Family-friendly vacation rentals in Downtown, Asheville

Our stay was enjoyable, especially with the close proximity to waterfall hiking trails and excellent local cuisine. The backyard was perfect for our dog, and we appreciated the cozy living room and blackout curtains, which made relaxing easy after long days outdoors.

We loved staying at Melissa's house. It was near our kids and very thoughtfully furnished. The location at the end of a dead end street is quiet and peaceful. Melissa was helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay for a getaway. Love the extra amenities downstairs. Everything was just as described. Lots of room available for large families, pool table and jacuzzi were perfect extras. Brett was a great host and easy to communicate with. Enjoyed staying at Brett’s place.. highly recommend.

couldn't have asked for a better location. Walking distance to lots and lots of restaurants and breweries. Joe's instructions were clear and the home was clean and very comfortable. thank you so much for the wonderful accommodations!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was cozy and clean. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub or fire pit because it poured rain during our stay, but the fireplace on the covered porch more than made up for it. The game selection was great too! We had such a great time and look forward to another stay.

The bungalow is located on a mountain slope with beautiful mountain views. It's very private and relaxing. It has two large verandahs, with a hot tub on the top one, so you can enjoy the views even on a cold day. Inside, the kitchen is spacious and very well equipped, the bedroom has places for you to put your clothing away, and the bed and linens were very comfortable. The inside gets a lot of sunlight, particularly the living room, making it even more cozy. The living room has a TV and gas fireplace. Downstairs you can find the washing and drying machines and a ping pong table. I totally recommend the bungalow for a relaxing vacation. We stayed at the cabin about two months after hurricane Helene passed through the area. While there was a lot of devastation, particularly close to rivers, the area around the cabin has already been cleaned up of any debris. We were still able to find some good hiking around Asheville, and trails seems to be reopening, just check and plan ahead of time.

If you’re in Asheville, I highly recommend this house. It was beautiful, comfortable, peaceful and located in a great area. Beds were comfy, chefs kitchen and the living room was out of a magazine. The backyard is amazing, large, lots of areas to sit and chill. Loved listening to the stone water fountain. Also, a nice outdoor fire pit. And separated by a fence and out of sight, chickens and rabbits! Opening the fridge to find a loaf of blueberry bread and fresh yard eggs was nice and welcoming. One of my favorite Airbnb stays.

Our family really enjoyed staying at Smithson’s cottage. The fenced-in yard was awesome for the kids and our dog, and the cottage itself was really nice. We had a great time!

Needed a quiet retreat getaway and this was the perfect spot. Cozy and eclectica/artsy space. Kambra also provided nice extras like a bottle of sparkling wine (New Year's stay), local company pretzels and chocolates.

This place is a little gem!! So clean and comfortable. When we walked in, we immediately felt right at home. The kitchen is nicely stocked with what you might need to make your own meals. The washer and dryer are there if you need and well stocked with detergent. Everything we needed in the bathroom as well. The beds were beyond comfortable. For me, what stood out the most was the nostalgic vibe throughout. It has a comforting "vintage" vibe with a modern twist. The teenagers LOVED the vinyl collection as it had a wide genre appeal. We look forward to coming back soon!

michah was so friendly and a great guy , thoroughly enjoyed staying at his place with a couple buddies in town for a concert. 10/10 will be back to stay again

The house was perfect for our quick weeeknd trip and charming as pictured. April sent us clear instructions on exactly how to get to the entrance and where to park. Perfect location and plenty of options to enjoy the area. We will be sure to look for availability here for our next trip to Asheville!

Great place for a getaway close to downtown but in a quite neighborhood

We loved our stay here! The house was excellent and the hosts were great. We were notified as soon as the house was ready and were able to check in early. The house had everything we needed and the location was great. Nothing weird about being in the RV park, you just have to drive through to get to the house. Super close to anything we needed and we could take an uber to get anywhere in town. Would 100% stay here again!

I cannot recommend this property enough! From the moment I stepped inside, I was blown away by how clean and spacious the home was. It was impeccably maintained, with every detail thoughtfully cared for. The layout was perfect for relaxing or entertaining, and it felt like a true home away from home. The cleanliness stood out the most—everything was spotless and fresh, which made the stay so much more enjoyable. The hosts clearly take pride in maintaining their property to the highest standard. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-maintained, and spacious place to stay, look no further. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

This is just an AWESOME place for a person and their dog! Incredible backyard. And Josh is a fantastic host. So kind. Great location!

I don’t think I can say anything better about Shane!! But what I’m gonna tell you is if you have small children, the two bedrooms face the road the house across the street has about 15 dogs. They bark all night long. They have traffic in and out all night long. Shane was very apologetic about it and a great person. The house feels like you’re going to stay at your parents home or grandparents very comfortable very clean. Hot tub was great. We didn’t get a choice to use the pool because it’s winter Shane is the most kind person I’ve ever dealt with when staying away from homeso don’t judge him by the house across the street. He has no control over that. I will definitely rent in the near future even just for a weekend visit just to use the pool.

Great house if you don’t want to contend with winding mountain roads and don’t mind being 20 minutes from downtown. Perfect location for a relaxing weekend. Pool and hot tub were enjoyed greatly, and expansive back yard gives great feeling of privacy. Rooms were all spacious enough for 8 adults to be comfortable. Would definitely book again for a mountain getaway!
