Fantastic to stay in really beautifull area. The villa had plenty of rooms and was spotless. Hosts very kind and helpfull highly recommended :))

Fantastic Villa! Absolutely amazing view, perfect for watching sun set. Great amount of space. You would need a car to get around as it's a bit far from things and hard to walk up the hill. Well stocked kitchen but frying pans are very scratched, I hope they replace them soon. Great communication from the host. We wished we could stay longer!

Jose and Sofia are excellent communicators, extremely charming and helpful. The Villa is a great size, well equipped and very comfortable and although anyone staying would need a car, that is explained up front and therefore is not an issue. The view from inside and outside is spectacular. Funchal is only 45 minutes away so easily reachable and there are multiple Levadas in easy reach for walkers. Sofia gave us great tips on good walks and restaurants etc (The Fish Factory in Paul do Mar, 10 mins away is fantastic) and messaged us to warn us of impending bad weather and days when the Levadas were closed to walkers. Although it is unlikely that we would visit again as it is small island and we were there for 12 days in mixed weather so saw everything possible, including Opera and a Classical concert in Funchal, we have no hesitation in recommending this as a perfect getaway in a quiet location. This was an exceptional villa and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The outside area is second to none with the most beautiful views. The sitting areas are varied and very comfortable indeed. We had a wonderful break there for three weeks. Filomena was extremely responsive and helpful in the run up to, as well as during our stay. The villa is ideally located with just one steep hill to climb and is a 10-15 minute walk from the old town. We would definitely consider rebooking this villa.

A beautiful house with stunning views, well equipped with plenty of space for everyone. Clive always responded quickly to any requests. The property is within 30mins of Funchal and perfect position to go and explore the coastline and mountains of Madeira Would thoroughly reccomend !

We rented Jan's villa for a week and got to know Jan as an accommodating and great landlord. The house fully met our wishes and ideas and was as described in the listing. We didn't miss anything - except a coffee maker with capsule system. But that is now available ;-) The villa was very clean including all rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We really appreciated it, everyone had their own bathroom and two of the three bedrooms even had pool and sea views. The kitchen is huge and gave us so much pleasure that we never went out to eat the whole week. Another highlight is of course the pool and the lounge with sea views as well as the grill (BBQ). For us as very active athletes, the washing machine was awesome; so we could wash every evening after our sporting activities and didn't have to take so much clothing from home. Long story short; it was just BRILLIANT. Thank you Jan

A beautiful place, peaceful and with stunning views. The host Jun pays attention to the details when it comes to the amenities which makes all the difference. It was a perfect, restful stay, would highly recommend.

We found the villa architecture very interesting and it was a special place to stay. The design seemed effective at keeping the house cool and shady, useful in a hot summer. The design is great for the whole family to find their own space while still being connected and comfortable across the open plan area downstairs. The stairs up to the roof top are very steep so that made carrying drinks up there a little difficult but it was very nice to look at the view. There are a couple of apartment blocks obscuring the sea view, but it is lovely to look across to the hills. We enjoyed using the kitchen, and easily found the supermarket (up the hill) on our first evening to stock up. Vicente kindly left a generous welcome basket to get us started. The bus stop is just around the corner (downhill) and regularly runs to the sea front and Funchal town. It was cash only, just under 2 euro each way. We also rented a car which we could easily park outside the house and use to explore the island.

What an amazing 5* villa! We absolutely loved staying here. Everything about it was just wonderful - architect designed house, incredible view, super comfortable beds and great kitchen facilities. Plus easy parking in the garage underneath. Also Rita who met us there was so friendly and helpful. We would definitely like to return one day!

Karine’s place is a lovely modern house with a beautiful ocean view. It is located right on the cliff with a banana field below (a few minutes’ drive from the Encumeada Tunnel - perfect for visiting the island). The view from the swimming pool at sunest was spectacular. The place was immaculate and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Karine was a very attentive and responsive host. We would definitely stay here again.

The property easily lives up to the description and the pictures. The houses are fully equipped, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools offer stunning unobstructed views of the ocean during the day and of the sky at night. There are no road noises, the place is truly calm. Grocery stores are a few minutes away by car, as are restaurants. Numerous hikes can be found in the region. The host is very reactive and will provide many recommandations related to restaurants and activities. Renting both houses to two families is a great way to spend time together while also having some privacy. I would go back there without any hesitation.

a great place to spend your vacation, despite the distance to the nearest hinterland with shops and restaurants, which you have to get to by car or taxi, definitely worth booking, the view from the apartment is amazing, we recommend it!!

Fantastic house and host!

Beautiful place and very peaceful.

The villa was just as the pictures, very clean. Very nice that all 3 rooms are en-suites. Location was perfect, not touristy & super busy like Funchal but only 20 minutes away. We loved being close enough to the ocean to hear the waves. The host was very responsive.

Jorge's care was accurate and good. The on-site care by Rita and her husband was excellent, very helpful and very satisfactory. The property is highly recommended.

Margarida is a fab villa, with lots of space and stunning view across the valley and ocean (especially seen from the pool). There were wild fires while we were there which created a layer of ash during a number of mornings on the ground and in the pool, the villa owner went out of his way to clean the pool in order that we could continue to us it. They are incredible kind, thoughtful, helpful and responded very quickly to all enquiries. The villa has all the usual facilities including a dish washer, hair dryers, coffee machine and ample size fridge and freezer. The outdoor eating area is spacious where we enjoyed many BBQs.

A villa with a chic view and everything you need to feel like home.

The house was super - very spacious and clean, beautiful views, and a well stocked kitchen. It is in a private and quiet area. The house keeper was very helpful in setting us up and responding to any questions we had. Highly recommended overall.

Heather is an incredibly sweet and warm host. We felt right at home and always had a contact person. The house and the outdoor area are beautiful and very well maintained. We especially liked the view of the sea. We are grateful for the time and will be happy to come back! ☺️
