Lake house vacation rentals in Fontana Lake

This place was nothing that I expected it was beyond anything I could imagine from the beautiful modern home to the amazing view of the lake. There was much to do just at the Airbnb! The place has been well maintained. Michelle was quick to respond and very polite. Will definitely come back when it gets warm to really experience the lake!!

The cabin was very peaceful and beautiful sitting on Alarka Creek. The private dock was easily accessible with pontoon. We had a week long fishing trip/vacation and it was an amazing time with my family. I will say if your driving a truck pulling a boat it is accessible but it can be very tight. I have a crew cab long bed chevy pickup pulling a 21 poontoon. I got in and turned around and backed down the private boat ramp but it was extremely tight. It takes some very strategic maneuvering to do it. So yes it can be done with a truck and trailer that long. The water was down a little so the water was too shallow to lift the pontoon off the trailer so i had to go Alarka Creek boat ramp to put the boat in the water.

great stay right on the lake!! had everything we needed. kitchen equipped with enough to make our thanksgiving dinner. beds were comfy. she even asked if we wanted it decorated for Christmas.🎄 close to some beautiful hiking trails/falls. kids wanna go back for summer! raechel was always quick to reply and helpful with anything

We had a great few days at Suzy’s house. Although it rained the entire time, we enjoyed visiting with family. The screen porch was perfect and the furniture very comfortable. Having the bed and bathrooms on separate levels was a plus too. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of dishes. We hope to come back in the summer so we can enjoy the lake and dock. Cozy, comfortable home.

Beautiful cottage on lake. Very peaceful and close to town. The home was clean with all amenities you would need. We so enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the lovely surroundings. We look forward to booking in the future!

This vacation involved checking out the area for an upcoming wedding. For the house, we wanted lots of space in the house and easy parking, bathrooms for each family group, family space to hang out, easy walking, and of course access to the lake. All of these happened plus great porch space with the firepit and also the outdoor firepit. The stairs to the lake provided a work out and planning for the day. That is the only consideration for others to be aware of, is if they have a family member that has issues with stairs. The area is beautiful and exactly what we hoped for and this home with the easy contact for any issues or questions made it a great week!

Beautiful location with lake access right out the back door. Lovely kitchen and living area. We were there during a cold Thanksgiving weekend. The house was warm, no issues. Becky is very quick to reply and you will NOT be sorry that you reserved her place!

It was the perfect amount of space for my husband and I. The home is well appointed, cozy and comfortable (and very quiet!). I loved walking the hills in the neighborhood. Cashiers is our happy place, and we will absolutely rent this home again. Highly recommend!

We loved staying here! The house has everything one would need for a relaxing stay. My kids loved fishing from the dock, the legos, and puzzles- so much to do that screens were not even missed!

Stunning setting overlooking a beautiful lake; just minutes from town. Very private setting. Loved the history of the cabin- so authentic to the area.

I cannot tell you enough how much of a Dream this home is. 11/10!! I truly wish I had booked more days in time! I spent my anniversary here and it was everything I could have ever asked for. Getting there does require going through a gravel path that may be steep-ish to some smaller cars and you may struggle with gps/cellular connection getting closer to the location (as a 100% honest experience worth sharing to consider preparing ahead of time for). Your destination will be more than worth it once you manage! The hot tub, the fire pit, the rushing waters, the loft-style abode with high ceilings, in combo with home-cooked meals will make you feel like you have a slice of heaven on Earth. I’ll definitely be booking again, (hopefully for another anniversary) and you should too!! Thanks Matthew!

Beautiful, secluded location. Perfect ti get away from it all. Make sure you bring anything you need with you, the closest town is 25 min away. Great hiking nearby.

5 stars for everything!! For decades our family has spent time in NC mountains during the holidays. Needless to say, we have stayed in many different rentals through the years, but WOW!!! This incredible home surpassed all our expectations!! The house had everything you could possibly need and more. The views were breathtaking! A little scary getting up the path to the house, but worth the drive up. Beth, THANK YOU for being such a wonderful host!! Our family is already making plans to return in 2025!! A million dollar view, blessedly quiet nights, comfortable accommodations, and a kitchen with all of the equipment needed for an extended stay. The home is located in the "Top of the World" residential area below Maryville and looks out over the north-eastern edge of the SMNP. We enjoyed the low-key, non-touristy atmosphere of the surrounding area. This rental unit has a covered patio with an expansive 180-degree view and is situated beneath the owner's residence on the two floors above. Parking is nearby and up a short slope from the door. John is a very responsive host and provided helpful instructions preceding and during the visit, as well as a binder with detailed information about nearby hiking trails, scenic drives, restaurants and resources. No need to plan ahead! If you are a touring enthusiast, Highway 129's Tail of the Dragon is nearby with 11 miles of "hairpin" turns, definitely a highlight. Eagle's Nest is highly recommended!

The location is beautiful and peaceful. Located just off of a highway and you do hear some noise mainly when motorcycles going by, but other than that you don't think about it. We rented a boat so having the dock was the best feature, but includes a lily pad, kayaks, fire pit... Definitely would rebook.

Our Thanksgiving week at Jenna Sejo's home could not have been better. This was our 2nd stay in this home. The hosts were extremely responsive with any questions we had and very accommodating with any requests. This is a beautiful home and one can tell the love that has been put into making it special. The kitchen has everything you could ever need in preparing meals. (one exception, we could not find a potato peeler but I bet there is one there somewhere.) The bedrooms are beautifully appointed and the beds are beyond comfortable. It really is hard to describe how livable this home is and I say home as opposed to house because it truly feels like a home. We will definitely be returning to once again spend time here next summer. Thanks so much for making our Thanksgiving memorable. Mary Helen Simpson

Michael has an amazing home that was very family friendly and inviting. The lake views and house were even more impressive than the photos depicted in the rental posting. I will suggest to make sure your GPS is set to the address before heading up the mountain because cell service is intermittent. All and all the house has activities for days and my friends and family made memories that will last a lifetime

We loved Hillside Hideaway its was very clean and peaceful and close to Cades cove.We will definitely get this cabin again.Plus everything you need in a cabin to cook with is there .

David is the first host that was answering questions before they were asked. He had great recommendations and when we thought we had a little problem with the oven, he was willing to call someone on a Sunday to fix it but instead, he trouble the problem and my husband was able to get the oven working by simply unplugging and plugging it back in a few times due to a power surge. We were able to use the oven the rest of the stay and everything else was perfect. The kitchen is easy to cook in if you like to cook and they have everything you need to do So.

The home was beautiful and Randy was a super friendly host. We had an issue with the alarm and when I reached out for help he was quick to assist. He was very friendly and a great host. The home is tucked in the mountains with a beautiful view and peaceful area. Thank you so much for sharing your home with my family.
