House vacation rentals in George

Was a perfect stay for the weekend to relax with our family. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the amazing view.

The place is beautiful, but you gonna freeze to death there, no heaters, and they got electricity problem, you gonna stay in darkness for straight 6hrs, the back up batteries doesn’t work, the fact that the full house has only 2 bathroom was a huge turn off, rooms are not ensuit… Host is very rude, they don’t care about guest, she kicks you out when it’s 10 on the day of check out.. we won’t go back there

Oblivion exudes luxury in every sense of the word: the windows, the linen, the electronic blinds, kitchen equipment, you name it. The view over the ocean, stretching as far as the eye can see, is simply breathtaking. At night, the starry sky and the soothing sound of the waves create a tranquil atmosphere exceeds all expectations. The house itself has everything you could possibly need, and more. You’ll find yourself not wanting to leave—it truly feels like a home away from home. Everything was impeccably clean, and you can tell that great care is taken in maintaining the property. Communication with Warren was fantastic; he is incredibly friendly and it’s clear that this house is very dear to him. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

We had a very pleasant stay at Mandy and Jonathans place. It’s a very safe environment, the kitchen is well equipped, there are a lot of things for children and the beach. Alltogether you feel, that this is a loved spot, not just business. We were four adults travelling with a small child and had a lot of space for chilling.

It was the perfect 5 day breakaway for our family of four. The house felt like a home away from home. Everything you want is there and available. Eldest son could play golf each day. Losts of walkways to explore. We enjoyed the restaurant at the main clubhouse. George, the onsite caretaker was very friendly and helpful. Golf carts to rent at the house is a great plus. Heralds Bay beach a short drive away. Would love to stay here again.

Lovely location, easy to find and great space for chilling out. We loved staying here.

Our second visit to Firewings, just as good as last time with a much improved golf course on-site, fabulous views, large rooms and an efficient and unobtrusive housemaid.

We greatly enjoyed staying with Wendy and James. First, Wendy and James were great hosts and when we left it was like leaving very good friends. Secondly, the location at the top of the mountain with a great view and tranquility was phenomenal. Third, the accommodation was amazing: luxurious, clean and amazing well thought out. We lacked nothing. Furthermore, the pool was great, the cats and dogs were completely cozy and we felt completely safe, in short, a place we like to recommend to other people. Wendy and James, thank you for your great hospitality!

Highly recommended stay, good value!

Our family of 7 adults stayed here for the weekend, and it was wonderful! We loved the beautiful view from the balconies, and appreciated each room’s ansuite bathroom - really a nice comfy and quiet setting, and we felt right at home. Because of the cold and rainy weather we had to use the portable space heaters all the time while inside (but we are used to central heating in the USA.) Since there is no clothes dryer, some of our clothes took 2 days to dry - probably because of the weather at the time.) Glad we washed a few loads as soon as we checked in on Friday. We enjoyed building a puzzle at night, (found on top of the fridge) but unfortunately we were not able to finish it, so next time we should stay longer and relax more!

Stephanie was an amazing host, always responsive, helpful and friendly. My kids and I stayed for a month and had a wonderful time. We took a walk to the beach almost everyday. Can definitely recommend.

Sandro’s home was perfect for our weekend visiting friends in George. The house is immaculately clean, comfortable beds and has everything that is needed. We chose it as it is dog friendly, has a garden and is enclosed. Sandro was very helpful and communicated well. Thanks for our stay

Gert and Ursula are the perfect hosts. They are most welcoming and a wealth of knowledge about the area and only too keen to assist and give you ideas on the local attractions. To be honest words can’t describe how welcome they made me and my family feel. We are on holidays from Australia and wish we stayed longer at the Half Way House. Not only were they welcoming but the accomodation was amazing. Clean, comfortable and has everything you need. It is a must for anyone travelling the Garden Route to try and stay here. Thanks again Gert and Ursula. I hope one day we are lucky enough to stay and meet you again.

Beautiful house, lovely personal touches to make you feel at home. Beautiful view over the sea from the amazing deck. Great value for money and would definitely stay here again.

Christa was an absolute gem! She made my 3yr old daughter feel very comfortable and busy by placing a large box of toys to keep her entertained. The place is spacious, clean and there’s everything you need.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is perfectly situated with a truly amazing view of the bay. The house was clean and has been set up with quality appliances and utensils etc. We loved the fact that it was only 40metres to the gate (coded) which leads onto the ocean and we spent hours snorkling in amazing conditions. It allows for great braaing and simply sitting taking in the view and its also well protected from wind. We saw loads of dolphins daily. Wendy was a very good host throughout.

Fantastic place ! it's even more beautiful in real than on pictures. This is exactly what you can wish for if you like a beach house : the view is amazing, you can see the sunset set on Mossel Bay every evening, the beach is literally downstairs, the house is well decorated and brings the seaside feeling inside the living space. Thank you Marya for the welcoming. If we come back to South Africa (something we are already considering 😄) we will definitely try to book your place again, we already miss the view !

Absolutely gorgeous place with beautiful views right next to a perfect stretch of beach with easy access. Apartment is large and beautifully furnished and well worth the price.

Great location, the house is spacious, clean, very well equipped- everything you need!!

It’s a really great place to stay, with great view, too. It’s a classic and cozy house, it makes you feel comfortable and it’s like a home for you. The kitchen is amazing, and have all what you need to cook for a big group, the bathrooms are clean and works in perfect condition. Check in is so easy, also check out is easier. The neighbourhood is so quiet and nice and beautiful. What is really amazing though; is Zanelle, she is so nice and responds very quick, we face a little problem and she immediately respond and send some help, thank you Zanelle ❤️ definitely if I came back here I’ll go to the same place

Elsjés Unit is an awesome unit,lots of beds nice country decor feel,awesome hosts,very safe and quiet, so close to shopping centre pharmacy's, garage,top butcher and Feul station,900m from main beach,whart more can you ask for, prices is affordable but you get more than you pay for,perfect getaway or family holiday,definitely coming back real soon.
