Family-friendly vacation rentals in Alnmouth

The property is beautiful but Billy and Gill made our stay extra special. They couldn’t do enough to help us feel at home. The apartment was clean, spacious, warm, safe, cosy and exactly as described. There is a large lounge to relax in with a great range of DVDS, games and books. We also had access to the games room which our boys were intrigued by and found a lovely Pinocchio book, Disney jigsaw puzzle and had a little go on the snooker table. But the stand out was the garden with treehouse, trampoline and ride on toys - our boys were obsessed - it was all perfect for our needs. Nice little extra touches were the welcome treats on arrival for both us and our kids and a bottle milk in the fridge. Billy and Gill always had time to talk and make sure everything was okay for us. I had a treatment with Gill which was amazing and would definitely recommend. Already planning our next trip at Stonelea House - thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely home.

We had the best weekend staying here - the place was lovely, had absolutely everything you need, with Christmas decorations giving it a lovely touch! Great location: in the quieter residential part of Amble, but only a few minutes walk to pubs, shops and places to eat. The house had everything we needed and the hosts have done a great job of creating a home-from-home vibe. Plenty of space and the hot tub was ideal after long days of walking and exploring the area. And the welcome items from Chris and Georgie were very welcome!

Lovely cabin, lovely setting within a beautiful park, lovely little walk aroun the lake. Very dog friendly park which was lovey. Very nice hottub. Had everything you might need! Lots of things to do nearby if you have a car, and right next to the zoo.

We had the most amazing stay at the hide, everything was thought about even to the last details. Hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to make our experience phenomenal! Our favourite thing to do was to sit and relax in front of the beautiful scenery whilst our pooch explored the surroundings with a cup of tea in hand! Plenty to do not only within the surrounding areas but at the hide itself leaving you occupied at all times! We cannot wait to return next year and thank you again!

Just back from a lovely weekend away with the family and it was just what the doctor ordered. We arrived in total darkness and pouring rain to a toasty warm cabin which was much bigger than it looked in the pictures. Super location on the site down a little lane which was quiet and surrounded by woodland. The cabin itself was spotless and within no time the kids had picked their bedrooms and settled in. The cabin was a great base for exploring the North-East coast and after a days beach walking it was nice to come home and go for a soak in the hot-tub. The welcome pack a lovely unexpected bonus after a couple of hours drive. We will definitely return at some point in the future.

Absolutely fabulous hosts with an incredible property that’s spacious, clean and with every amenity catered for, as well as being pet friendly, with all this set in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hosts were very helpful as they checked in with us a few times before we arrived to make sure we understood the parking arranagements, particulary due to recebt road works by the property. Flat was very warm, clean, comfortable and was exactly as described. Perfect walking distance from town.

This is a nice and calm room in walking distance from a lot of nice shops and restaurants. You have everything you need in Jesmond but it is easy to reach Newcastle's city centre as well. Joanne is a great and helpful host! I would definitely recommend this room.

Superb cottage in a superb location and wonderful to have the hotel around the corner. Staff so helpful and friendly, it really made a difference to our stay.

we happened to visit in a storm and Richard couldn't have been more helpful when it knocked the electric off. the place is beautiful, the house has just a great energy and it was a space throughly enjoyed.

Ideal location, this annex was spacious, very clean, with a great shower & bathroom and a very comfy bed! This was our second visit, and although the weather was awful , there were plenty of places to visit nearby. Being near the A1 meant it was easy to get around, yet we were never aware of traffic noise even though we like to sleep with our bedroom window open! The White Swan at the end of the road does fantastic food, so we were able to eat there a few times. We had a problem with getting the heating on, and Ian was immediately on hand to sort it.We wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Old School annex for a stay in this wonderful area.

The house is in a great location and was fantastically warm over a very cold weekend. The beds were also reported to all be really comfortable. A great choice!

We had such a relaxing time at honeymug, such a cosy place and the kids loved playing with the great variety of toys and enjoyed a variety of mini cereals and croissants left out by John, that was very kind, thanks! So many local walks, cafes, castles, coast and to top it off a hot tub and swimming pool. Very recommended, we'll hopefully be back.

How was your host Nathalie is an attentive host, phone call on arrival as we’d got a little lost! Explained all facilities and gave us tips for days out & eating out recommendations. Perfect host. How clean was lodge Despite the smell of dog when we first entered the lodge, once we got inside & unpacked everything was clean & tidy. Plenty of cleaning products should we have needed them (we had brought our own just in case) Both bathrooms were clean smelt fresh. Facilities WiFi was a lovely addition, perfect for me to play on social media uploading my photos from each day. Lovely furniture with plenty of space to relax inside & on the deck. View of lake was stunning. Everything you need in kitchen & throughout the lodge from books, games, video games. Everything has been thought of. Thankfully the gas bottle held out. I did find this part a bit stressful. Understandably, Nathalie is concerned at the cost of gas bottles & fair usage of it. Perfect stay! We have loved it. Thank you

Fabulous little cottage. It's in a great area for nearby attractions. The Cottage itself is so pretty and contains everything you'd need. The games room, the pool and the chickens are an added bonus. We had a lovely stay.

We had a great few days in this little house, and were able to explore a number of different beautiful locations from this spot. Recommended for hikers and walkers, although you will need a car as the location is pretty remote.

Tumbler Rocks was just as described. Just a short stroll across the dunes to the beach and an easy walk into Seahouses town. The house was very well equipped with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. We stayed as a family of eight with two dogs and found it had ample space for all of us. Dogs enjoyed their early morning walks along the sandy beach and with the outside hose, paws were easily washed down! Plenty of eating places in the town and as a Coeliac found an excellent chip shop, Italian restaurant and Indian restaurant who could all provide gluten free choices for both sitting in and take away. Anthea was very approachable and helpful in answering any questions we had prior to and during our visit. Thank you for the use of your house for our family break.
