Waterfront vacation rentals in Fife

We had a wonderful eleven-night stay at the flat. The rooms were beautifully furnished and very comfortable and reflected the 2022 update, especially in the bathroom and kitchen. The heating and lighting were quite good, with plenty of outlets for electronics. The mattresses, sheets, and towels were exceptional. The kitchen was well stocked, and basic cooking supplies were provided. The building was quiet and very sound-proof. We loved the view from the lounge and the fact that the flat was close to the Coastal Path, so that we could easily walk to visit our friends in the area. Kashif provided a comprehensive information binder and was a responsive host if we needed to contact him. Since we were staying for an extended period of time, Kashif provided an extra cleaning half-way through our stay, which we very much appreciated. Overall, our stay at the flat was consistently fine, the result of a thoughtfully managed property. We would look forward to staying there again.

This is our second stay at Walkers Neuk. Property is very comfortable and, importantly, is accurately described. Communication from Sam first class. I have no problem recommending.

Our family of 4 (plus Inca, our border terrier) stayed at The Puffin Burrow for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year. It was comfortable, clean and very well equipped. There was even a real Christmas tree in the main room which was a nice touch. The best thing about it was the location right opposite the beach which made it so easy to get out for walks with our dog. Once or twice I emailed Lucy to ask her something and she replied immediately which was very helpful. The flat itself is very tastefully decorated, there are games, maps, books, tv, everything you could need really. We'd definitely book this place again in the future.

A lovely few days were spent at Thistle Flat. Spotlessly clean, easy to find and in a superb location where the sea waves across the road provided the perfect soundtrack. The flat is fully equipped for a comfortable self-catered holiday. Friendly and informative hosts made the stay all the better, with Helen only a phone call away. An excellent choice and somewhere we'd certainly revisit.

Perfect spot to stay in St. Andrews! Gorgeous view and close to town. Very walkable to all pubs and shops. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and very spacious appartement with direct access to the beach. We very much enjoyed walking on the beach and exploring the charming region with highlights such as St. Andrews, Crail, St. Monans, Anstruther, Falkland, Dumfernline, which are all close by. Only 1 hour from Edinburgh Airport. Shona is a very attentive and kind host and she provided us impressively quickly with wood, torches, candles and power banks after a power cut in the town, thereby contributing to a romantic evening before the fireplace. We would definitely come back another time.

Fantastic stay at Angela's property this weekend. We were up in St Andrews golfing and it was a great base for the weekend. Only a few minutes walk into the main town centre and situated in a beautiful location at the harbour with stunning views out to sea. Nice to be in such a peaceful location but also be able to so quickly be in the main streets of the town. Angela's communication was friendly and she was very helpful with any questions we had. The property was comfortable and had everything we needed as a base for a great weekend. I'd definitely recommend and stay again in the future.

We enjoyed a relaxing few days at The Hide Away. Jennifer was great at keeping in touch. The house was immaculate and beautiful. Stunning location. 2 mins walk to the harbour, shops and the pub. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and more. Lots of recommendations of the area were in the book. Looking forward to our next visit. We absolutely loved staying at Helen's Old Post Office. We stayed in St Monan's for my 30th birthday and it was exactly what we were after. As we didn't have a car, we found it amazing to be able to walk to all the coastal villages via the Fife Coastal Path. We loved getting a feel for all the different little villages. Helen's cottage - it's so precious to find a place that has retained many of the little details that made the house's original charm. Warning to tall people: my partner who is rather tall did bump his head a couple of times due to the quirky original layout of the cottage, but totally worth it for the experience of sleeping in the very comfortable top room, with the window facing the harbour! The bed and mattress were also super comfortable and we slept incredibly well. We met Helen on our last day who very kindly offered to drive us to St Andrews to help us catch our bus back to Dundee. A very kind lady who clearly loves the place she rents out!

Cute little home with all the necessary amenities. We especially enjoyed the fireplace and appreciated that it was ready to be lit and had extra fire wood. Nice touch:)

We were visiting with family of 13 to celebrate my daughter’s 18th. We have a cockapoo so it was important that we had somewhere that welcomed dogs. There were even dog dishes and poo bags available. House was beautiful, exactly as described and really homely. The kitchen had everything you could imagine, also lots of cleaning essentials , dishwater tablets etc. The living space was exceptional. Cosy seating area as well as massive dining table that sat all of us. Patio doors opened out to decking and big garden, would imagine a brilliant space in the warmer months. All in all, top class accommodation, no hesitation in recommending it. 😊

We had a great stay over New Year. Loved the location which was perfect for our Hogmanay at The Ship Inn. Lots of space (and really appreciated having multiple showers). The real fire made it extra cosy at this time of year and the Xmas tree/decorations were the perfect finishing touch. Clearly a much loved house.

It was an excellent and calm stay, without any problem. The house corresponded to the indications and characteristics. It is a great location for exploring St. Andrews.

I have just returned from a 3 night stay in Anstruther over Hogmanay . we were a party of 2 couples and found the house to be a good size for us. As other viewers have said the bedrooms being on different floors affords a good degree of privacy. 2 of the bedrooms have lovely sea views. The living area is comfortable and cozy but might be a bit of a squeeze for 6 adults. the location is excellent for the fife coastal walk and there are plenty of good local pubs and restaurants within walking distance. I would recommend the tall ship with the only proviso that the many stairs would make it unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely long weekend in St Monans: the village is in a beautiful part of the world and the house is in the perfect spot overlooking the harbour. I think a place feels luxurious when the host is generous and James certainly doesn't stint on anything. Lots of towels, lots of crockery and cutlery and the house was warm and welcoming. James responded promptly to our messages. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfect. Feel really lucky to have found this place. Large and well appointed. Well equipped with beautiful touches. Plenty of parking but close enough to walk to the centre. Lovely views too. Suzy was very great at communication and told us everything we needed We have stayed in St Andrews several times but this was the best we’ve found Thank you Suzy for letting us stay here

We had a great stay in a lovely Scottish feeling flat. It’s not big but it was perfect for our two week visit. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. It’s close to shops and restaurants and pubs. We would stay there again if we go back.

This is a little gem, literally right on the beach front. The apartment has everything you will need to enjoy a stay in Anstruther, and service from the very professional hosts was second to none. You could throw a stone to the Wee Chippy and Eastern Touch restaurants they're also so close, and I'd highly recommend both. Would definitely stay again!

Will definitely be back. Very high standard apartment with quality fixtures, fittings and amenities rarely seen in rental/holiday homes. Everything worked and was spotless. The apartment had absolutely everything we needed. The location is great. Very walkable into town in less than 10 minutes with lots of restaurants, shops and bars. Carolyn was a fantastic host. Flexible and very responsive with communications.

We decided to get away for the weekend ..last minute booking. Decided on Culross after seeing it on BBC Villages by the Sea and of course Outlander. The apartment is a great base to explore the Village and surrounding countryside. Lots of walks available from the doorstep and if you’re lucky you will see beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It is tastefully decorated, (love the Outlander autographs) very homely and the heating system is spot on ..making it very warm and cosy while it was freezing 🥶 outside. Everything you need for a self catering holiday is provided. The Red Lion pub just along the road is great for a meal/drink and everyone is so friendly and a bonus it is also dog friendly too. Thank you to Jonathan for being friendly, responsive and for giving us detailed information for parking/getting into the apartment.

Victoria is an amazing host. She was very accommodating, communicated so well, gave us lots of guidance for the best transport routes etc. The coastal walks near the apartment were beautiful, we walked to the train station and got into Edinburgh with ease.

Lisa’s place was spotless and it is gorgeous, attention has been paid to every detail. Everything matched and was calming and neutral in decor. It was warm and cosy. The bed linen was crisp white and comfy. The towels were plentiful and new. Lots of little extras like cooking oil, tea, coffee, sugar, plenty cleaning materials, even shampoo and shower gel in bathroom. All fresh and new for guests. Nothing of the owners is left in the property. The main bedroom is huge, plenty hangers and shelving. Table in kitchen sits 6. Loads of glasses plates cutlery etc. It was super easy to find, right across from the beach, and a few minutes walk to the Main Street. No noise from neighbours, quiet street and we got parked for free outside. We loved it, only home today and my parents are looking to book for next month. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you Lisa.
