.. Salt, pepper, kitchen paper, cooking oil, tea bag’s, coffee, sugar, toilet roils etc. poolside towels to enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna. The cottage was even beautifully decorated with Christmas decor for our new year’s stay. I loved the decor, it was so well thought out, great taste. The bed was comfy, but best of all was the peace, I slept like a baby ! Will definitely be back if there is availability! Thank you Gerard. You are great host. Cheers Lisa

Esther was incredible from start to finish. The accommodation is modest with absolutely stunning views. The only drawback, which Esther had forewarned, was the power of the shower and switching constantly from hot to cold which is not great. However, I had cold showers which were powerful and refreshing and then warmed up by the fire. Great location and great host.

Wow what a place! Fantastic old cottage, beautifully decorated and a great wood burner. Sauna and whirlpool bath were fabulous. Would definitely recommend as a great base to explore the South West Coast of Ireland.

Really fantastic place to stay. The accommodation was perfect for us: great shower, comfy bed, friendly reception and a fully equipped kitchen. We've stayed in many Airbnb's but this one stands out due to the host going the extra mile. Bonus points for providing a really good iron and ironing board! I'll be recommending this place to friends and family.

Gerard and Ann were amazing hosts. The cottage was so clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and sauna so much. It was a really great way to end both days of our stay. It was a great location, as it is just a few minutes outside the town and very peaceful. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely like to stay here again. If really can’t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommended!

Sarah and Owen are great hosts! We had a lovely stay at their airbnb. It was very easy to communicate. Due to unexpected issues related to our car, Sarah and Owen offered a lift to airbnb from the town nearby. It was very helpful, and just an example of how much they care about visitors. Everything mentioned in the description was included. Truly amazing experience and without a doubt can recommend if you plan to travel around. House doesn't only offer very comfortable stay but also wonderful views around. It is also a great "base" if you want to travel and explore the area further. Fully deserved 5 stars! :)

Right from the start we had good contact. Our questions were answered very quickly. Aisling and Donagh are perfect hosts. The cottage is lovely and has a good atmosphere. it is well decorated and comfortable. The very nice wood stove fits perfectly and there was always a good supply of wood to keep us warm and for having a nice and cosy view. it is highly recommended with the nice village Baltimore and Roaringwater Bay nearby. There is plenty to do in this beautiful part of Ireland.

The home is wonderful. Spacious, lovely and comfortable furnishings, peaceful views from upstairs windows. Tom is super responsive; I contacted him about not finding the outside light, he came over a few hours later to check it and promptly changed the bulb. There are stairs leading to the bedrooms which are all upstairs, in case that's an issue. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a lovely stay at the snug! Frances was incredibly kind hearted and super helpful. We basically felt at home the moment we entered the cottage. Everything was explained perfectly by her and you could really see that she loves to be a host and puts a lot of effort in details. If you want to have a stay in ireland where you really don‘t care about the weather because you feel super cozy inside, the snug is perfect for you! I can only recommend. Rose cottage was our perfect accommodation during our stay in west Cork. We enjoyed the quiet location, the spacious house and all of its comfort that it offers. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, nice shower to name a few. We travelled with 3 adults and 2 kids. The house is quite large, which makes it possible to let the kids play in one area and the adults chill somewhere else. The road up to the house is a 6 to 7 minute drive on a narrow (1 car wide) road. This might be a bit scary for some, but its really okay. No steep cliffs or anything. Just keep in mind you might have to let someone else pass. The communication with Kevin is really good. Very prompt replies and well provided instructions. When we visit this area again we would definitely come back.

Lovely, comfortable barn and stunning location for my short winter break. Annette was friendly and super-helpful with tips for places to visit in the wider area and insight into community traditions etc. She responded quickly to any query and was a top host. Thank you!

Gorgeous and comfortable little cottage located in very peaceful setting. Only got to spend a couple days there, but felt at home right away. Beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail; warm and cozy fireplace to relax in the evenings, very comfortable beds. Des is a very responsive, welcoming and helpful host. Wish we could have stayed longer and will certainly book in again if back in the area!

Seat View is an amazing little cottage. One of the best stocked Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at. It has everything. Comfortable, cosy and in a great location. Colette was great to communicate with. We’d love to go back.

Gorgeous location. Lots to do on Valentia - really beautiful place. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite wet and windy weather. Jessica was very welcoming.

We spent a lovely New Year here. Karen's mum came over to check all was OK and she was really warm and friendly. A spacious house, very comfortable, located only a short walk from all amenities. Waterville is a great village and the surrounding area is stunning. We'll be back.

We loved our stay at the shed. It was a perfect little getaway in the countryside. I would highly recommend it to anybody, Riona and Paddy were wonderful.

Perfect accommodation in the perfect place - just wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! Stunning place to stay, stunning location, stunning area - we are already planning our return visit for next year. Every room is perfect and comfortable, superbly stacked kitchen and an amazing garden - the seals popped up to say hello ever morning!!! Genuinely brilliant, wouldn't hesitate to recommend and like I said, we will be back next year!!!

Our second stay at the cottages in two years which is always a good indication of how at home I feel lhere. If you are looking for a complete switch off, amazing countryside and total chill out... This is the place to do it.

This was our second time at Nick and Anita's place, and we hope it won't be our last. The cottage is beautiful, cosy, comfortable and clean. Nick and Anita were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was another wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our family vacation, it was cozy and had the typical Irish cottage feeling as we had imagined. View top, great amenities, a little cool in the beginning, but with the days and the diligent heating of the oven, it became always more cozy. Care was also very pleasant, in short, we'll be back for sure!

Pretty much excellent. Only small thing was the washing machine didn't work, but really not enough of an issue to detract from the full experience and plenty launderettes in town in any case so still 5*
