Kayaking around Departure Bay is easy as the kayaks are kept just above the high tide mark, grab life jackets and paddles from the yoga room and you’re good to go. Later you can relax in the hot tub , or send the kids down to play on the trampoline. All this 10 minutes from the shops and cafes of Nanaimo.

Tiny Seaside Retreat

Walk up the driveway into a storybook treehouse setting at our tiny cozy rustic cabin by the sea. Relax on one of the decks, enjoy the view, the resident wildlife, and the peaceful ambiance of the property. Launch your kayak right from the property. Our place is close to parks, restaurants and dining whether you paddle or drive. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and is pet friendly. There is a ladder to the loft and not good for people with mobility issues.

Maple Sunshine Oceanfront Upper Cottage

Top floor of cottage on the ocean with view across the straits to Nanaimo/Vancouver Island. Short ferry ride from the mainland. Located on the Sunshine Coast with incredible natural attractions and scenery. Ocean access directly in front of cottage. Skookumchuk Rapids is about 1 hour away. Gourmet dinning is just a 1. 2 kilometers walk away along the Ocean Beach Esplanade. Lots of kite and wind surfers, boats and barges pass in front of the house. Picnic on the beach and the sandbar out front.

Close to a boat launch, great views, parks, mountainbiking,trails, a waterfall and the city centre. 5min stroll to Sandy Hook Park and a small beach with a view of the inlet and mountains. 10min drive to kayak rental The peaceful natural surroundings, the fresh air, the sounds of nature, the comfy bed, and the quiet neighbourhood will all ensure your visit is a good one. Waterfront! A beautiful, newly-renovated suite with modern coastal style. Walk out of the french doors onto your private patio to the Davis Bay shore! Located between Gibsons and Sechelt with walkout access to Davis Bay beach. Perfect for a couple or small family, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a new pull-out sofa bed in the living room. New for 2021...We had a baby! This may mean some additional noise as we live upstairs. We added extra sound insulation when we renovated.

South facing, sheltered from most of the wind, walk-on oceanfront in the city! Large deck, Solarium, Hot-tub, Kayaks and stunning views (Brandon Islands, Newcastle Island Provincial Park, Birds, Seals, Otters, Boats, Fisheries Canada docks). Swim, Paddle board, Kayak, Beach comb, Picnic or just relax - beside the salt water and a patch of old forest. Nanaimo is centrally located, permitting day trips to Vancover, Victoria and even Tofino. Luke (myself) reside in the suite.

Ocean view from the cabin - walk down the sloping lawn and stairs down to the beach. It is the perfect place to getaway, unwind, and spend time in our beautiful coastal surroundings. Watch the seals, otters and eagles play at our secluded beach. Swim or launch your kayaks, paddle boards or canoes from our property to enjoy the splendour of the Salish Sea. Arbutus Counselling service is onsite and massage are available, often times arranged in advance of your stay.

Waterfront West Coast Rustic

Walkout waterfront !!! Come and experience this very private original/rustic (never been touched in over 70 years) cottage sitting on a rock promenade with gentle sloping ramp access to the historic Halfmoon Bay beach. (It's all yours, walk kilometers in either direction). Situated on the southern shore of Halfmoon Bay protected from wind, the setting enjoys the full benefits of a western exposure with unbelievable sunset views, swimming, boating, etc.

This unique old south facing waterfront multilevel house has the best view and the best waterfront access on the most prestigious street in Nanaimo. Lots of parking. The AirBnB space is available for 4 adults plus children. Everything you need including kayaks and bicycles! Sometimes you can get free boat rides with the owner.
