Castle vacation rentals in Franche-Comté

This was easily the most beautiful chateau we have stayed in throughout our years of travels in France. The decor is beautiful and everything is strategically placed to be elegant and tasteful. We were welcomed by a wonderful hostess, Lizzie, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home and comfortable. She gave us a great tour of the chateau and property, prepared a fresh charcuterie board for us, and was fun to talk with about our shared interests. The location of the chateau couldn’t be more perfect for safety and peace and quiet, while being close to the village and a short drive to the beautiful city of Dijon. We will certainly return to this location again. There is absolutely nothing negative that can be said about this location and the accommodations. I wish we had planned to stay longer.

Large castle with rich historical past, very pleasant stay. A perfect base for exploring the surrounding area, including the medieval villages of Flavigny-sur-Ozerain and Semur-en-Auxois, the site of Alésia, the sources of the Seine, and many others. Everything was perfect.

Thank you for introducing us to your estate and your area. We will keep fond memories of the place and its breathtaking view, Laurence's warm welcome, and various activities accessible all around. The cottage is comfortable and warm with its large living room, a choice that I recommend for holidays for families or groups of friends.

Delightful stay I have visited similar facilities as a tourist many times and have always dreamed of living in one of these rooms. With two wonderful and passionate sister, I was able to fulfill my dream. The breakfast was delicious, and after that we had a fantastic surprise, completely free of charge we had a tour of the entire castle along with the underground

We had a wonderful stay at the abbey. If you're looking to truly rest and unwind, the peaceful and quiet area is absolutely perfect. Rosita and her family were wonderful hosts.

We had a great time with the family. The cottage is perfect for 4 people: 2 bedrooms including a large one, comfortable bedding, good equipment, charm of old stone stones. The park is very nice, the pool is large (but a little cool at the end of August) and the perfect place to visit Beaune and its surroundings. Very nice welcome too: clear information and easy communication. We recommend!

Such an amazing experience!! The hosts were very friendly, the room was quirky and very tidy/clean, the grounds were gorgeous and the dogs welcomed us warmly on arrival. Highly recommend having dinner at the restaurant as the food was delicious and made our stay!

The castle was amazing, we stayed in the Sequoia suite. This was large, beautiful decor, everything we could wish for. Plus a tower room! And the bed was at least 2.5 meters wide, fantastic! The castle is full of the nicest trinkets, there are so many original details to discover. Every day, Brigitte gave us a route map with tips in the region to supplement our own plans. Really very convenient, we have visited so many beautiful places. When we came back, play a game in one of the beautiful spaces of the castle. Followed by a delicious 3-course dinner from Brigitte. We even got 2 recipes, it was so delicious! We enjoyed the castle, the surroundings and the enormous hospitality of Brigitte. We would love to come back again! Brigitte thanks for everything!

It’s an absolute gem—more spacious than it looks in the pictures—and the castle grounds are fantastic. I came alone for some writing time and, unfortunately, relied on a misleading review. To help others avoid my mistake, here are three observations: 1. The kitchen is NOT fully equipped (as someone else claimed) but only offers the basics, as stated by the hosts. 2. If you have a bad back, the sofas won’t be comfortable for you. 3. While the castle is easily accessible by public transport, if you’re bringing groceries for a long weekend, be sure to take a taxi from Montreux unless you want to schlepp everything uphill (or better plan to arrive at Chatelard instead of Tavel). That said, everything else is marvelous. I even extended my stay because it was so beautiful.

We stayed two nights with our adult children and friends. Plenty of room for all, enjoyed the pool and outdoors. Had lovely meals together in the large kitchen! Wonderful time.

We had a super nice time here as a family with 5 boys. Wonderfully spacious place and played hide-and-seek with pleasure. No luxury place/decor/amenities, but price-quality ratio was really fine. Wonderful surroundings against the forest. The house was above expectations nice and warm due to wood heating and fireplace. Also nice warm bath and shower. Friendly contact with manager and owner. Overall very satisfied!

My wife and I had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. It was truly an extraordinary venue. We felt steeped in its history and very lucky to be able to walk the halls of Château Autricourt. The building itself is of course centuries old, but has the comforts of modern life that one would need, whilst still feeling authentic to the buildings character. Every corner felt unique, and a delight to explore. Rooms were well furnished and themed to feel special and different from one another. The grounds of the Château were an unexpected treasure, with beautiful walks, access to a water pool which was a delight to paddle and splash around in. Patricia the host was so helpful in getting us situated into the property, and helped direct us to nearby attractions and amenities. She helped organise for us the delivery of fresh pastries every morning, finding us an amazing DJ for our wedding night reception, amongst other things. All in all, a magical place.

Fantastic experience and great value . Stunning castle in a beautiful location. Well appointed apartments. Attentive host. A few issues with ants, but it is a castle after all, and Celine was quick to help resolve the problem. Great place for kids.
