Vacation rentals with a kayak in Barbados

We stayed at coco house with our 2 boys, the home is just wonderful and the real picture we can’t get out of our mind was the view from the balcony with the morning coffee’s. Sugar hill is perfect for those with older children wishing to have a little of their own independence too with the pools close by. We wouldn’t hesitate to rebook with Susie. We found all the information fantastic which enabled a full packed adventure in Barbados. The beds were comfortable. Marcia who looks after the property and meet and greets was also fabulous. This is a great AirBnB and highly recommend it for peaceful stay in Barbados. Diana, who lives next door, is very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and attentive. She wants you to have a great stay (but not intrusive either). The house is fantastic; the photos are accurate. It is right on the beach with a nice intervening green lawn and beautiful trees. The outdoor eating area and patio lounge area is fabulous and you can stare out at the sea all day (which is pretty much what we did for a couple of days). The beach in front is very private and just has a few people walking by occasionally. If you want a bit more action, it is a 15 min beach walk to La Cabana, a beach front restaurant/bar and surfing spot. In the other direction, there is a power plant, but you don't see it from the house and it did not bother us at all. The two bedrooms are identical and nice- perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen is well-equipped and we cooked 4 of 5 nights. Rental car is helpful. Summary- lovely place!

I had a great experience during my recent trip to Barbados. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the location—just a short walk to Worthing Beach, which was perfect for morning swims and sunset views. It’s also right off St. Lawrence Gap, so there were tons of restaurants, bars, and local spots to explore within walking distance. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient, well-kept spot in a vibrant part of the island!

Two retired British couples, one new to Barbados and one more used to staying in hotels around the island. We had the most amazing holiday and stay in Jasmine Villa. It is in a wonderful location and is elegantly and luxuriously furnished. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and everything we ever needed was there on hand. We prepared three quarters of our meals in the well-equipped kitchen and the others we took in restaurants on the West and South Coast. Sugar Hill Club was great for the pool and the restaurant, which we appreciated especially on the night we arrived. We also made great use of the Beach Club at the Fairmont Hotel, included with the house. We took taxis to/from the airport and rented a small car, delivered to the property, to explore many of Barbados' attractions and for shopping in nearby Holetown.

Staying at Anya's Place is a great little home and location to fully enjoy beach time and making quick stops at Jordan's supermarket for fresh salad ingredients and refreshments needed to keep hydrated and energized. There is a local buffet take away (Kylros) which makes the best pie and several other options. Sheri and Leah are always there if you have any queries. Very friendly and always there to help. Wonderful family and really nice neighbourhood.

Carl’s place is amazing! One of the best perks was to wake up in bed and watch the fisherman come up to the shore in their boats. The most beautiful views!! His place was very clean and having a washer / dryer came in handy. You definitely need a car to get around though,, but there is a bus that stops literally a few feet away. We went to Joan’s Snackette,, which is less than a five minute drive, for great food and drinks multiple times and the locals there were extremely friendly. I swam in the ocean right outside of Carl’s place and it was like having my own private beach. The pool was an extra bonus. Carl gave us some tips of where to go for sightseeing around the island. He’s also very responsive to any questions you have. Overall, an excellent stay and I would stay there again!

Wonderful place right on the water. Even more beautiful than the pictures show. The chef was absolutely amazing. The food she prepared was amazing! If you’re looking for a nice getaway to get a real taste of Barbados, I would highly recommend this place. If you’re renting a car, be advised that parking is a little tight.

Our second time hosted by David and Diana at St James's Bay Apartments (2) - and it was lovely to be back. For us, the local beach is such a gem and being able to access the next door bay too is very special. We will miss our early morning coffee on the beach followed by a gentle kayak before breakfast - it was pure bliss. We even got a swim with the turtles - gratis - and lucky for us wee seemed to time our stay with one of David's fishing trips... which meant we were the recipients of some beautiful Mahi Mahi one evening which we had cooked simply with blackened seasoning and it was a big winner with us all. Thank you David and Dian afor another very memorable and special stay on the island. We hope to see you again asap!

Jana is a perfect Airbnb host. She is accommodating and very excited to have you. Her house is wonderful. If visiting Barbados again I would def try to stay in the same house again.
