Family-friendly vacation rentals in Fernie

Diana was a great host. She was very friendly and responsive. We stayed at the condo during a heat wave. There wasn’t air conditioning, but there were fans throughout and a cool basement which made the heat bearable. Being in the mountains, it cooled down a lot at night. The place was very clean.

We had a lovely stay. Richard’s place is clean and comfortable and roomy. Walking distance to the slopes but ended up driving to the parking lot with the kids. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations! Jake

Great chalet for our group of 8, easy access to and from the mountain

Nice big space so lots of room for a larger group. Well appointed kitchen, large dining room table for games/eating. Hot tub nice for apres ski!

The unit was perfect for our ski weekend. A few items to note: as other reviews had mentioned it’s a bit of a walk to the ski hill. Very doable for adults, but after one day with the kiddo we decided to drive to the drop off the remaining days. The unit is in a great location for hottub/bbq/parking lot access (easy to move gear in!) but be aware that the second bedroom’s window is next to the hottub and you can hear noise from it. While we were there other guests respected the 10pm rule however. Had an odd encounter with the owner of the unit needing something out of his locked closet but I spoke with host Stephanie who was incredibly responsive and helpful and it was resolved. We would come back to this unit again.

Great location for skiing. Arrival was very easy, but offers limited on site parking. Place was cleaned well.

Very well appointed unit, with all of the extras that we cold need (ie: cooking utensils, lots of plates, silverware, etc). Very comfortable beds. The only "complaint" was that the WiFi was very very slow, but we were on vacation, and I had lots of data on my phone, so it wasn't an issue.

We loved our stay in Fernie! The huckleberry lodge was exactly as advertised and what we needed for our annual ski trip. Lots of spaces for sleeping and storing gear, a hot tub for recovery and easily walkable to everything in town. Recommended!

Excellent booking in Fernie. Place was perfect for the group of four we had in town for a fly fishing trip. The house is right next to the river and an easy walk into town for restaurants and groceries. The place was super clean with a great kitchen, common area, and nice patio. Will definitely book again. 100% satisfied!

Don't hesitate to book Donna's cottage. Everything you need is provided, it's warm and cozy. The lake and views are to die for. Donna was a great host, responsive and really cared that you had what you needed to have a great stay!

Two night stay in a beautiful setting; enjoyed the amenities, especially pool with slide, hot tub, and sauna. Perfect for families with children.

Great place in a perfect location. I was in Fernie on a business trip and this place had all I needed.

Great place to stay. Facing the ski mountain and easy to hop on Elk Chair lift and take the Ell ski run to the back side of the building. The fireplace was great and the building was so quiet. They also had fans to turn on while sleeping for white noise and the bed was comfy. Other reviews are right it’s a little dated but super clean and cozy. It would go a long way to make small upgrades so the shower head was better and the shower curtain didn’t float up. Overall, an excellent stay and I plan to stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was very comfortable and for the most part well stocked as far as kitchen and bathroom go. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool and steam room. We found Silver Rock to be well maintained and very quiet. People were very friendly. When we needed assistance the Silver Rock people were helpful and they got back to us relatively quickly. We stayed for a month so in that time period we had very few issues and would definitely consider staying again.

The Silver Rock is a great place to stay for a trip to Fernie. The hot tub, pool and sauna are great ways to relax after a trip the ski hill, which is just 5-10 minutes away. It’s close to all restaurants. The kitchen is stocked with basics to do your own cooking, nothing fancy but you get by. The email spam to buy trip insurance beforehand is annoying, but can be ignored. All in all, you can’t go wrong here, you’ll have an enjoyable trip to Fernie.
