Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ayr

We loved our stay at Lyn and Bobby's cottage. Whilst being spacious, it was cosy and comfortable with everything that we could have needed... and more, as there was a wonderful welcome package waiting for us when we arrived. A lovely surprise! The property was very easy to find - just one road back from the main street in Kirkcudbright - and yet it was in a very quiet road. The cottage's location ensures that it's easy to walk to the centre of Kirkcudbright and to enjoy all it has to offer. There are restaurants, take aways and a 'Tesco's' supermarket within walking distance as well. We parked on the road just outside the property, which was made unloading and loading easy. Lyn was a very proactive host, contacting us before and during our stay to ensure that everything was clear and that we were happy. We have only positive recommendations to offer and look forward to our next stay!

Gorgeous stay at The old School house. The house had everything we needed for a girls weekend to chill. The place was very clean and Elizabeth was very responsive to any queries or needs we had. Thank you so much, would love to come back.

The perfect house for our family get together. Lots of space, well equipped kitchen, the games room was a hit, as was the hot tub! The house was warm with loads of hot water. Thank you!

A sweet place to stay. Clean with comfortable beds. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Close to anything one could want by car or cab. Very scenic area as one walks around. Walking distance to a large picturesque public garden where one can stroll around, with a cafe on site. We enjoyed being there.

We had a wonderful stay in Heather's beautifully stylish home. It felt very cosy and homely with great amenities and it was super easy to get into Edinburgh on the train. Would definitely stay there again!

What can I say - what a beautiful place to stay ! Was like our own little perfect castle . Was a perfect place for a girlie few days away to catch up as we all came from different corners of the uk . The hot tub was always going to be a winner ! The location and surroundings were just gorgeous ! On arrival we found a bottle of Prosecco left for us and the most beautiful bouquet of lilies !! The smell in the house was wonderful . Thankyou so much for a lovely stay and for making memories for us to keep forever !!!! Will definitely be back !!

Beautiful, peaceful, cosy flat with amazing views of the sea, Tighnabruich village & the Isle of Bute. This is a real home from home, with everthing you could need, its super comfy and so quiet, a real gem. Waking up & coming through to the sun streaming in the window & looking out to sea is a great way to start the day. Great walks all around & a dip in the outdoor pool at Portavadie is fantastic. Morag was easy to get in touch with & came back to any questions very quickly, stay here you will love it :)

Mary's place is a gem of a find. You will have everything you need to hand, it's clear she has thought of everything. Had a great sleep as it super quiet and peaceful. The views are outstanding. Get up early and see that sunrise

The apartment was great with plenty of space for the two of us + 1 dog. Bright and clean with a great layout. Finding the apartment was easy and it has a good position. The lift was always available and the building secure. The marina is lovely to walk around and access is easy for the coastal walk and beach. Owner and apartment manager responsive and easy going

We loved our stay in this very comfy, clean flat. It had everything we needed. Kenny and partner were great hosts and showed us around, gave us instructions on how things worked and also gave us some very excellent recommendations for places to go, places to eat etc which was very much appreciated. The flat is in a good area, a short walk from the centre. The furnishings are excellent, very quirky and made the flat feel warm, cosy and very relaxing. We looked forward to coming back to flat after a busy day of sightseeing. The kitchen is compact but again had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of drawers, hanging spaces and the bathrooms were very clean and tidy. We loved the hidden bookcase. We were sad to leave our little holiday flat and would highly recommend it to anyone. we would definitely book again when we return to Glasgow.

Lisa’s flat is beautiful with all the amenities needed for a long or short stay. The flat is very close to the train station, which is very convenient if you are getting here by train from Glasgow. If you are driving here, you can park on the street but if no space, try the station car park which is to the right of the apartment block - where parking is free! The noise was very minimal at night (whether cars or trains) and there was such a peaceful ambience throughout the whole building. We loved how Lisa had decorated the flat and the thoughtful touches in the kitchen - eggs, bread, milk etc and farmhouse style kitchen. Lisa was a great host, always responsive and gave us good recommendations. I would love to stay here again. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend this lovely stay! Margaret was an AMAZING host providing little welcome treats and communication was very timely. Location is perfect to be just outside Glasgow and very safe area. The flat is so cute and cozy. We will be back for sure!

We stayed here whilst visiting family over Christmas. very convenient for us and just next to the Spa shop for supplies. Spacious apartment, and good central heating needed at this time of year.

A gorgeous stay, beautiful scenery with options for walks and swims and a lovely environment. Equipped with everything you would want and a responsive host. We always have a lovely time when we stay here and will be back again!

We stayed as a group of 8 and could not rate our stay high enough! The area was stunning and private, the villa was spacious and comfortable and our host was attentive for the entire duration of the stay. We cannot wait to book our next stay and hope to make it an annual trip! 12 out of 10!

I would be hard pressed to remember a better equipped house. the hosts had literally thought of everything-from crabbing buckets to pizza cutters. on top of this of this to house was absolutely pristine and everything was very new and extremely well laid out and decorated. this is a fantastic base for up to two families to explore the local area. two minutes from the beach and from the local hotel. can't recommend it highly enough!

We were blown away with the beauty and character of this gorgeous home!! It’s totally unique and an amazing space to spend time with everyone. The indoor and outdoor space was wonderful, we wished it had been summer weather to enjoy the outside area! What a brilliant weekend! The house was perfect for our family get together. Great that all bedrooms had their own bathroom. The views from the house were incredible and the well stocked kitchen made it easy to make a family meal together. Our weekend turned out to be more special than I imagined with a surprise proposal and I’ll have the fondest memories of this beautiful house forever. Thank you to Laura for being so kind and thoughtful! Would recommend to everyone for a peaceful, relaxing stay by the water.

The Old Nunnery was easy to find. Entry was supposed to be a key code lock but this was broken. We could enter but not lock the door. One phone call and Tom who was looking after the property immediately attended and arranged for a locksmith. A new lock was fitted within a couple of hours which was brilliant. The house is large and provided great accommodation for the family. We were comprised of adults and older teens giving them space to socialise and play games but also space for everyone to watch a film together. Huge kitchen and dining room perfect as we took all our meals together creating a very special Christmas. We were 15 in total and it did not feel crowded.the kitchen has lots of crockery and cutlery and a fantastic bar area. Hot tub steam room and sauna which was greatly enjoyed. There are sone artworks as mentioned in previous reviews which might not be suitable for younger children. The views are stunning and many a morning spent watching the seals. Short drive to shops

Another great stay! Will definitely use Angus and Anne's accommodation again
