Vacation rentals in Ciudad Hidalgo

This is a really convenient place to stay when visiting the butterfly sanctuaries. Daniel is really friendly and sent me the gps location to make it easy to find his place. I was offered to park my motorbike under his covered carport to keep it from getting wet when it rained overnight. He has a nice backyard too where I believe you can park if arriving by car. He also runs a small corner store where you can buy some snacks when it’s open. The room itself is a bit cave like with only a small window and a single light bulb. This is pretty standard for a lot of Mexican homes, but I think it could be improved with some additional light sources and lamp shades to make it more cozy. A few hooks and maybe small dresser to hang and put away clothes would be nice too.

Excellent option to visit the Monarcas Butterfly Sanctuary and/or the Angangueo Magic Town. Really very nice and comfortable. I highly recommend it. Daniel and his daughter are very friendly and attentive to everything. I would definitely come back again.

PROS: The property was beautiful and peaceful. Very green and well maintained. The cabin was quaint. The bed was very comfortable and there was a perfect amount of bedding. The fireplace was a huge plus. The property felt very secure and staff was readily available. The shared hot tub was lovely in the evening! I used the bath inside the cabin, had some difficulty getting it hot, but it was warm enough. Breakfast was tasty, we had the chilaquiles verdes with huevos which came with orange juice, coffee, and fruit. CONS: We didn't receive any check-in details until we arrived and asked for it (via whats app). Thankfully we had service, but it was very spotty. We tried using the coordinates listed in airbnb and it's not correct FYI. That said, wifi doesn't work inside cabin and our data wasn't strong either so expect to be mostly offline. Dinner option was very limited (quesadillas) and we didn't think worth the price of 250 pesos so we ate in Zitacuaro.

We were looking for a place to stay for a career we had at the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary and this place worked perfect for what we needed. Jorge was very attentive and the space was very clean

Frida was very hospitable and was always on the lookout for anything we needed. The place is just like the photographs and is very well presented. I would definitely stay at this place again.

The accommodation is like the images, Jose always pending. The clean place and good condition. I recommend staying with Jose.

To visit Ciudad Hidalgo and be a few days is a very good place, it has the necessary services There were a few small details with a window that we couldn't close in the kitchen, but it didn't cause us any problems as the weather was quite hot and helped well to breathe the house
