Great host, always a tea or coffee on hand, you can easily share your meal with him, he will share his! And it's very talkative, about lots of things, you can't get bored. Communication will probably be easier if you're comfortable in English. My best host to date I think.

Very pleasant stay in a fabulous setting. The house is beautiful and would suit those seeking tranquillity in the countryside. Hospitable and generous hosts make for a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Linda and Alex's villa is in a beautiful & peaceful location, it has a fantastic swimming pool and beautiful gardens with lots of things to do – table tennis, swimming, boules, & relaxing 😌 The area is wonderful with lots of River swimming and beautiful towns all within a 10/15 minute drive We will definitely be returning

We had a great stay at Caroline's. The estate is beautiful, the accommodation is very nice, very clean and comfortable. Caroline is very friendly and very helpful and kind, she does everything to make the stay pleasant. The estate is very close to Jonzac where there are quite a few things to visit. I recommend.

Charming studio cottage in an old farmhouse with beautiful stone walls and quality amenities. Warm and unique atmosphere. The garden and the view of the Sound Valley make the place very pleasant and soothing. La belle Charente!

Warm welcome by the English couple Michelle and Nick. Spacious room, as described, with fridge, toilet and shower, and spacious bed. Well prepared breakfast, time by appointment. You will notice that Nick and Michelle are all located to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Very pleasant experience!

2 very nice rooms with sheets and towels provided. breakfast is available when you get up (even late). We were even able to cook our scrambled eggs. The house is well located and quiet with a large garden and 2 minutes from the village pool. Maria is an exceptional host, both for her kindness, her welcome and all her little touches. Don't hesitate to strike up, you might be surprised. we have really enjoyed our stay in Maria's house. thank you!!

Greta was wonderful host, very friendly and helpful. The building was lovely too, with loads of charm and modern conveniences. Only a 5 min walk from the beautiful town Square. Would definitely recommend.

Patricia and Philippe are charming hosts and very welcoming. The room is located in a beautiful quiet environment. The entrance is independent and overlooks a large terrace with beautiful views of the countryside and the town of Saint Junien on the horizon. The room and the bathroom are spacious and well-equipped. The private toilet is separated from the bathroom. The bedding is extremely good. Breakfast is hearty: baked goods, toast, homemade jams... In short, I would highly recommend this place to those who want to discover the region and recharge their batteries in the countryside!

We arrived and left in the rain but the welcome and accommodation in a spirit of elegant flea market, with large rooms sober but warm and arty, warmed us well. Marie is a discreet and surprising woman, maestra of homemade jams and compotes, in love with cats and beauty.

Kelly and his wife are great hosts. We had a lovely time at their place. Important fact: We didn’t miss any air conditioning during the night, as the temperature is really dropping down even during the “canicule”. We had the pleasure to sleep with open windows as there are no mosquitoes there at all and the neighbourhood is super quiet. I can really recommend.

We had a very pleasant stay at Claude and Christine's place. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The fact that we could buy cold beer when we arrived was great for us cyclists. The breakfast was lovely with a lot of homemade products. We can highly recommend staying with them.

excellent value for money peacful clean and lots of space

We made a one-night stopover at John's place. The sleeping area is large and well designed. We were able to enjoy our meal at the attached restaurant. It was very good and the staff was very friendly and friendly. Perfect for our stop with 2 teenagers.

Couldn’t have asked for better hosts staying with John and Janet. Friendly, welcoming and helpful with a brilliant breakfast provided each day, beautiful surroundings, nice chats and use of the pool. The living area was spotless and nothing was too much trouble. We had a wedding locally and it was a great base just outside the village. Our only very minor suggestion would be whether a mini fridge could be provided to save us disturbing the hosts by asking to use their fridge fairly often, but all in all it was a perfect stay. Thank you so much, we hope we’ll be back and will recommend to friends and family wanting a relaxing stay in the Dordogne!
