Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Brettenwood Coastal Estate

A beautiful and spotlessly clean home with all the comforts to make our stay a magical experience. The undercover patio is weatherproof and was our favorite place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature and the lush natural foliage. The monkey troop that passed through daily were curious and not a nuisance at all - we loved watching them for the few minutes that they visited us every day. The home is furnished with an array of interesting and personal items that were fascinating and intriguing. And so many wonderful books to suit all tastes! We were blown away by the dog bed and water bowl that awaited our two small dogs - such a lovely touch! Easy access to the garden for our house-trained dogs. Absolutely no security concerns at all. The estate is a wonderland of walking trails, dams, indigenous natural bush and wildlife. We will definitely be back - 8 nights was just too short! Beate's house is so cozy and really does feel like home. The location was perfect for my activities and my daughter and dogs enjoyed the park that is ok literally at the house's entry step. Thank you Beate for everything.

Amazing beach house… Golfing and the beach… absolutely beautiful 4 bed home for a comfortable , relaxing stay… on this magnificent Golf Estate. The host Este , is absolutely responsive and booking was a breeze. Will definitely book again.

Carena's place was a large beautiful home with lots of gorgeous, mature palm trees. Carena and staff were so very helpful and kind and went out of their way to make sure our stay went perfectly. We greatly appreciated it 🙏🏼

I don't know where to begin - views from every window, be it the sea or the beautiful city. A plethora of eateries for every palette, from high end restaurants to quick takeaway options. Shopping convenience from grocery stores to standard retail. All of this in walking distance. An example is popping out for sunscreen at Dischem, from out your door to back is literally 8 mins. And to top it all access to all the normal hotel amenities, such as room service which you can pay for on delivery. We did last minute champagne and a cheese platter 10pm at night overlooking the gorgeous city lights and the ocean. And let's not forget the slightly heated pool making a cool down plunge without having worry about icy water such a comfort. Spoils in abundance! The whole Pearls experience combined with the vibe of Umhlanga is the closest you'll ever get to Miani on an African coastline. Thank you Keith and Magesh for the breathtaking experience. It was simply unforgettable!

What a gem! Worth every cent! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a Family of 6. The place is beautiful, modern and extremely clean. Everything we needed was there to utensils, comfortable beds with mattress protectors and comfortable pillows. There were enough dishes and more for a family of 6 and there were dishes even accommodating our 5 year old (plastic plates, cups and eating utensils). The clean and magnificent beach was a couple of steps away and the complex is serene. The pool for adults and kids was clean and warm. We will definitely return to this property! What an absolute delight it was staying there. The host was also super fantastic! We have no regrets!

great location, clean and well serviced, very secure with boom gate security and entrance staff. there are some items that need maintenance in the apartment, like ligh bulbs, light switches etc.. but didn't impact us much. recomend it for an Umhlanga stay.

My stay was amazing. Kwanda was very friendly, understanding, and helpful whenever we needed him. The place was so clean and looked exactly like in the pictures. Would definitely go back.

Such a lovely stay, beautiful and clean space, amazing view, loved watching the ships pass by from the balcony. Thank you for all the complimentary coffees, teas etc. Host is very responsive, very attentive and always ready to help and answer any questions. We walked to the beach, and to ushaka which was nice to leave the car at home for once. We really had an amazing time!

Jess’s place is paradise. This is our second visit and we are planning to return for a third visit next year. Jess is a marvelous host, and we were very well supported and cared for by her local staff. Gorgeous location. Very comfortable condo. This place is an Airbnb winner!

Great stay at Luke's apartment - really easy access across the road to the public beach for tidal pools and swimming. We didn't use the swimming pool but that seemed in good condition too. Large main bedroom with ample storage (and a fan we were very grateful for!), the second bedroom was also suitable for our needs (two adults) and had cupboard storage too. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and cutlery, we did not find any basics like oil and salt/pepper which meant getting our own - though this wasn't a problem. We made use of the aircon in the living room, really great extra to have on humid days. We loved the outdoor area too, semi-private with people walking past every now and again for the pool or beach access. Overall would definitely stay again - thanks for the hospitality :)

Stephanie was a very gracious host who welcomed us in her beautiful space. It was the perfect abode for us to rest and recharge in, and there’s a supermarket very close by. There isn’t much to do in the location but we didn’t mind. We felt safe at all times but we were told not to walk outside after sundown. The facilities of the Airbnb are great and Stephanie provided us some fruit, yogurt, milk, butter, etc, the basics for a breakfast, which was very nice. Would recommend this place!

The place looks even better in person and the view from the balcony is breath taking. I would highly recommend this place and book it again in the future.

My family and I had the most splendid time in Bronwyn's well-appointed, spacious quayside apartment bosting magnificent views of the Durban coastline from every room and it's generous balcony, which are even better than the photos. Swimming and surfing beaches are just a few steps away. The area is amazingly quiet at night except for the soft whisper of the waves as they hit the shoreline, inducing the best sleep you're likely to have anywhere. Bronwyn and Mike are exceptional hosts and I do plan to return again soon.

We had a fantastic stay at Louise's place! The apartment was incredibly clean, well-located, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Louise and Phumi went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend staying here!
