Houseboat vacation rentals in Caribbean Sea

We had such a lovely time staying at Ingrid’s house. The bungalow on the water was really cute and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Ingrid was a wonderful host. We snorkeled every day and went to town a couple of times for lunch and to purchase some groceries. We cooked every day so stock up on supplies. There are staples in the cabin like basic spices and oil. Such a peaceful and picturesque spot. We hope to be back soon.

Nice little rustic cabins on the water. Read the description as it's in a local area and as such, it's a little rough around the edges. The neighbours were all very friendly and we always felt safe during our stay. The cabins themselves were very clean and well maintained. Most importantly, you get to meet Bella. She's the friendliest lil pup you'll ever meet. Would we return? YES.

We were 3 adults and we were all so excited with the house. So warm and beautiful with a very friendly host!clean and very lovely. It was a bit far from the town (25min walk) so we had the privacy we needed.Totally recommend it for an affordable option on such a fancy place!!

Exemplary hosts in every way. This place is beautiful and has everything you’d need. Right on the water front for excellent relaxation while also a short stroll into town - just perfect. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night and plan to go back again soon. Highly recommend :)

Poli's accommodation is amazing. It is a dream place, literally under the house is full of colorful fish, crabs, etc. The manta rays pass by the side of the house, at least 4 different ones, to a shark passing outside. If you like to do Snorkeling this place is the best, even better than paying for a snorkeling tour. In the cabin are available at no additional cost 2 kayak, super entertaining to go around. Jacob is a 7 (he handles the boat), I helped us in everything we could need. Always attentive to our questions and needs. If you go to Poli's hut you're not afraid to go out. It's really amazing. Poli was an excellent host, she welcomed us at the cottage and explained how she worked. We recommend 100% this cabin!!! and I would definitely go there again.

A quiet paradise over the water. The only sounds were birds and waves, and the occasional boat passing by. Connect to the ocean and nature day and night by watching birds and fish and bats right from your dinner table. If you're looking for some peace and quiet - this is the place for you!

John and Naomi were so welcoming they felt like old friends! They gave us great local recommendations and the location was perfect!! The unit was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. We can hardly wait to come back!

Overall, a great one of a kind experience. It’s not exactly luxury but where else can you rock yourself to sleep on a nice comfortable queen bed on the Lagoon of 7 Colors? Sebastian was very proactive and was available at all times. Mariana, his assistant, was very sweet and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. The boat does need a few upgrades (a new shower head is a must) but overall it was well appointed and very comfortable. The A/C was appreciated, as was the overhead bed fan. And the ability to get up out of bed, open the door and jump into a gorgeous lake was a godsend for my bedhead.

I cannot think of a better way to spend a few days in Golfito than to settle in aboard Katie's wonderful houseboat and experience the joy and delight of the place and the people. It's difficult to decide where to begin with the compliments and superlatives, but I'll start with the houseboat. Katie and her partner built the houseboat and lived aboard it for years. Consequently, it's been highly refined for simple comforts and function. It has the feel of a snug little den. The beds are comfortable, the galley is well equipped for cooking, and the porch offers an unimpeded view of the bay and the western sky, with excellent bird watching. There are no concerns about security. We spent some delightful time with Katie. She's a joyous person and a generous font of information about the area and what to see and do, including suggestions for the best places to enjoy genuine Tico food. Don't miss the ceviche at the PMT (sounds like peh emme teh in Spanish) just down the road to the east.

The place is beautiful. I wouldn’t recommend staying in Marigot bay the whole time. There’s not a lot of great food options, all with the same, fairly limited menu. The local food is the best option - jerk chicken, stews, etc, but even those are not as good as the rest of the island. This place is only accessible by boat - you need what’s app to get on and off the cabin to get food. The beach is walking distance and there’s some food and beverages served when you get chairs during the day. The hike along the property (Billy goat trail) is stunning. It’s really very very beautiful, but it’s not a great place to see the island. Also being a sound machine - sound travels across the water and it can be fairly loud.

Loved staying at this place! Would come back again. In fact, just booked for two more days at the other cabin on the water because the experience was so peaceful and beautiful! Thank you to the entire team!

We stayed at Lorena’s houseboat for a few nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The rooftop patio exceeded expectations and was a great location day and night when you needed to escape the high energy of the Hotel Zone. The location is exceptionally central to all of the Hotel Zone attractions and is a short walk to Playa Caracol. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any crocodiles but we would definitely stay here again!

It is not easy to find suitable words that sufficiently reflect our experience. The floating house that belongs to David and Sally is something of a different world. Just imagine you have the opportunity to spend your vacation in a place you dreamed of in your children's dreams. Fairytale house, floating on the waves of the Caribbean. But this dream is all the better that there is more to it. Because where your fantasy ends, David and Sally are just warming up there. The bed attached with chains is the ceiling, the grill as a self-explanatory part of the floating dining area. There are kayaks that will take you to the uninhabited islands you have as a stone's throw away. This and more, is fully available to you. And when you think it couldn't be better, David and Sally are here. The best people in the world who are ready to give advice, help, or take their boat and spend a whole day with you on a trip. Nothing is impossible. And even if you don't need anything right now, they're here for you to just chat. I recommend!

The entire place was very clean, comfortable and had plenty of space to accommodate all 5 of us. Our hosts, Naomi and Jason are wonderful and extremely responsive to anything we asked. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful and smooth. We would totally recommend it and would stay here again.💙
