Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Amajuba District Municipality

Great location, quiet surrounds with a big garden and stunning views over the vlei. Comfortable and cosy accommodation but the house externally is in need of some maintenance. Fire pit not cleaned, broken weber, broken gutters, roof guards and a hole in the fence means there a little air of neglect/unfinished business about the space. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and the town of Wakkies is always a treat!

Enjoyed the tranquil town of Wakkerstroom. The Red Rouster Restaurant dinner was top notch and Christmas lunch at the Hotel was wholesale. The trip to the top of the mountain was enjoyable and the view from there is amazing. Take a picnic basket with. The accommodation was right at the vlei with a large variety of birds. The surroundings were quiet and afternoon walks are relaxing.

Susan was a phenomenal host and went the extra mile by contacting the local restaurant to advise them that someone will be ordering from them after trading hours as they would arrive in town late. Her place was extremely neat, and well kept and she made the stay effortless. Thank you for an amazing stay on short notice.

What a wonderful gem of a place. We enjoyed the amazing sunset views from the stoep and the peaceful surroundings. The house is well equipped, clean and comfortable. A perfect home away from home. We traveled with our dogs and they loved the big fenced off garden. The house was easy to find. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. We will definitely recommend a stay here!

What a historic gem! Beautiful Just is lovingly restored and furnished with antiques. The place is extremely cozy and makes you feel right at home. We could only stay for one night, but will definitely be back!! The house has everything needed for a longer stay and to 'cook up a storm'. The garden is huge - a fantastic spot to relax. Various restaurants are just up the road. The vlei nature reserve is equally close and worth a visit. Lovely bird hides.

Muhammed was very welcoming. The apartment was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. This was great value and a really nice stay.

We were the first guests to visit Rulani’s bnb as it was new and all I can say is that our stay was AMAZING. Amazing host, beautiful house, close to the shopping centres & very clean. It was also worth the money! We will definitely come back here again☺️

Theresa’s accommodation was great and I will definitely be staying here again. The place undersold and overdelivered. I almost gave Theresa a 1 star for the accurate description of the place, because the place is WAY BETTER than the pictures and description. The location is very convenient if you’re coming from Ladysmith/Durban direction and the accommodation is very private. Theresa communicated very well and was proactive. I felt like I was dropping by Newcastle to visit a distant Auntie! Thanks Theresa!😊
