Springfield Barn

AbiRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This barn is very deceiving, it look tiny on the outside and so big on the inside. Absolutely lovely little place, with a real old cottage feel to it. The place was in pristine condition and had everything we needed there and more. The Barn is very private with nothing but beautiful fields around which was perfect for our getaway. Jay our host was great in checking in with us through messaging to see if we checked in ok etc and very responsive to my messages. Overall all we are very happy and would definitely stay again. Thank you Jay for having us 😊

Lakeview Lodge - Shortheath Water

HannahRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Lovely lodge, even more spacious than the photos show! Very clean and plenty of amenities for cooking etc. The lake was peacful and very centrally located for things to do in the area such as bike rides, Conkers, furnace museum etc. A good Coop a few mins walk away and bigger supermarkets a short drive. The bistro on site, run by Joanne did the most amazing brunches and HUGE slabs of homemade cake. I wish we had discovered this before our last day! Highly recommend a meal by the lake side. They do beer and wine too but its only open until 4pm so make the most of it during your stay!

Down The Rabbit Hole.

Louise-MarieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Highly recommend staying Down the Rabbit Hole for a cosy and relaxing retreat. The place is full of quirks, very warm, even though it was cold outside the stove burner provides ample heat. Really helpful host to answer any questions you might have. Give it a go!!

Delightful 1 bedroom annexe with own patio

CraigRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The Annex was lovely, cosy, comfortable and very clean with everything we needed for a short break. The well stocked welcome hamper was also a thoughtful touch. The Annex is in a lovely quiet location in a peaceful village with a good pub and shop within easy walking distance. The location is a good base to explore the area from. The 'how to find us' and check in instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend.

Cottage in central Matlock

CharlotteRating, 5 starstoday
We had a fantastic stay at the Watchmakers - it is a hidden gem that’s just off Matlock high street, but is so quiet and peaceful. Mandy had provided everything we could need, from milk for a cup of tea to shampoo and conditioner. We can highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Peak District Hideout, Stunning Eco Cabin

LucyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Charlottes Peak District hideaway is the perfect off grid escape for a peaceful few days away! The pictures don’t do it justice. Our dog loved it too! Charlotte was super responsive and gave great local recommendations. We ordered a hamper which was there for our arrival and a lovely touch! We also went to the Ashford Arms pub which Charlotte recommended and now I do too! Would absolutely come back

Woodlands Shepherd Hut offGrid & Woodfired hot tub

ChelseaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Stayed for 2 nights with my partner. It was lovely and quiet and plenty of room for both our cars. We especially loved the dressing gowns and more little amenities provided to make our stay even more cosy. The hot tub is incredible just takes a little while to warm up but we loved being in there for ours staring at the stars. Only thing I would say is it gets quite cold in the mornings cause the fire has gone out but that’s not a fault it’s just that you may have to keep an eye on the fire through the night. Thank you

Booth Farm Hut

ClaireRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Absolutely beautiful stay, hidden hut which felt private and perfect for an off grid break. Just enough space for us as a couple and a dog. Cosy, warm with everything you need. Lots of walks around but we travelled to some of the hikes around dovedale. 100% recommended. Hosts were so helpful with questions, thoughful leaving the heating on ready for check in and friendly but left us to ourselves :) Thank you x

Bertie's Retreat, Shepherds Hut

DaniellaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We only stayed at Berties retreat for one night but it was just what we were hoping for. Super cute hut with everything we needed, the location was very private with a nice woodland view. Penny was a brilliant host, she was there within minutes when we needed help. The local pub was perfect for an evening meal and within walking distance of the place. Would definitely stay here again when out hiking in the Peak district.

Shepherds Hut on our farm, close to Alton Towers

GRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely time staying at the Shepherd’s Hut, everything was as the pictures and tidy and clean. The wood burner was lovely and warm on the cold evenings… we brought a spare blanket in case and didn’t need it! The hot tub was really relaxing and it was nice to meet some animals on the farm, the cats also came to say hi. Very responsive hosts, would stay again x

“The Goods Van at Stoop Farm”

NikRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Stand out property! We were blown away right from the start. Richard is a fantastic host, friendly, responsive and helpful. The property is very high spec with all the comforts you need. It was -1°C while we were there but the cabin was always toasty warm, perfect for reading on the sofa. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bathroom had everything we needed and was a short walk from the cabin. Very dog friendly (although you have to keep dogs on a lead while going on walks). There are incredible walks directly from the cabin with breath taking views. The most impressive thing for us is how quiet it is. We found a couple of nice pubs close by although I wouldn’t say the area is particularly foodie. One warning is the potholes on all the roads in the area. 100% recommend this for everyone!!!!
