Vacation rentals in Borgarnes

Perfect house for a group of friends. We spent New Years Eve there and loved it. We even had the luck to see a massive aurora on New Years Eve which made the place even more magical :-) We enjoyed the hot tub, the quiet location and the great kitchen and living room. Beds were comfy, too. Only thing was that the instructions for the hot tub werent up to date and it took a little until we solved it. Other than that everything was perfect :-)

During our stay we felt very homey. The house is cozy, lovely decorated and private. It also offered nice amenities, for instance a hot tub, a grill, and enough beds for seven adult people. We would definitely stay there again and thus fully recommend it!

David’s place was perfect! The pictures are exactly what the flat looks like in person! David was kind enough to allow me to check in early which was amazing given that my flight arrived at 7am! I know that’s not always possible and I appreciated his flexibility. David also provided me information on parking nearby, which was helpful since there is no parking with the flat. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an excellent stay at The Mountain Villa in early February. Hafþór and Björn were gracious hosts, responding to queries quickly and providing clear instructions to find and access the place. The villa itself was as charming and idillic as we had expected, everything was perfectly clean and tidy on arrival and the facilities were fantastic; we particularly enjoyed the sauna and cold plunge after long days exploring. Flúðir was a quiet little village but perfect for what we wanted, with enough options to eat and drink for the short time we were there, and easily walkable from the villa. The hospitality at Restaurant Minilik was particularly excellent, and the Secret Lagoon is definitely worth a visit too! The Mountain Villa was a perfect hub to explore the region, with lots of sights and walks within a 30 minute drive, and a good place to travel further into the South from. Overall, a perfect stay and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you Hafþór and Björn!

This is a place I could’ve stayed at for a long time. A fantastically stocked kitchen and spacious living area. It comes across much larger than advertise. The best part of the place is its peaceful serenity, and its wonderful view. Good central location for doing day trips to check out many great locations that South Iceland provides. Would definitely stay here again, and again and again and again. 😊

We had an amazing stay! The view was spectacular, everything was clean, the beds were super comfy and the kitchen was really well equipped. Would highly recommend!

We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

We just spent three nights in this lovely home and had the best time. We saw the northern lights our last night after the clouds cleared away. Beautiful space and it has everything you need. We loved the peaceful view and quiet environment. We would definitely return!
