House vacation rentals in Edinburgh Old Town

We loved our stay! Everything was clean and the bedroom were very nice with comfortable beds. The house had a very cozzy feeling to it. We didn’t had the right plugs for the phone charger and they were nice enough to borrow us 4. On the day of our check out we needed ice to put in the insulin container of my mom and they went above and beyond to get some ice for us, really thankful for that! Overall I would really recommend this place. Location was great too, close by to the beach and restaurants and just 1 hour away from Edinburgh

we stayed with Margaret for four days in August with family. We used the house as a base . I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Water Tower for 3 nights. It is beautifully restored with so much attention to detail. In arriving we explored it in total awe. It is very comfortable and each bedroom has an ensuite toilet and hand basin. The bathroom is totally wonderful - especially having a bath. The sitting room at the top has a sensational view and is very comfortably furnished. As previous reviews have mentioned the Water Tower is well equipped and we were made very welcome by Susan and Gerry and greeted with homemade muffins and our choice of breakfast ingredients. The Water Tower is really well located, with Morrisons, a wonderful Indian Restaurant called Itihaas for dinner and an incredibly convenient bus service to Edinburgh (£2 per ride - use your card on your phone to pay) - all just around the corner. The Water Tower is an incredibly special place and we would stay again if/when we come back to Edinburgh. Thank you very much Susan and Gerry for hosting us.

I have stayed in many Airb&b’s and this has been by far the best one yet. Small and cozy but has everything you need and then some. Parking garage makes it perfect for you to drive to this location and ensures your vehicle will remain safe. The host was very friendly and communicative. Centrally located for you to walk and explore. And over all the AirB&B was very private and peaceful. Would definitely come back to this city and stay in this location once again. 10/10

Denise's house felt like such a fantastic little find, a perfect location just outside the city centre and a short walk into Leith! Plenty of things to see and do around (thank you for the list of recommendations too!) The place itself is beautifully decorated, had everything we needed inside (fully equipped kitchen, towels provided, heating on!) Felt very at home instantly, and the hosts were very active messaging if any problems had come up!

We had a fantastic 4-days stay at Craig’s Cottage in Edinburgh. The place was incredibly cosy and perfect for our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids, aged 13 and 6). The cottage was spotless, well-maintained, and felt like a home away from home. We especially loved the fully-equipped kitchen and the charming fireplace, which made our evenings extra special. Parking was a breeze with the private driveway, and commuting to the city centre was super convenient. We used Bolt and the nearby bus services, both of which were quick and hassle-free. Craig was a great host—responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh and would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 4 (two teens) had a very nice stay over New Years. A bit of a trick to find the first time but the location also meant a quiet stay. Didn’t notice any noise from the bar across the street other than on New Year Eve which is to be expected. Very clean. Large rooms. Small issue with the boiler which was promptly corrected. Overall I would recommend to any looking for a larger place to stretch out with a 5-10pm walk to Queen/Prince streets and the Royal Mile.

We had a delightful stay in this lovely independent home! It was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. Our host, Mike, was always quick to respond to any questions we had and went above and beyond to ensure our time in Edinburgh was truly unforgettable! Highly recommend!

It is a gem of a place that is particularly well-suited for family accommodation provided not bigger than four or five people. The environment is quiet and the property has a distinct green feel to it. The distance to the city centre means that one has the advantage of seeing and experiencing some of the greenery and beauty of Edinburgh.

We had an amazing time at Anne’s property. Anne communicated effectively with us from the moment we booked and was always to hand answer during our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Anne; she was a wonderful host. The property was comfortable and extremely clean. Anne made sure that there was garden toys for the children to play with and appropriate books and toys in the house for them too. We will certainly be booking again. This is a beautiful home from home! Very comfortable and has everything you need for a break away. There's a Sainsbury's just round the corner, the Royal Mile and Arthur's Seat are also a short walk away. When we are back in Edinburgh we will absolutely check the availability here! A beautiful house and spacious. Clean (as a HK mom with a young girl, I am satisfied with the cleansing level) and facilitated. Only one point: one of the faucet was broken.

Really clean and cozy little house . Located in a good neighbourhood, a little far from the centre but the bus stop is 2 minutes away down the street . It’s pretty noisy because the place is right om the street , but other than that was great .
