Cottage vacation rentals in Franconia Notch

We had a great stay for a ski weekend to go to both Wildcat and Attitash mountain. Both were only about 20 minutes away. The hot tub was great to come back to and the space was very cozy.

We recently spent a week here & had a wonderful time. The house is private & somewhat secluded, and the location is convenient for shopping and/or going to the coast. The house itself was clean and the furniture comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, bakeware, and pots & pans. Rocking on the front porch, the hot tub, and the fire pit offer great relaxation with a nice view of the lake. We'll most likely stay here again next year.

Kelly’s place was as described and clean and comfortable. It was close to all the places we wanted to go. The hot tub was great, if it was summertime the lake would’ve been perfect so we will definitely be back in the warm weather.

This Airbnb exceeded all expectations, offering everything we could possibly need and more. My husband and I had a wonderful time at this cozy Airbnb! The space was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was definitely a highlight it was the perfect way to unwind and added such a cool experience to our trip. Alexa, was incredibly responsive, attentive, and very nice, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We absolutely loved it and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Milan’s place is a great value! How wonderful to find a place where a family of 10 can gather WITH pets! Room to spread out for movies, a game of pool or hot tubbing. It’s a space for lots of people…and lots of people mean lots of wear and tear. Even with that reality, Milan’s home reflects thoughtful care and consideration for groups who want comfortable together time. SO convenient to many White Mountain area attractions. We would definitely return and we thank you for a perfect space to make happy memories!!

The place had everything that you needed for a comfortable stay.

The cottage was cozy and peaceful, perfect for a winter weekend getaway! There was about 3 to 4 feet of snow on the ground but the stove kept the cottage nice and warm. The area was beautiful and we had a great time! We highly recommend staying here if you're visiting northern Vermont!

Fantastic stay and host was super accommodating. We had to extend our stay due to a snowstorm and they made it easy!

This was our second stay at the Stuga. Last time was in May so we wanted to come back in the winter for some snow fun. Did some sledding at the house and some snowshoeing at Barr Hill Nature Preserve just up the street. A lot of fun and beautiful as always. Nancy and Bob are great hosts, always responsive. Will be back!

This place is perfect! The house is so cute and cozy we didn’t want to leave. The hosts left a hand written card and a bottle of wine for us when we arrived, which was so thoughtful. Beautiful views and tons of privacy. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone!

It is a perfect base for outdoor activities in the whites. The cottage has a nice, cozy living room and kitchen where you can hang out and cook. There are two bedrooms upstairs where you can comfortably sleep. We had a great time staying there for a week, going ice climbing and hiking in the area!

This was the perfect spot for our trip up to NH, and little did I know it would turn into our engagement trip! Susan was incredibly helpful, providing clear instructions and responding to questions promptly. We’ll definitely be back! The yard was secure and ideal for our 7-month-old puppy to play in. We also enjoyed taking walks around the area! Susan went above and beyond by leaving a bottle of wine in the fridge, turning on the lights for us, and ensuring the cabin was spotless. It was truly the perfect place for our stay!

Peaceful home base for our Northeast Kingdom Ski Adventure. Quick drive into East Burke and close to all the great activities the NEK has to offer. The hosts were very responsive and ensured we had everything we needed. It was a bitter cold few days but the home was warm and upon arrival, the pellet stove was a perfect warm welcome.

Her cottage never fails ! I love everything about it and will be back again for the third time !

What a wonderful stay we had at Burke Mountain! Our son was racing there so we made a family weekend of it. Terrilyn was super communicative and provided clear instructions from booking through checkout. The cottage was exactly as described and perfect for my husband, myself and our three children and our dog. The place was very well maintained and clean for a rental that allows pets, complete with cleaning pads for pups paws and towels for drying after being outside. It was so nice to not have a TV and instead sit by the fire, listening to music while our boys really enjoyed playing with the legos there as part of the games/entertainment. We loved being so close to the mountain. It was the perfect weekend stay for our introduction to Burke—we will be back!

This was a great get away. Right on the lake with the convenience of using their kayaks, row boat, and peddleboat. Also had an array of life jackets for everyone to be safe. Scenery is beautiful, location is peaceful! We read, kayaked, played pinpong in their basement, sat around the firepit and listened to nature! The house is exactly how you see it in the pics, plus better! The home is spotless and has everything you need! Host Heidi is very responsive! They even have many board games and puzzles to play. The cottage was so beautiful, clean and cozy. Tom and Rosemarie gave us tips on places to go to try to see moose and avoid the crowds near the touristic places. Kitchen was fully equipped and everything worked just as expected. I just wish we had come in a hotter day so we could use the kayak and paddles on the lake! Will definitely come back!

Alfa and Eric were great hosts. the cottage was adorable and lots to keep us busy even on our rainy night. We are looking forward to booking another ling weekend in warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful lake a bit more. Thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us.

Dianne’s place was just right for my small family of three! The place was clean and well kept and had all the amenities one could need and even more than we expected. There was some construction going on at the house next door, which was a bit disappointing, but just a reminder that the house is in a community and not to expect complete silence at all times. Dianne was very responsive and kind, and all in all we had a very lovely time.

Don’t tell anyone about Shelley’s place! We want to be the only ones to be there!!!!! We had a beautiful time ! Me, my daughter and her 2 yr old son. The lake is soooooo clear and relaxing. Canoed every day. Loons in the lake everyday. Went and picked blueberries and went to the children’s museum😃 Close to Portland! We’ll bring the Daddy next time! Thanks Shelley

We rented one of the cabins at Lakehurst Cottages for a week in August. We were nervous because we were bringing up our boat and had a bad experience at another lake last year. Jim and Janet were so reassuring as to where we could keep the trailer and the location of a convenient boat launch. It all worked out great! Our cottage was a delightful 1 bedroom with sliders all around. There was everything we needed to cook meals. They have a fire pit with wood if you want to make a fire, or chairs to sit in by the water. Downtown Alton Bay was 4 miles away and we enjoyed walking around during an annual festival and craft fair. The town docks are plentiful and convenient if you have a boat. There is so much to do at Lake Winnipesauke and this cabin was in such a great location with great hosts - and guests!
