Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Blanco County

Roomy 4 BR house close to downtown shops and restaurants, but still quiet. Very clean, and ample parking. Close to many great wineries. Feels like a family member's house. Good value for the area as well. Great for larger families and smaller groups.

We were delighted with our stay in this historic house in a great location where we were able to walk to the annual holiday light displays; have breakfast the next morning just up the street; pop in for great cocktails New Year's Eve. Very accurate description. Particularly enjoyed being able to view the various Johnson family photos in the dining room. Definitely recommend! Very atmospheric.

Perfect in every way! Hosts communicated promptly. The cottage was amazing as were the surroundings. Perfect spot to day trip to multiple hill country communities. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home: coffee, hot chocolate, even chicken soup! A great experience and a definite return destination. 5 stars are not enough!

We LOVED Stewie’s Getaway! Our long (2 month) stay really speaks to how well-appointed and comfortable Jonathan’s place is. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 as well as our dogs. From the extra pillows and towels to the stocked kitchen and ready-to-go hot tub, our stay was luxurious and comfortable from the first moment. In addition to the lovely and pristinely clean house, our host went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable, memorable and fun. He was unfailingly responsive with thoughtful suggestions for places to eat, things to do and even great spots to take in the natural beauty of hill country. The gourmet kitchen was a delight to cook meals in and the cozy seating out front offers an unbeatable view of absolutely next level sunsets. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, spacious and luxurious retreat while exploring beautiful and charming hill country.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is in a remote location. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and were able to drive to recommended locations easily.

This house was awesome! We had planned to stay in Yurts over the weekend with friends but the pieces froze so we had to scramble and find a place last minute. Nancy and her team responded quickly and made things easy for us in a stressful situation! The place is beautiful and has everything one needs. The place was clean and so comfortable. Will definitely be back!

Melanie was always responsive to issues or concerns and proactive on potential issues. Property is unique and interesting. The house is consistent with the price. Lots of room. Very remote but very convenient to a lot of quality wineries and distilleries. Minor issues were dull knives, minimal cooking pots and pans, and an old DVD player w/o controller or Blueray capability. Enjoyed their dogs and feeding the sheep. Very long driveway is great for walks. We plan to return next year.
