Grassy Creek Cabooses are a great place for a peaceful getaway. We enjoyed getting away from our schedules and responsibilities to just enjoy life in the mountains. Our daughter and fur-babies loved it, as well!

The Caboose was great! Very peaceful and clean. We will be back. We enjoyed the Hillsville Labor Day flea market.

Very fun and different kind of stay - and we happened to be there on the night of an open house next door at the old train station where the model train club meets. We saw the huge model train set-up in the back room. The caboose was clean and very comfortable. Great hosts, fast to respond.

We honestly loved staying here. The room is about a 30 minute walk from the center, but really worth that little hike as the view from our room was incredibly beautiful!! We enjoyed a lot of tranquility in the hill near nature. Eduardo gave us a lot of support during our stay, making many recommendations on where to go and how to get there. Thanks so much for that experience!

Cheryl's place was fantastic! The caboose was so cute and cozy. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. We enjoyed all the animals. The bison feeding was fun to watch, Cheryl's parents provided a lot of interesting facts about the bison. Looking forward to going back and taking the grandkids!

Nairan and Eduardo are very friendly people. Whenever I needed it, they supported me with kindness and agility. Aside from that, the space is great, comfortable, warm and very quiet, just as I expected. The view is gorgeous. Thank you so much for all the kind exchange and great stay. 🍀

Nice place with a great view

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

Absolutely wonderful! We loved the privacy of the location and relaxing in the hot tub. The space was spotless and so welcoming. Deb has gone above and beyond with thoughtful touches like spa robes/slippers and homemade bread and jam (which were delicious and she was kind enough to sell me some to take home with me!) I was thoroughly impressed with every detail and will most certainly be going back. I can’t recommend this place enough, Deb is the ultimate hostess!

My fiancé and I stayed in the caboose for a getaway over Valentine’s Day weekend. It was very cozy and the heater worked great. The lights are great and really add to the ambiance. The caboose is smaller compared to the box cars, so some may not find a futon as comfortable as a regular bed, but it has the best views of the valley in my opinion. The bigger cars don’t appear to have any west facing windows if you want a view in that direction. They are missing out by not highlighting the loveseat up in the cupola that provides outstanding views in all directions! It was quite snowy when we stayed, so we didn’t do much walking around the area. Mount Pleasant is a fairly small town, so there aren’t a lot of options for dining, but it does retain that cozy feeling I had as a kid visiting my grandparents.

This was easily one of our favorite Airbnbs ever! Such a unique spot full of charm. My wife and I can’t wait to come back. Amy was responsive and kind. You can tell she loves the Airbnb and has worked hard to make it the perfect spot for visitors! Highly recommend to anyone spending time in Cleveland!

This place was so cute . I thought it was very clean and cozy. I would definately choose it again . It was perfect for the occassion .

The vintage train was an amazing spot to spend a short birthday getaway trip for my 9 year old daughter with her bestie and her mom. Had everything we needed and close enough to Santa Fe for Meow Wolf stop. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.

These train cars have so much history and charm. Karla has really put so much thought and intent into the decor, the information and time period, and cozy comfort. Little touches like snacks, tea, coffee creamer, etc. beautiful plush towels and comfy beds and furniture. It felt so private and luxurious. The decks and surroundings are lovely and there really isn’t much around at all so it is so peaceful and quiet. I loved the guestbook too and felt so comfortable. Karla was also responsive and helpful, though I didn’t need much help at all because everything was so well thought out. The perfect get away for peace and solitude amid a cozy converted train car and caboose!

What a fun stay! The caboose was clean, neat and tucked away from most the homes in the area. Very peaceful place. Cute seating available for bonfire. Snacks and ice cream were available which made for a happy husband and son after a 4hr drive there. The caboose was worth the drive! Our 6 year old son announced he wanted to live there lol. We would definitely stay there again!

Just wow! We are locals to the area and wanted to treat ourselves ti an overnight stay and we were so pleasantly surprised at the accommodations! The train is just perfect and so unique! Parking and check in was so easy! We will definitely be staying again! ~Chad + Danielle

ill start by saying that we loved everything! we are local and needed a place for the weekend due to work being done on our cabin. we would highly recommend staying in the caboose. so well laid out! so many hidden gems that made ya keep looking for more. you can really tell that lots of artistic time and thought went into putting it all together. we will be back for sure!

We loved staying at The Lost Pearl! Very cool place! We stayed in the Pirate room the first 2 nights then the caboose the last night. So beautiful and neat, antique decor throughout the historical home. Daniel greeted us and helped us when needed with recommendations , but also let us do our own thing! They have goats and a mini store packed full of goat milk products & fun things! You can feed the goats. The breakfast that was made for us Saturday morning was DELICIOUS. He recommended the perfect winery/brewery to meet both our needs, a perfect hike-park area that took us to a local waterfall. No tv in the pirate room- we brought our projector and watched Pirates of the Caribbean and Titanic! Caboose has a smart tv and heater. We had a wedding our last night near by, came back to a fire built for us. Each room included a book with history about the property and local areas, recommendations to restaurants and sites, wineries, antique shops and so much more! We will be back! Loved it!

It was so nice to be able to get away yet still stay connected. Cynthia was so friendly and easy to communicate with. She truly made be feel like I was a 'friend' of the family. I will definitely be returning to the Caboose. Well worth what I paid for. This is a true gem with a fabulous host.

This is a great little spot with everything you need for a short visit. Very unique, rustic and charming. Quiet and peaceful. Easy to find and room to park. Highly recommend.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet post holiday getaway, and the Train Wreck Inn was great. Our host was responsive to us, which made our nice mini vacation even better. We do plan on another stay at the Train Wreck.

Patricia was a great host! Clear and simple instructions were sent and she was welcoming when I arrived a little later than I expected. Location is incredible. Great for walking or biking around Tucson. Close to street car stop as well. I really enjoyed the quirky train car! Bed was firm and perfect for my sore back.
