Family-friendly vacation rentals in Daratsos

We stayed at Georgia's mansion during our honeymoon at the end of September. The place was large for two people, but we felt like royalty with all of the space :) The mansion is beautifully redone on the inside - it has modern amenities with a traditional aesthetic. The place had absolutely everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and outside. The pool was wonderful! We spent our afternoons lounging after hot days in Chania and the surrounding areas, which offer lots of restaurants, attractions, and great shopping! The area was great as well - easy to get to, quiet, and with easy access to the main road that can take you east or west in no time :) We highly recommend a stay at this beautifully restored mansion, and we hope to be back ourselves someday!

It was super nice here. We were warmly welcomed and communication went smoothly. The place is as pictured. You're a bit up the mountain, which is super nice because it's much quieter there. The city and the beach are within walking distance. We were very satisfied.

We had a wonderful stay at Katerina’s place! It was nice to be a little bit outside of Chania. She was very welcoming and had prepared a local vegetable dish for us along with some rusk. She made check-in and check-out easy and the place was exactly as pictured. Hot tub was excellent for the colder March nights. Would stay here again!

Charilaos was an amazing host! He greeted us at the villa and had left us a great stock of food and drinks, which was great for our large group! His house was done really really well, and perfectly suited us with our two babies. It would be great spot for any larger group with the number of bedrooms. The views were also fantastic! We ended up spending an evening by the pool talking and watching the sea. The whole place is beautiful and perfectly accommodating along with one of the best hosts you could ask for.

This Airbnb was a great spot for our stay in Chania! We had around a 15-20 minute walk to the Old Port, which had a wonderful selection of restaurants. (We highly recommend the Sailing Club.) There was also a good coffee shop around a 5-minute walk towards Old Port and a grocery store 5 minutes away (opposite direction of Old Port but still very close by). The hot tub was amazing as the weather was a bit chilly some days of our stay. The inside was just like the pictures, and our host replied very quickly to help resolve any problems we had. We walked to a beach that was 45 minutes from the Airbnb, but it was a nice area with beach chairs and tasty restaurants. We would warn younger guests to travel here during the earlier seasons as you will be cat-called a lot. Overall, our stay was fantastic!

The place is beautiful and cozy just like the pictures! Just be aware that the stairs to acces the apartment and the second floor are narrow and steep. Manos’ recomendations of restaurants were very good.

We had a lovely stay. Everything worked well and location was really nice. There are nice beaches nearby and restaurants and grocery stores are also close. The area is quiet and nice. The balcony is really nice and has a great view. It is larger than the pictures indicate, and we spend both morning and evening sitting there and enjoying the view. Katerina was really flexible and friendly when we arrived. The place was easy to find. We had rented a car, and the parking worked nicely.

We spent a month with our 1-year-old daughter at Dimitri's house. The house is walking distance from the sea and a great little bay. The bay is perfect for children. The mini-market and restaurants are also within walking distance. The house was clean and tidy. We lacked nothing. In the evening in bed you could always hear the sea rushing. The garden, like the house, was in impeccable condition. Our daughter particularly enjoyed spending time on the swing here. Dimitris was always easily accessible and immediately on site if there was an issue. We enjoyed our time at Dimitris' and would love to come back.

Beautiful apartment, well equipped, close to Chania by car. Easy street parking which is very quiet. The apartment is very spacious, it can be suitable for 2 families. Our host's welcome is perfect. The stay around Chania is very pleasant. Recommended!

Giannis place is just perfect for a family wishing to stay right in the centre of old town Chania. The location just can’t be beat and the house is just fantastic and very well accommodated with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for a family with kids. I highly recommend Yiannis place.

It feels like home as soon as we arrived at Grigoris's place. We were welcomed by Christina (Grigoris mom, hope we got the name right). Christina was super friendly and helpful through our stay. She brought to us some home cooked Greek pastries and biscuits next day and we loved them. The house looks and feels better than the photos. Beautiful sea view in a quiet area. We felt so relaxpastIt has everything you need to enjoy your stay there. Great place for a family. Highly recommend and we will definitely come back. Lots of lovely memory. Clean space and very well located, just 5 minutes from the beach. Perfect location to go to the most beautiful beaches of Chania. George is helpful, hospitable and willing to help with anything you need.

We spent several days in Villa Nikki and had a wonderful time. The house, the view, the Pool - everything was just amazing. Communication with Giannis and his team was also perfect. If our vacation wouldn't have ended we probably just would have stayed there for ever :)

Michalis is such a kind and helpful host. The house is close to amazing restaurants and stores but on a quiet side street. It was incredibly clean and cozy with a nice firm bed, good kitchen for cooking and warm shower. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wow! Where to begin with this review - this was probably the best Airbnb experience we have ever had overall, and we have stayed in a lot of airbnbs! Manos and Klelia made sure we had a fantastic experience in Chania , they are so friendly and very helpful with any questions we had, super responsive and they really went above and beyond; to the extent that when we arrived they gave us a home baked banana bread loaf and fresh home baked pastries from their shop!! As for the apartment, we stayed for one month and it was a home away from home. It is in a great location, 10 minute walk from a lovely beach and great restaurants. The apartment had everything we needed and even had a little home gym outside which we used daily, it has a sheltered parking spot and a little private patio. 100/10!! Thank you Manos and Klelia for an unforgettable trip.

We had an amazing two-week stay at Kostas and Aristea’s beautiful traditional house in October. I was there with my sister, niece, and boyfriend, and we all loved it! The house is tastefully decorated with charming traditional elements like old photos and antique tools, making it unique and cozy. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the beds are super comfortable. The peaceful setting, surrounded by olive groves, with a magical garden, was perfect for relaxing. Kostas and Aristea are such caring hosts, offering homemade wine, fresh apples, and kumquat jam. We can’t wait to come back!

There were three of us in the apartment, including a 3-year-old child. The place was as described and the hosts make every effort to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Communication in advance and during the stay was super fast and helpful. We received a lot of tips and descriptions to find our way around. The shared roof terrace is very nice and the balcony of the apartment is also a good size. The furnishings are simple, but it has everything you need. We can absolutely recommend this place (value for money is right).

We had a great time at Emma and her husband's. They are very welcoming and friendly! The accommodation is really great, very well-equipped, very clean and the bedding is really very comfortable and the terrace is amazing! It has beautiful views of the olive groves and the sea. A true haven of peace! There's also a hot tub on the terrace which is highly appreciated after a good day of sightseeing. The pool is very clean with 2 deckchairs available or small sofas. I highly recommend this listing. We'll be happy to go back!

We were very happy with our choice of Villa Asteri. The location was perfect, and Esther responded quickly to our queries and always had great advice on where to eat and what to see. We stayed in October and enjoyed endless sunny days relaxing around the stunning pool in a secluded garden, both were meticulously maintained. There is a convenient and well stocked mini-supermarket a short stroll away and, just a little further down the road is Kalamaki Beach, a great spot with golden sand and clear water. We were able to park our rental car off the street in the driveway. Getting about was a breeze as the highway onramp was less than a kilometre away and it was only 5km into Chania. Our holiday in Crete exceeded all our expectations and Villa Asteri and its amazing location was a big part of that.

Nikos and Joanna were above and beyond as hosts. They were very responsive with our questions, helped arrange travel for us from the airport, and provided us with some pastries, treats, and water. Their place was absolutely beautiful. Our group of 7 had a wonderful time!

Georgios and Tanja's place is beautiful - a tranquil haven in a lovely village nestled up in the hills but only a few minutes' drive from the coast. Our experience was exceptional from the outset, with Tanja being very accommodating of our late check-in (due to the late arrival of our flight) and welcoming us warmly on arrival. She offered us suggestions for things to do and places to eat during our stay and graciously allowed us a late check-out as well - again due to the late departure of our flights. The house itself is fantastic, beautifully appointed and with a lovely view of the valley. Kournas is a very picturesque village and the food at the local tavernas is fabulous, although the kitchen in the house has everything you need to cook should you wish to. I can't recommend Georgio and Tanja's place enough for a place to stay in Crete. Hopefully we'll make it back one day!

We had a great time staying at Zoi and Jorge's place, Villa Amorada is picture perfect and the surrounds are stunning.

Wonderful House in beautiful surroundings, big garden, great pool, great views. We really felt at home, every kitchen tool an all necessities were there, shelves full of books in english, german an norwegian language. Eivind is a very nice host who answered promptly to all questions and provided valuable recommendations for nearby restaurants and beaches. We had a wonderful time on Crete!

Amazing place, very relaxing. Beautiful outdoor area with a lovely pool. Marilena was very helpful. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
