Wood was an amazing host. The place was very open and it was nice to have 3 bedrooms for space just incase the family we were visiting wanted to come see us for it snowed pretty bad once we got up there but the snow was a beautiful touch. The backyard was beautiful with the wood trees. We didn't have neighbors which was SO nice and peaceful to just have private space and quietness. The fire place was a nice touch. Just make sure the flue is open. Someone before us used the fireplace so we assumed they kept it open when we got there which they didn't and had an issue with that for a good portion of the first night there but Wood was so easy to get ahold of and was very easy going to communicate with. The hot tub was so easy to use and so warm and big! It kept me entertained for most of my Saturday. Will definitely go back there for the summer time!

Very cute, updated and easy to get to. Although you are near other cabins, Jason and Jamie have made it as private as possible. They were also extremely proactive with communication and responsive. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Coves signage could use better lighting. Other than that, cabin was very clean and homey but with modern amenities. Appreciate the Christmas decorations too. Will have to stay during the summer sometime.

Our stay at Jason’s cabin was a 4/5 experience. While the cabin had potential, several issues impacted our visit. The biggest problem was the misleading description: we assumed each cabin was private based on the photos, but the fine print revealed it’s actually a shared community space. We spoke with other guests, and they had the same confusion. One cabin was told the sauna was private, while others were given shared-use instructions, which felt inconsistent. The hot tub area had a red ant infestation, and I ended up with several bites. Additionally, the property has multiple hosts, leading to unclear communication. One of the other occupants even shared pictures showing how unclean their cabin was, which raised concerns about cleanliness across the property. In our cabin, the floor was coming apart, which was disappointing. Knowing all this now, I’d consider staying again if I were more inclined to being social and sharing space with others. However it wasn’t quite what I expected

We had an amazing time at this beautiful home! Will definitely be back. The hosts have thought of everything when it comes to what you may need. Beautifully decorated and well equipped. The wildlife is amazing, could see the Deer and the turkeys so close. Highly recommend this gorgeous place!

The place itself was nice and updated providing us with everything we needed. We loved that it was so close to everything. And it was a bonus to have the pickleball court, firepit, and hot tub.

A beautiful serene Autumn stay with calming campfire nights. Plenty of friendly wineries, restaurants, beaches and hikes. Hope to visit again in the future. Thank you Ali!

The cabin is nestled on a little slice of heaven in a private, forest setting. A ‘deer-family’ visited us frequently. Ample amenities. We didn’t realize that the ‘unattached-second bedroom/sitting room’ was ours to use until later in the trip because we didn’t realize what the unmarked ‘extra key’ opened. The cabin is small, but for two adults and a dog, it was quaint, cozy, clean, and adequate. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinners everyday. The dog and the evening storms kept us in at night. The roads were easy to navigate and we spent a lot of time playing in South Haven, Saugatuck, and Fennville. The lakeshore overlook was a bit scary with a dramatic and steep drop-off so if you had young children or a rambunctious dog (oh wait?! That was ME!), be forewarned. Otherwise, the view was outstanding. We really enjoyed our time and hopefully someday our paths will cross again.

Staying at the kal-haven outpost cabins was everything I hoped it would be! We came up for my birthday weekend and it was wonderful; everything from the peacefulness of the campsite, to the delicious, free coffee and chats in the morning, to the bikeable trail right next to the campsite into town (we rented bikes from the outpost), dog friendly-cabins/campsite, to helpful staff (thanks Heather and Robert!), clean communal bathrooms and showers, and flexibility with check-in and check-out, I couldn't have asked for a better long weekend. Thanks so much; we'll be back!

We loved this cabin! Very quiet & peaceful. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but we were still close to several cute towns. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. We would absolutely stay here again!

My husband and I LOVED this place, we had the opportunity to stay at both Jim’s airbnb places so we had a hard time deciding which one is better, all I can say is they are the best getaway destination. I felt like I was at home all the time, we are definitely coming back with the whole family. I would recommend it specially if you have kids because of all the amenities they have. It was just amazing spending some quality time away from the city. And Jim couldn’t have been a better host, he responded to all my questions and help me with everything I needed. In one word: WONDERFUL.

We've been coming here for over 17 years. Great little cottage, picturesque setting with solid fishing. On this most recent trip, The Wailers (formed by Bob Marley) were playing at Warner Vineyards and we could hear that sweet reggae music while we BBQ'd and chilled by the campfire.

Had an awesome stay at Grant Cottage! It is as cute as the photos depict and spacious enough for our small family. The cottage, including the kitchen and bathroom, has the amenities you need. AC keeps the place cool and shower has good water pressure. Mandy proactively informed us that early check in was possible, which we hadn’t requested (bc we understand this should not be expected) but were so grateful for. When I messaged with a simple question, I received an almost immediate response. Check in and check out instructions were clear and made everything smooth. Location is close to town though town is small :) 20-25 minutes to South Haven or St. Joseph where there’s more to do. When you book you also get access to a barn/community area which is nice if you want to socialize with the guests in the other cottage or just be in a different space. Mandy left some cute 4th of July favors which was a nice touch. Lots of fireworks due to holiday but otherwise very quiet. We loved it here!

Doug was a fantastic host and the ice house was a fabulous place to stay. Very nice lake and having boats accessible was the cherry on top - fishing on the lake was great fun and having south haven close by is a plus. We stopped at the local farm stands and had delicious local produce. We will return to this great getaway

Mark was a great host and was super helpful in making out trip so enjoyable. The cabin was so beautiful and had everything one would need. We recommend this property and host to anyone considering this staying in the area.

BEAUTIFUL Location, space, and felt right at home. So peaceful and was able to settle in so fast. Roasted marshmallows on the fire pit and was so comfy and clean. Fields was so accommodating and replies super fast. Just wish check out time was later

This was the perfect amount of space for 3 people. Everything was quaint and cozy. It was secluded enough while also feeling very safe.

absolutely lovely secluded little off-grid cabin beautiful place for somebody that likes to camp but wants a little bit more than a tent

We had an absolutely amazing and relaxing time! I'd recommend slippers, as the floor was a bit rough and easy to get slivers, and makes the walk to the BR nice. Couch was very uncomfy (dumps you forward), but we made do! Wish you could see the TV from the bed. Super peaceful. Fish pond was fun! Fish food in BR. Not very buggy outside. Mattress was VERY comfortable. Fridge was spacious enough. Coffee was good. Location is awesome, less that 15 mins from over 5 amazing beaches and lots of great restaurants and stores! Darrin was so helpful and friendly, going as far as adding birthday decor for mom! We definitely will visit again!

We stayed at The Plant House, which is in the middle of everything on the property, but private enough. We enjoyed the beautiful private lake on the property and the wooded area to walk around. We swam there with our daughter several times, and paddled around, and the property itself has a lot of things to do like basketball, volleyball, and tennis. The horses are friendly if you bring them an apple. It's only 25 minutes away from most things so we took adventures to see local shops, get ice cream, and visit Lake Michgan.
