Waterfront vacation rentals in Buffalo County

We enjoyed our overnight in Alma. We came down from the Twin Cities for an event at Danzinger Vinyards and enjoyed what Alma had to offer starting with cocktails at a local favorite, The Red Ram, conveniently downstairs. Spent the evening at the winery, then breakfast at Beth's in Nelson. Great AirBB

Great spot. Turns out just my wife and I used the location, so, lots of space for just 2 people.

Enjoyed the spacious house and beautiful views along the river. Lots of activity to see. Did some fishing right off the deck. Bedrooms were private with own bathroom. Great for each family. Huge kitchen area for group gatherings. Great place!

My fiancé and I had our engagement party with our friends here, we rented the entire home. The location and home itself was beautiful and right on the river. Logan was a very proactive and responsive host! We were impressed with the quality of the home as well as the amenities! Would recommend for a getaway weekend for a large or small group!

Beth’s place was a peaceful respite for our family during a rough time when our dad was ill at Saint Elizabeth’s hospital. The serene setting calmed us, and it was reassuring to be so close to the hospital. Fresh air walks between dad’s room and Beth’s place were therapeutic. Beth’s home has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Little touches like nice dishes, silverware and nice coffee mugs, extra blankets for chilly nights and well stocked bathrooms made all the difference. And the river view … Oh My … the grand view of the Mississippi brings beauty and awe day and night.

The Great River Retreat is truly a retreat, with a beautiful view, fun house to stay in. It’s a gem, along the mighty Mississippi River.

I went to Highschool in this area and know very well how beautiful River road Hwy 35 is. Fountain City has always been my favorite along the route, and this residence is a nice spot to take it all in.

We really enjoyed Mark's place. It was perfectly located right in the middle of town - we only visited 3 of the five restaurants within a block of the house. All were fantastic! Mark communicated so well. He answered my questions within minutes of my sending them. The house itself is filled with lovely antiques. We loved the sunroom, right off the kitchen. Perfect place to read a book or just soak up the sun. We shopped kn Winona- found a few cute boutiques with great prices. Visited a brewery, distillery and several wineries. Oh, and I won at Meat-go at the Brothel bar Friday night! We will definitely return!

This was a great place for a weekend getaway. The suite we stayed in was very charming. The furniture was comfortable and stylish. The view of the Mississippi while sitting in the nook is breathtaking. Logan was an amazing host, he was in contact with me the day before check in and was quick to respond if I had a question. There is keyless entry that was so quick and easy.
