Family-friendly vacation rentals in Central Finland

Rantasauna oli parhautta mitä voi suomalaiseen maisemaan odottaa. Vietimme joulun tuolla huvilalla ja hyvin mahduimme 8-henkisen ryhmän kanssa toimimaan. Kesällä olisi varmaan vielä huikeampaa kun ulkotilat ja esimerkiksi piha voisi olla paremmin käytössä.

Hyvä sijainti, mökki viihtyisä ja vastasi kuvausta. Majoittajan kanssa viestittely nopeaa ja sujuvaa :) Suosittelen !

We had a great time staying at Nita place. The house is in a very nice place by the lake. Contact with the owner was great, I received a lot of information and recommendations. I recommend this beautiful place :)

I had a lovely weekend - peace and quiet in a beautiful location. The cottage had everything I needed, was super clean and heated upon arrival. The keys were available via a lockbox and Pauliina popped by on her way home from work to say hello. The wood sauna was quick to heat up and had an added bonus of a real shower! Plenty of wood available for the sauna and fire in the cottage itself. Comfortable bed an zero noise meant I slept well but the town is only a few minutes drive away (Choice of supermarkets, Alko etc). There were cafes and restaurants there as well. Would be nice to see the place in the Summer. Thanks Pauliina!

A truly magical place, your own little universe. A quiet and peaceful place like this is not easy to come by these days, especially not with all the modern amenities that Pirjo's place offers. Private sauna, comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, fast WiFi, near-total isolation with a town still in reach... I could go on. A true gem in the middle of the beautiful Finnish nature and without a doubt the best Airbnb I ever stayed at. Pirjo herself is an amazing host. Not only did she always reply quickly and very helpfully – she went out of her way multiple times to accommodate and go the extra mile for me, organizing helpful things for me that I didn't even ask her to. I am so grateful to Pirjo, whose hospitality has been the cherry on top of this amazing vacation-cake. Also the island's caretaker, Heikki, was super nice and helpful and I'm happy to have met him. Sadly I didn't meet Pirjo to thank her in person but I hope we will once I inevitably come back for another stay.

Vanhanajan "mummolan" saunan löylyt hyväili motoristeja pitkän ajopäivän päätteeksi.

Esa was a magnificent host and is an absolute gentleman. This is our second to book this house and we would highly recommend it. The house was spotlessly clean and the location is amazing. We will definitely be back.

Very peaceful place to spend family time and relax. I recommend that it's a holiday destination. It was very good in winter so will be amazing in the summer with all what you need for a perfect holiday. 🥰

The place was a great getaway from everything. It wasn't squeaky clean, but it was as clean as I'd expect someone's summer cottage to be, and it was absolutely fine. The second floor has a low ceiling so moving around can be a bit awkward and the stairs are a little steep but manageable for able-bodied people. The place was always warm and cozy, even in -20°C temperatures outside! If you need groceries, the local K Market should have everything you need, but don't expect many amenities or things to do nearby, you might have to drive an hour or two for most points of interest. Overall, it was a great experience and for a great price, we'd come back again!

Erittäin rauhallinen ja luonnonläheinen mökki saunoineen kuitenkin lähellä palveluja. Kaikki oli todella siistiä ja toimivaa. Viihtyisästä ja tilavasta saunasta irtosi mehukkaat löylyt. Tänne tunsi olevansa tervetullut. Erinomainen ohjeistus sekä ennakkoon että paikan päällä. Kiitos!

The house very clean and tidy . Near to shop . Will come back again

Very cosy, clean and well equiped cottage within walking distance from Ähtäri zoo. We enjoyed surrounding nature trails and fire places by the lake.

the photos in the airbnb site perfectly reflect the apartment. it is very well appointed and very comfortable. location is great, 10-12 minutes walk to the centre of the city.

Nice cottage with everything you need for a stay at Himos. Plenty of amenities and a few minutes drive to the ski slopes and 3 minute walk to the lake.

Kaikki sujui oikein mukavasti ja mökki oli mukavan tilava ja hyvin varusteltu. Saimme ekstrana avannon tekoon jääsahan sekä kaitan ja pääsimme myös käyttämään rantasaunaa. Erittäin hyvä kokemus!

Täydellinen paikka rentoutumiseen luonnon helmassa. Kohde oli erittäin viihtyisä ja taatusti kokonaisuudessaan siistein vuokramökki, jossa olemme koskaan majoittuneet. Mökin puusauna antoi hyvät löylyt. Tänne tulee mielellään uudestaankin!
