This place is gorgeous and a perfect location, easy walk to town and wharf. The place has a beautiful large deck that was excellent for relaxing with wonderful views. But Mary went above and beyond by leaving us some light groceries and even a bottle of wine which was such a wonderful welcome gift! Beautiful stay, definitely recommend it! Susan, Dallas Tx

This is by far the best place my husband and I have stayed ! Anneke has an amazing eye for style the studio is designed to perfection ! It is beautiful - peaceful and comfortable ! From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and calm, it was exactly what we needed ! The view is 'out of this world' to watch and hear the waves crashing is sooo nourishing for the soul - everyday is soo different - different colours and sounds - we loved making a cup of tea and sitting and making the most of the environment ! Some days we didn't leave the studio as it's so restful ! Anneke is very a kind considerate host and i would highly recommend this accommodation - my husband and I are hoping to come back soon ! We had an amazing time during our stay! The surroundings were absolutely stunning, making it the perfect escape. It’s truly a fantastic spot for larger groups looking to create unforgettable memories together.

We spent a night at Merrill’s place on our road trip. The place was very easy to find just off the main road north. Merrill met us at check in a showed us around the house. We were given breakfast provisions for the next morning which was very nice and also some local fruit to try. The property has 2 bedrooms and a combined living room and kitchen with everything you need. The Ruakaka beach is beautiful just about 15 min walk or 3 min drive away. We would stay again.

We enjoyed the spaciousness of this practically brand new house. It was very well equipped and provided great comfort during our stay. The house is located close to the Basin area and CBD, providing a short walk to the main attractions. With this location there is some traffic noise, primarily during rush hour.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the stunning location, we enjoyed fishing and had lots of space. Definitely recommended 👌

Hayley had great communication and was pleasant to deal with. I loved the location and how peaceful it was and to top it off I did not have to leave for food as Hayley had already provided a selection of snacks with great selection of drinks suffice enough (sweets, savoury, biscuits, breakfast, juice) and would be one of the best stocled pantrys ive seen in all of the accommodation I have stayed. Simple and elegant.

Beautiful spot in the Hokianga. Bryce is lovely and welcoming and the space is tidy and homely. Would recommend staying here if you needed a spot in this region 💪🏼

Loved staying at Liz’s place! Comfortable beds! Wow they were comfortable! The outside deck made you feel like you were in a tiny oasis. 4 min walk to one of the most beautiful beaches! Would definitely recommend staying! Liz even let us barrow two bikes for our young children. Thank you Liz!

Beautiful stay at a lovely, private and well thought out space. Private but also felt spacious and relaxing to spend time in. Our hosts made us feel welcome at all times, were responsive to questions and seemed to really enjoy sharing their home. I especially loved the extra touches of snacks, delicious home made muesli and yoghurt in the fridge. My mum and I loved our stay and will be back!

Perfect place to stay when visiting Russell, close to gas station, town centre. The views are phenomenal to sit and have breakfast.

Linda was a great host. She was great to talk to and had clear instructions. Her place has a beautiful view and we were lucky to see a rainbow. Comfy bed and great breakfast.

Jennie’s place is set in a beautiful garden with a rural feel yet you are able to walk into town in a few minutes. Both Jennie and her husband are very friendly and responsive to any need you might have. The place is comfortable and has its own entrance. We felt very welcomed there and the provided breakfast was above all our expectations! And, they gave us a ride to the airport, too! Would not hesitate to stay there again!

Very special place in the middle of the forest. Exhuberant vegetation, vegetables and fruits ready to harvest. Kind company always ready to help. Authentic vintage atmosphere. Three hens, one ruster and five friendly dogs (usually only two small ones). Don't miss it !

Worth spending three nights here. Very welcoming and helpful. Gave me very good tips for the daily activities and what to see. But mostly important I felt like at home. I hope to come back one day. I huge recommend it❤️

Vicky and Damien are very nice, because my husband was a little bit sick, they prepared good breakfast for us, they are very kind and friendly, and I love their cute cat, Mosh is seventeen years old, for cats, she is a grandma, but she is just like a baby cat, just like my cat in my hometown. This place is very nice for road trip to the north. Next I hope to visit again 👍😀

Prepare yourself for an amazing flat with a stunning view over the Bay of Islands and a wonderful host. Gayle is very fun, super friendly and did everything to help us feel at home.

Gill was a lovely host who was very helpful with any queries and information. The suite was comfortable, quiet, clean, the breakfast offerings were good, and it was a short, easy walk into the centre of town. The beach was less than a block away and there is a great trail to Opua from the end of the beach. As a solo traveler it was also nice that Gill accompanied me on a few outings in the area. I highly recommend Gill and her BnB!
