We had a great time at this air bnb. We could really tell that there was a lot of thoughtfulness that went into the place, in the furnishings, amenities, and - something people often overlook - safety! There was a sign from the city stating that it was a legal suite and there were flashlights by the light switches in case of an emergency. I also really appreciated that it was pet friendly and very clean. Thanks!

Really enjoyed my stay at Rachel's place. I was at Nanaimo for a 2 week placement at the local hospital. Rachel's home is a quick 5 minute walk away. Her home is extremely clean with all the cooking supplies I needed. The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful. Rachel and Patrick are very quick and responsive. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Nanaimo and would stay here again myself if the opportunity ever arises.

Fantastic location - can not be beat! Well appointed with an excellent set up for families traveling with children. Also, the beds are new and comfortable. Thank you for the great stay - hopefully we will be back next season!

We had a fantastic stay at Angela’s place! We booked for two nights with our two kids, primarily for the convenience of skiing at Mount Washington and it was the perfect spot for our needs. The space, while petite, was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The hot standup shower was a treat after a long day on the slopes, and the helpful notes around the unit made it easy to navigate everything. We also really enjoyed the Nespresso machine - such a nice touch for starting our mornings! Though we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the river or outdoor surroundings this time, we’d love to come back and explore more. The access to laundry was a huge plus and Angela’s communication was excellent throughout our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient getaway!

Kelcy and her family were wonderful hosts. She was very responsive to any requests and was very accommodating. She does have young children but the sound proofing kept to noise levels low and manageable. Would highly recommend staying at Kelcy’s place in the future if one is visiting CR.

The place is perfect for skiing and the self-clean was a huge upside to save on costs. Hosts were excellent at communicating with us. It was a little far to bring bags and skis into the village- be prepared for lots of lugging if the village shuttle is down (which it was for us). The ski in/ out is close and great for skis, terrible on a snowboard

We had a great stay! It was exactly as described and our family of 6 felt right at home. Loved the games and books available. We had everything we needed. Driveway was tricky but as described by hosts so we were expecting it. Would absolutely stay again. Thanks!

This was a lovely, spacious, very clean, and bright place. Easy access to internet and a lovely tv for my use. Terry was a fabulous host - easy to talk to; very helpful; but otherwise left me to myself. There was much information available in the suite regarding issues within the suite (i.e. how to access items on the tv), plus information about facilities/amenities/restaurants/etc. available in Courtenay/Comox. I can hardly wait to stay there again.

Christine's cabin was beautiful, and the place was well laid out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated Christine's proactive messages regarding early check-in and late check-out. The instructions were clear, and the checkout process was simple. We would highly recommend it.

Our stay at Kelli and Pat has been fantastic. The place is amazing, the jacuzzi works well and the communication has been very good with them. They are very nice and welcoming. The goats and nature are definitively a huge plus that make our stay for our kids a dream. We truly recommend their place if you are looking for a beautiful cozy nature home with great level of comfort !! Laure

Lovely home, well appointed, excellent kitchen with everything we needed for preparing meals. The location is a 5 minute drive from beautiful Rathtrevor Beach. The tub is very deep so anyone with mobility problems may find it challenging.

What a gem! Monica's place was outstanding. Short walk to the beach and the common pool and hot tub were exactly as described and perfect for our family. The kitchen was stocked above and beyond with anything you might need for cooking, which we loved. This is often not the case in many AirBnB's so we were very happy about this. This place was quiet and cozy and we loved the community feeling of the resort. Monica was great with communicating quickly. We will definitely return.

From the moment I walked in I already couldn’t wait to come back. The view was beautiful, and the space was spacious yet cozy. Being October it was a bit cooler in Qualicum, but with the electric fireplace and baseboard heaters I didn’t feel it inside! The kitchen had so many little touches that felt thoughtful, from drinks in the fridge, spices in the cupboard, and all the utensils and pans to cook a meal in. Barry was proactive with messaging and very responsive when I had a question ahead of my stay. A perfect weekend getaway!

Our party included 4 adults and two children. We stayed in the house for four nights. This is something which we do every summer, staying in different houses near Rathtrevor Provincial Park. We were happy with our rental this year (2024). We liked the fact that this complex includes a swimming pool. We also spent a lot of time at the beach. (We used the beach folding chairs which are available in the unit.) We also walked in the adjacent Rathtrevor Provincial Park. We also drove to some stores in town. The kitchen is well equipped. We used the BBQ for three of the dinners. It was useful that one of the bedrooms includes a desk. Sandy communicated with us (via the AirBnB app) several times. We had a great vacation. I should also mention that after we checked out we discovered that my granddaughter left a certain item behind. Sandy assured me that it will be mailed to us. Thank you!

The Strand out of Pacific Shores Resort was perfect for my little family. The space is very modern & cozy. We utilized all the amenities such as the indoor & outdoor hot tubs, sauna, outdoor children’s heated pool in the winter, indoor swimming pool, spa and restaurant. Jenn & Nikki were amazing hosts super friendly & responsive. We felt so at home in their space. I was pregnant through our stay and enjoyed taking baths in the soaker tub with the fire place on. We took walks each day along the ocean and up into the estuary. One day we walked right to Rathtrevor Beach & stopped for lunch at Tigh-Nah-Mara Resort. I plan to return with my family in the future hopefully for years to come. This place holds its own magic and is great for island folks looking for a staycation. Our little one enjoyed the beach and playground. We enjoyed being close to Nanaimo, but far enough away you can take in the stars at night and listen to the ocean without the sounds of the city.

Our stay was amazing, awesome location, easily located. One concern that should be addressed. How far open the windows open up in the bedrooms are a fall hazard, these windows need limiters, they shall not open more than 100mm. Mentioning this because I nearly fell out of room B slider window when I woke up. I staggered when I stood up and nearly went out the open window of the 4th floor. Aside from that our stay was lovely!

What an awesome spot! Great location, the mountain views are incredible, lots of parking. Traveled with my husband and our two dogs. It means so much to have pet friendly places to stay. The dogs had a great time (the humans too). Easy check-in, great communication with Jason, kitchen is well stocked, place was clean - actually ran into the cleaner as we checked in who was super friendly as well. Thank you so much, Jason! We hope to stay again in the future!

This unit was perfect for our needs. Love the code box rather than a key for entry and exit. The kitchen was well appointed with great selection of cooking utensils, pots and pans.
