We had a great stay. Relatively easy to get to train stations and shopping. Quiet place and good rooms. Clean and everything you need immediately.

An old castle with a lot of history and very friendly host. I'll return!

Anke was very flexible with check-in and gave us a good tour of the castle and Airbnb. The pictures do not do justice to the apartment - it is much more spacious, brighter and nicer than expected. The terrace overlooking the castle garden is also beautiful. The surroundings also delighted us: the castle garden and the art hiking trail invite you to take long walks and the ice cream cafe right outside the door was perfect for a little break. Absolutely recommended!

A superb experience in living history, this castle nestles in a quiet woodland by the small village of Dretzel. Very welcoming hosts and a completely relaxed atmosphere, we had the run of the place. Taking meals by candelabra in the same hall that Napoleon and his General Staff celebrated their victory over Prussia at Jena-Auerstedt in 1806, was just the touch we enjoyed. Some of us stayed in the tower, which was excellent as we had our own kitchen. We particularly liked the ‘pick your own room’ approach and I enjoyed my tour of the grounds with Phillipp on his golf buggy. This is a must stay. The history is enough.

The converted mill is really a highlight. It is furnished to a very high quality. The view of the field and the terrace are a big highlight. For children there is both a trampoline, a swing and a sandbox. The surrounding area is very quiet. We took a trip to Karls Erdbeerhof 30 minutes away by car. We felt very comfortable. In every detail, both in terms of the interior and in terms of the incredibly refined garden design, you have noticed how much professional work you put into the renovation of the substance, which is very admirable! Great house for a group, everything there and enough space and leisure activities. Simple but practical equipment!

We very much enjoyed our stay in the castle. The unit was very spacious and full of charm—you could even climb the tower. The location could not have been better with a bakery, Italian restaurant and market just steps away.

Our weekend at Lanke Castle was wonderful. The apartment is nicely decorated and well equipped. The property is directly adjacent to the lake, just the right place for a quiet weekend in the countryside. Highly recommend!

Great host; quirky set up which made it more interesting. Wish we had more time to enjoy the garden.
