Great weekend away for Valentine’s Day, close to Durham for a day out and very relaxing to come back and spend time in the hot tub, overall a great experience :)

We stayed in the Sung for a 2 night girls weekend away.. for a special birthday. Before we arrived, Sara was easy to contact, and allowed us to check in early to extend our celebrations. As we arrived, our Asda delivery was awaiting our arrival, which makes things much easier. The Sung was immaculate. The pictures don’t do it justice. The beds are incredibly comfy!! And the couch!! Sara pays so much attention to detail, and even made us a hamper to enjoy. There was Prosecco in the fridge, birthday cakes, and more - thank you!! We spent most of our time in the tub (which is maintained every day, and amazing at night when the stars are shining), and having one too many Proseccos, but there’s lots of walking to do. We ventured out to one of the local pubs which was delicious too. We forgot a bag when we left, and Sara called us and help arrange for us to come back and collect. We’ll definitely be back!! Had a lush trip for my boyfriend’s bday! We loved how quiet and peaceful it was. We really enjoyed eating with the view of the lake. We brought our dog too and he loved the open space. A highlight was Paul allowed us to play cards in the boathouse which was perfect for our last night. My boyfriend loved the hot tub and watching the stars at night. Would 100% recommend and Paul was great throughout

We had a fabulous family holiday here. The accommodation was perfect for a trip with small children and very dog friendly. Fabulous location with so many adventures on the doorstep.

Such a lovely spot for a family getaway. The patio looked out to woodland which was perfect for a secluded hot tub retreat. Location was great for tourist activities like Alnwick and Bamburgh, plus the zoo at the end of the road was awesome! The underfloor heating made the cabin toasty warm in what was a cold Feb half term!

I throughly enjoyed my stay at The Vista. Even though it was the end of December the weather was kind and meant I could enjoy the amazing view, even had the doors open a few times. And they say southerners are soft lol Kelly really has thought of everything and there wasn’t a time I thought ‘ah I wished I’d bought…with me’. It really is home from home. She is the perfect host and even arranged for a little Xmas tree to be put up for me ☺️ I very rarely revisit the same accommodation within the UK but I would definitely look to stay here again. Although not next year as those holidays are already booked.

wlWe have had a wonderful stay at Sunnybank. Waking up on a morning to the beautiful scenery, to see the deer, was equally as special as looking at the stars in the hot tub on a night. The place had everything we needed, my children loved the trampoline and the dogs loved the secure garden. The pod was clean and comfortable. We ate 1 night at the pub in the village. 5 minute walk. food was lovely! Highly recommend and hope to return in the future

Absolutely stunning lodge with everything you need for your stay. Very spacious and homely in a very peaceful setting. The place was very clean and tidy. Perfect for a family getaway and we would love to return !!!!

Had a lovely getaway to south meadows to celebrate our sons 7th birthday. Lodge was lovely, very cosy and plenty of space. The area surrounding was great for exploring and we had a lovely chippy from the local village. Staff at south meadows were helpful and gave recommendations for places to eat locally. Thanks for having us.

We stayed here just after new year, with our 3 children and dog. The caravan is perfect, really homely feel and perfect location! There was great communication start to finish from the host. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again 😊

From booking till we got there nothing was a chore to Lynn. Details to the caravan were spot on and access to the keys was easy. The caravan was spacious and despite the gales we had at the weekend was warm. Everything we needed was found in the caravan and the milk for a cuppa on arrival was appreciated, especially considering late arrival. We will definitely be looking to stay again when we are up visiting friends and family again.

Great stay at swan lodge, comfortable, homely and the hot tub was exactly what was needed on the cold December days. The walks around the site were brilliant and helped us create some great adventures with the kids. We would definitely recommend it and will look to visit again.

The snug is a lovely place to stay, very cosy and comfortable. Tom is a great host who communicated very well and was extremely helpful when we needed it. The caravan site is very quiet and peaceful and has amazing sea views.

We absolutely love this lodge as we have been before, unfortunately it wasn’t ready for us so we were put in another lodge which was absolutely stunning! We couldn’t fault the communication or the lodges. Will 100% be back again and will recommend

Lovely cabin, exactly as described. Hot tub heated on arrival which was perfect. No welcome gift, which was described in check in and always had previously at lodge stays which was a shame considering it was Xmas. Perfectly clean and essentials such as salt & pepper provided. Lots of cooking utensils which was great too. Easy to get to and perfect location!

This was a truly wonderful place to stay. Felt like home as every little detail had been thought about and was really cosy. It was perfect for the 6 of us. Great location right next to the sea with wonderful sunrises strolling along the beach. Beautifully decorated and well kept accomodation. Close to some fabulous attractions. We enjoyed Woodhorn Colliery museum, saw dolphins at Newbiggin as the sun set, a fantastic boat trip to the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne from Seahouses, Warkworth Castle and beach, and a stop in Amble. Thank you so much to our wonderful hosts who kept in good communication throughout and were really helpful. We would thoroughly recommend this place to others looking for a base to explore Northumberland and all it has to offer.

We booked for only 2 nights with not much notice. Great set up for the 3 of us. Could have spent longer there. Not easy to find initially but Jamie responded with remarkable swiftness! Appreciated the flexibility on check out as well. All good.

My fiancé and I stayed 2 night and everything about the stay was great, exactly as listed. Nicola was friendly and flexible with our late check in she recommended a few lovely places nearby. The accommodation was spotless. Newcastle centre just 25 minutes drive and a couple of smaller towns nearby with lots to do. There is also a lovely walking path down by the river and the cafe on site was good for a quick bite to eat int he mornings. 5 star stay for us!

I recently had the pleasure of staying in this lovely caravan,.The caravan was cozy and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was stunning, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We spent our days exploring the local area, and our evenings relaxing in the caravan, watching the stars. The owners were friendly and welcoming, providing us with plenty of helpful tips and recommendations for the local area. I would recommend this caravan to anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at Megan’s retreat. Sarah was a wonderful and attentive host who accommodated all of our needs. The accommodation was immaculate and Sarah left us a kind welcome gesture that we all enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and we would certainly return.

Honestly if you’re looking for a nice relaxing break this is where you need to go! Noelle is amazing from start to finish, always on hand if you need to know anything! The lodge is beautiful and clean, beds are so comfortable and it’s so chilled! The hot tub is the cherry on the cake! We will be back!
