Chalet vacation rentals in Bournemouth

What a wonderful stay. The Shed is clean, spacious, comfy, has a real home from home feel. The centre piece of the Shed has to be the amazing sea view, I could spend hours looking out to sea in the cosy armchair. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning!

We stayed here for my husband’s birthday as a family of two adults, three children, our small dog and my mother in law. It was a lovely clean spacious caravan with an amazing view. We had gorgeous weather which really was the icing on the cake. When we arrived it was easy to find and there were biscuits and cakes left for us by Caroline. We also went to Haven reception and they gave us free entertainment passes which meant we could visit the entertainment in the evenings with the children. We’d definitely love to stay again! Both the accommodation and the park were very clean on arrival and throughout our stay and had all the facilities we need for a holiday and as advertised. The location is amazing and we look forward to returning later in the year.

Lovely caravan in a beautiful location. So close to the beach. The caravan had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable.

We have had another wonderful few nights at Brian and Carol's. We would highly recommend the accommodation to anyone.

We had a great time at Sarah's lodge. Two single foster mum friends with our combined foster children. All 4 children have complex additional needs. The location and facilities were perfect for us all. We holiday every year with our fosterlings. We want this to become our new regular holiday destination. The lodge was clean and practical with lots of space outside for our children to play safely in view. Would highly recommend this lovely lodge in the New Forest

The host and reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A couple of issues we had on arrival were swiftly dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner. Our host was very flexible and went out of her way to ensure we were happy during our stay. The location of the accommodation is excellent and it sits in an amazing area. It's quiet, rural and very pretty. We look forward to visiting again.

This a fantastic place to stay! Christine is a fabulous host and she was really responsive to message and friendly throughout. The property is fantastic and has everything you could need and more! I highly recommend you stay here and my family and I are definitely booking again.

The chalet was as described, a lovely space perfect for 2 families (4 adults and 7 children). It is walking distance to the beach but not really in driving distance of anything else other than a pub, but that wasn’t a problem for us. The kitchen was well equipped and had all The utensils we needed as well as some oil, salt, pepper, tea and coffee. We had a good stay and would return if we were to stay in the area again.

Another great stay here with the family. The lodge is in a lovely position, spacious and well equipped. Steve communicated very efficiently and responded promptly. The cost has got rather expensive but you do get comfort and luxury. We would be happy to return again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Lovely cosy but spacious log cabin. Loved the reindeer and Christmas tree. Weather was atrocious, but we were cosy with all facilities. We would go again.

Great spot in a beautiful area

Amazing stay here for stag party of 8. The place was better than the pics. When you are actually there it’s a great feeling. Very clean and private too. Excellent parking outside the door. The beds were all done including the sofa beds x2 very comfy. Sauna too wow. I never knew we had places like this in this neck of the woods!!!! Stephen was very friendly and a great welcome email and instructions without the scary intro you get with some properties. Well done Stephen. Superb 10/10.

Stayed during winter period so didnt use amenities but everything was as described and clean, all equipment was new, had everything we needed.

Our first ever Airbnb stay and it didn't disappoint! Spotlessly clean on arrival. Drop Anchor had everything we could have needed and more - even plastic plates, bowls and cups for our 2 year old! With the added bonus that as a family with 3 children, 13, 9 and 2 years old, that it is the only caravan we could find to accommodate our family of 5. The second bedroom is perfect with a single bed and bunk beds. The main bedroom is spacious and has its own ensuite. The only downside was the ensuite shower over the bath which lacked the power of the main shower so we did all use the main shower but for those who like a bath then it wouldn't be an issue. Well decorated with a seaside theme throughout, it was a comfortable and cosy October half term stay. Close to Avon Beach and Mudeford Quay, it's the perfect place for those who like walking, crabbing, parks for the kids etc. With Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole a short drive away. Will certainly look to stay at Drop Anchor again!

Gregory was helpful, very responsive to emails. The chalet is in the most spectacular location with sunsets galore and a beach visible from the chalet. The Downs are also visible. It's quiet and peaceful. Freshwater and Yarmouth are close by with their own beaches and village centres. There's a good curry house called Jaffran, both restaurant and take away in Freshwater, which I believe will deliver as far as the chalet. The chalet is very nice, comfortable beds with good cupboard space. The kitchen is clean and well stocked, the bathroom as well. The shower is quick to heat up, with good water pressure. I definitely will stay here again if I come back to the Island. Thanks Gregory.

Lovely place to stay, in a beautiful location! Sandhills holiday park is quiet and peaceful, and everyone very friendly. Swimming pool was great, with heated water so perfect for long swim sessions with kids. The lodge was spacious, clean and well equipped (large fridge which was very useful!) and the deck outside gets afternoon/evening sunshine. Great selection of board games and jigsaws too! It’s situated very close to the swimming pool and a 2 minute walk to the beach, perfect for an early morning stroll for coffee and bacon baps at the Noisy Lobster. Jane was very responsive and helpful, and checked in to make sure our stay was going smoothly. We had a wonderful time, would highly recommend!

As soon as we walked into the lodge we felt at home. It was far better prepared than another lodge we have used on that site. (Not Mud Huts) We booked another stay for September when we arrived home.

Lovely chalet with quality fit out. We have great view over the harbour and an easy walk to beach or quay. In October it was quiet but in the summer the easy access to the beach without needing to pack would be fab. The chalet is equipped with everything you could think of and more! Cooking was easy in such a well equipped kitchen. We were here for a funeral rather than holiday so our perspective was slightly different but I can see that it would be a great base for a lovely holiday. The wifi wasn’t working/ they were helpful and immediately put us in touch with engineers who fixed the problem.

Lovely few days down in Mudeford in great holiday home a literal stones throw from the sea. Location unbeatable for families who have gear to haul to the beach. As you can see from the photos there is a path to the sea wall at the front of the home, which is fab for views and access to the beach. Just be aware that a lot of other park users use this so there are quite a few people walking past at all times of the day and into the early evening. Well appointed with everything you need, lovely and clean, even soft fluffy towels. Thank you for letting us stay in your holiday home. Hope to come again and would definitely recommend! :)
