Vacation rentals with a pool in Cherwell District

We had the most incredible stay at the barn in Knowle, it completely exceeded our expectations! The place was absolutely stunning, with beautiful interiors and everything we could possibly need for a perfect family getaway. The pool, gym and hot tub were fantastic! we had so much fun, and my two young boys absolutely loved every minute. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated, and the kitchen was immaculate and fully equipped, making it so easy to cook comfortably for our family. Paul and his wife were wonderful, friendly hosts who made us feel so welcome. We honestly can’t wait to return, highly recommend!

Just what was needed to break the monotony of winter. Gorgeous setting, so quiet and tranquil and enough to do should you want. House was as described , perfect location to explore Cotswolds area. Great recommendation for Thai takeaway on our arrival day given the lateness ! Excellent food. The wood fired hot tub was a wonderful addition and clear instructions on how to start the fire and the wood burner inside also . Definitely would visit again. Rob and James were excellent hosts. I cannot fault the property or the communication received in advance and while we were at the property. The surrounding area is also beautiful. I would highlight that the property and facilities are great for children but as four adults, we found the ‘spa’ area and outside swimming pool disappointing. There is only one hour each day that the pool at the spa is not ‘family time’ which basically means it is more a leisure centre than spa. There must have been more than 30 children when we attempted to visit late one afternoon. Perhaps we misread the vibe of the property, but a warning to other adult only groups.

We had a great time. we were very lucky with the weather. We found plenty to do an we enjoyed the swimming.

My partner and I stayed 2 nights for his birthday and had a lovely time. Sarah was extremely attentive—always reachable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. She sourced tools when we had car trouble, set up outdoor seating when we were on the pagoda, and accommodated extras like a birthday surprise and a stunning sharing board. Breakfast was also amazing. She kindly let us use the pool even though it was out of season. A few things to note: the upstairs tenant can be heard (as described), and the pool/sitting area feels slightly overlooked by the main house and upstairs entrance. The dogs can be noisy but were moved on quickly when needed. The jacuzzi may need a check—both of us had skin reactions after use. The main bed was also quite squeaky, waking us at times. Overall, though, a welcoming and thoughtful stay with personal touches that made it memorable.

What an amazing find. We have just returned from a fabulous stay with our children, at Chris and Alexandra’s gorgeous cottage - the photos don’t do it justice. So much to do and the most stunning views - there really is something for everyone. We didn’t want to leave. Chris and Alexandra were excellent hosts - helpful, friendly and responsive. We definitely will be returning.

Honestly had the most amazing time. If you’re a young family like us you will be glad to know that the hosts had great care for our child’s safety, making sure to instruct us on any possible hazard/risk presenting and how to avoid them. They were incredibly welcoming and let us get straight to doing what we stayed there to do, relax. We are locals and we will definitely be back again at the earliest opportunity. It honestly didn’t feel like we were still in Oxford. The property is completely secure, very quiet and incredibly clean, modern features, great experience (see you again soon!)

Warm, comfy and clean. Ideal location near the restaurant and spa. Great location and facilities for a gathering with my friends. Communication with host was excellent and always helpful. Would definitely return.
